Yes... unless you're a north american, that's not a billion (tera or 10 to the power of 12). That's a thousand millions (giga or 10 to the power of 9). Congratulations anyway. I guess farming DOES pay off.

It's called Milliard(10^9) and came from the french. Billion is used by american-english, Milliard is more common in non-english languages. Billion has pretty much taken over from the "thousand million" that was standard some 10+ years ago. Saying Billion now is not wrong.

Haha i just remember from english class in school. We had a huge discussion on weather the swedish word was translated to Billion or Milliard. Ended with the teacher having us do a paper about it. Found out both are correct!

As Blue Rabbit says... Americans believe 1,000 millions is a billion, and as they say it's right...everyone else falls into line. However a true Billion is ....1,000,000 millions, which BR put very succintly.
Going back to the OP. It's a great achievement getting to that point, but why bother.... Most people spend their influence on improving their build....so the OP's must be S**T on that assumption. Like Cynic said, I spend what I gain... and the maximum I've ever had was 60m.

Yes... to industries where that kind of subjectivity can mean huge money losses or the loss of lives, I'm sure they go with billion for 10^9. Just because the north americans (it's all gone to teh americans!) use it with that meaning doesn't mean the rest of the world have to follow them like sheep.
I know about the milliard word (I have access to Wikipedia just like you and the rest of the people who use the internet) but if an ISO rule already exists stating what is which and how it should be referred to, I'll stick to that, thanks. Especially when you take into consideration short and long scales which just add more noise to the mix.

I'd have to fall firmly into the camp of "what's the point hoarding it" though. I tend to keep about 100 million on a "banker" toon at any one time and only 1 million on each of the rest of them (for changing rep and insps).
Yesterday afternoon I had about 200 million on the aforementioned banker toon (Nightdagger), which was all spent on my new Fire/Ice Blaster who had just dinged level 47. There's about another 150-200 million left to go before that Blaster is IO'ed up (mainly Membrane HOs for Aim/Build Up, ST ranged attack sets and LOTGs), which I expect to have done by next week, along with getting my "Bank" toon back up to 100 million.
I really don't see the point in amassing inf "just to have inf amassed" given that it's so easy to come by the stuff when you actually need it for something. Also, I tend to get rather bored just farming mobs...
Actually USING the inf to fund stuff like good IO builds is another story though. Since i9 hit I've fully IO'ed a Spines/DA Scrapper, a Sonic/Elec Defender, a INV/SS Tanker and a Human/Dwarfie PB... along with partially IO'ing out two MMs (Bot/Dark and Bot/Traps) and a Stalker (EM/Regen).

I don't waste my money on sets, i much prefer creating my own Mix N' Match sets, that give good percentages, its more fun than just whacking in numbers to the AH/BM and crafting it, can be fun working with the numbers.

Acc - 95.22%
DMG - 95.50%
End - 79.23%
Rech - 95.22%
Could use a SuperRare for an Xtra 1%...But costing around 25Mill its not worth it ;-)
