Yes, and usually there's an extensive body of work, structured upon a lifetime of experience of the person who directed them, supporting that.
As for that band and what passes for music these days I can only say they're aptly named.

Nothing wrong with Disturbed, they've done some awesome stuff, "classic" is a very subjective term though.
And I agree with Stasis, Stupify is not one of their best songs (I'd go with Sickness personally, would be a great song for a poisonous toon ) but again, it's all relative, personal and subjective really
