Tping in PvP

I know tp out of the base isn't ment to happen but still does. Which I persoanly think is a very low tack tick.

Now I will proably get slated for this but I belive tping in to a base should be surpressed to.

The reasoning behind this if your in the base tping team mates out of danger you are playing a PvP but can not be targeted. Now I have nothing against being tp away so long as the person who is tping away can be targeted to.(ie has to be in zone and activly playing) After all they are intreacting in the zone.

I would go as far as to say no buffing to but that would deffinatly get shot down :P

Huh? The point of Recall Friend is to get allies out of danger and TP'ing them safely into the base is a good and valid technique.

The only good side to this is that droning would become a thing of the past.

I don't deny this and you can still do this but not from the safty of the base. If your pvping and your tping plp you are involved in pvp so there should be an ellement of danger to you. Currantly there isn't.

There isn't supposed to be an element of danger when you're using Recall Friend, that's why there's an interrupt duration. It was designed to be used outside of combat.

again can't dispute that but it was origanlay desighned for PvE as was most things with in this game. Surly a change for PvP is in order

Here's a few things about TP in PvP... you can tell me if you agree or not.

1) Recall friend is a valid power same as any other and I can think of no way to abuse it especially with the long activation time.

2) TP Foe out of base is the same as TP Foe anywhere else... You can't say that its unexpected and therefore unfair. Its the same no matter where you are on the map, if your that bothered about it, go into rest mode in Base.

3) TP Foe into base is the only thing I would consider unfair, as this is an instant kill (Drone) and serves no purpose other than to P*ss off your opponent. At least TP outta base you still have the chance to fight back...

Infact there has been many a time i have Tp'd a stalker out of base and found that the brute scale Hp of WP and the Energy Melee factor made me wish i hadn't... lol

Everybody can access to TP, so it is fair, as easy as that...

True but when your fighting someone who is buffed with everything but the kitchen sink from a empath, troller and a defender who you get with in an inch of life only to have them tped away its a right pain in the [censored].

I think the main problem with this tactic is that some in the zones use it to just [censored] people off rather than to pvp.

Yes leave it in but put a -tp effect in each base to stop non combatants taking advantage of a pve power.

Or just remove the drones and npc from pvp zones this would make droning a thing of the past and add a risk to the non combatant who is just standing there tping, and also being TK into drones as this has started to happen now as well.

I disagree i think that Tp Foe is a PvP power, always has been...
As for the -Tp in base, dont think thats a good idea either cause there is nothing more annoying than your bounty being AFK in base trying to get the Sirens song badge..

Screws up the bounty system for people who are there for actual pvp..

I love TPing them out, pesky badgers.
Unless its an Elec brute which is a pain in theass...

Although Drone TPing is a bit of an annoyance, there's part of me that still thinks of it as PvP. I find myself getting annoyed when, say, an opponent intentionally gets NPCs involved, as you get debt... but with the Drones they don't give debt, it's just a cheeky tactic. When I'm Drone TPd I find myself more smiling and giving a personal applause to the person that did it, as it's my fault I got too close!

I rarely see it, though, and it only occurs when one side is obliterating the other (and ofc able to camp outside their base...) and this is probably the main reason why I don't mind it- it gives the other team breathing space as well as making them feel like they've killed a few.

The only way to stop it would be to put a -TP in base, which would stop anything that can be interrupted, including TF Friend etc, which would be a unnecessary loss.

I think what MM is referring to here is when a player uses a second account to stand in the base and do nothing but act as a buff bot and emergency teleporter. 1 player, 2 toons, sends uberness pvp toon into the fray, gets in a wee bit over its head, health starts droping to below acceptable levels, start retreat, alt tab to tp bot, recall friend back to base, alt tab back to main toon, start taunting on BC about how great they are as no ones ever been able to kill that toon.

Seen it in RV, Sirens not sure about WB.

Whats also annoying is in RV the 2nd account nicks a heavy and just stands there with it doing nowt thus depriving one person of it use

Get a team-mate and kill him faster.

Go and get a full inps of reds to hit dmg cap and kill him faster.

Move out the zone, he will be [censored] off with so many toons he logged in and noone to fight.

Cage him, and laught at him coz he cant tp him.

Overall, r u saying pvp is unfair?? That is rule no.1

So mob tp'ing/wormholing is ok but drone tp isn't? At least people don't get debt and they can avoid the droning by just using their heads and staying out of range.

Is it a cheap tactic? Perhaps, but no more so than people who bring on multiple accounts to help hammer single players. I really don't see a problem with it.

But what you said there imo is not pvp its done just to [censored] people of and claim that they are uber as they cant be killed, anyone who needs to use drones to win at pvp or infact needs two accounts to act as a buff bot is imo not a good pvper and needs to practice more.

And you're quite entitled to think that. I don't usually use either of those tactics(although I admit I have once or twice). My point was that I don't really see how droning is any less fair than other common pvp tactics.

It's so easy to avoid being droned. Even a horse, probably the worlds most stupid animal, learns not to keep running into an electric fence after a while...

As for dual logging, Its not exaclty a hack is it.. I mean what the difference from 1 person controlling the toon as apposed to 2 people? If anything that should make it easier for you to kill 1 of them.
