Stalker EM/SR Build
Enjoy it while it lasts, till you end up bitter freeze transfering stuff. Not worth looking at a build which could be good but only until the next patch goes live. Reroll Claws, I would. Dmg procs in HOd Focus would be nasty.

Yeah because having 2.7 seconds to react to an AS before the followup ET damage comes is going to be soo hard....
ET is not AS. Once it is activated you have 2.64 seconds (including reaction time) to kill the stalker or get some serious healing or you are dead.
Not all that easy...
If it has eyes, you can blind it, if it has blood, you can make it bleed, if it has a mouth, you can make it scream.
First of all its 2.67 seconds which is more than enough time to react to the incoming damage by popping greens for example. A 167% increase in cast time from how it used to be makes a big difference to the ability to survive the attack.
Second, I know it is not AS and never said it was. Lost in translation i think.
Third, ET would need to be used in conjunction with another attack if the target is at full health, making the defeat chance even less
Its not all that hard if the player knows what they are doing...
I have been away for a while sorry to butt in but I wanted to know as I have just rolled out a EM/SR stalker. Are you telling me its not worth it now due to changes coming up and if so whats the better choice for attack?? coz I was always told it was EM

I wouldn't worry about it, I think EM is still gonna be awesome.
EM is still good on stalkers but SR sucks, so just go em/wp or em/regen

Are you talking about PvP only? PvE? Mixed PvP/PvE?
SR does NOT 'suck' in PvE. PvP? Well, since I couldn't care a pile of foetid dingos kidneys about PvP, then I have no right to comment on it.
This sort of generalisation gets right on my pectorals. If you're in the game for PvE, then take whatever damn combination of powersets you want to for character concept reasons or even just 'ooh, that looks shiny' reasons. All of them will work. Some will work better than others, and some will require some serious dedication (and possibly mild insanity) on the players behalf to make them work.
Received wisdom in this game is very rarely right.
(BTW, I've got my DM/SR Stalker to 48, heading on 49 and have the grand total of one debt badge. I really REALLY don't consider SR to 'suck' in PvE gameplay.)

PvE Sr is great because def is good in pve. In PvP def is [censored]. Since SR is a def based set it doesnt do the best in pvp.
Lol my apologies i just saw you wanted an em stalker and assumed it was for pvp, but yeh SR in pve is pretty brilliant i have an sr scrapper and in pve he does great but pvp not so good . I think if you want a stalker for PvE only take spines for the aoe Spine Burst or electric melee for the aoes also.
if you well check the build this SR doesnt suck in pvp when you launch Evasion, you reach 180% range defense with IO set bonuses (which cap around at 203%). With one large def inspi if needed you cap def range which is absolutely good enough even if blasters with empathies are targetting you. Phase shift is another way to escape from a fast rush in the middle of heroes. Superjump allows you to target easily a landed ennemy and SR has +perception and can see hidden. His resistance to -def and -recharge -speed is another good point. EM/SR doesn't suck at all if you know how level rate your defense should be before to engage a target!
Invisibility is an option after an attack to revovery faster hide unless ennemies has +perception then if they can touch you got phase shift. Mélée def is not needed because you won't stay long in mélée without evasion, and if you do so, mélée bonus tohitbuff are always lower than ranged AT's. Only learn how to play is the best way to complete the task you consider like impossible for SR in pvp. My EM/SR has reach max reputation pvp point and is really really not often taken down. No need to have heal just carry some green inspi^^, violet for def increase if you need and few blue to launch phase at Evasion's end.
Edit: if you team with fortunatas or her epik sister its damn hell great buffs for ya!
Btw SR def is Ranged/mélée/AOE based that means that the kind of damages is not taken in account to check if it will touch you or not. The def based on damage type is the ONE that sucks pve AND pvp like stalker's Energy shields or invulnerabilty defensive shields. SR is much better that you think.

It doesn't matter how much defense it's got, in zones you will face alot of blasters and a half decent blaster with a few accuracy bonuses from IO's will just powerboost+BU+aim and rip through that defense like it was nothing.

WP,Regen are top choices and if you really want defense based toon go for a ninjitsu that at least resists fear too and has a self heal.
Its certain that an SR will die uppon stepping in PvP zone if a decent blaster is roaming about.
Elude and evasion really dont mean squat against any half decent blaster with a decent build.
And finally evasion is worthless when blaster nukes you to really low hp and DoT takes over and you right there wish you had rolled a Ninjitsu instead.

Not really.
Blaster's overpowered by powerboost+BU+aim and buff by empathy is MISSING a SR in Elude's with ~180% ranged def. I remind you powerboost has been a bit nerf too. Def under 140% sucks really but after 170% def you are in peace. SR is spe def but ninja def sucks at 120%. As you believe it sucks so much i consider you don't have any SR with such build making you able to CHECK what i am saying! I do say after testing, i can even run around a full group heroes within their empathies buffs and double aims, they keep missing me!
