  1. Personally I'd suggestion Zom/Dark, skip the blast powers from Zom, and get right into the fight alongside the scrapper. Means you have to worry far less about healing the scrapper, as you'll be popping Twilight Grasp as soon as it comes off cooldown, keeping both him and your pets in better health.

I also personally grabbed Air Superiority to give me an extra way to occupy a mob and stop them from hitting me too much, though remember that a MM is often tougher than a lot of other characters due to Bodyguard mode.
  2. Seems related to the shadow options, I had these whilst using Vista64 and an 8800GT, soon as I turned off the shadows, it went away.

Not the best option but I guess they haven't quite got the shadows to work properly.
  3. Personally I think that Dimensional Shift should *partially* phase the enemies, reducing the damage they deal and take, but still allowing some attacks to land.
  4. Ok, I'm toying with my second Mastermind, after having got a Necro/Dark to level 50 and I'm wondering, is Stamina really necssary to a Mastermind if you avoid the toggles such as Leadership?

At the moment I'm looking at a Demon Summoing/Thermal and I'd really like to get all my primary and secondary powers, as they all look useful to the character, letting me fill the niche of a support character, whilst still retaining a good damage output.
  5. As a side note, sometimes when you crash the server will roll you back a minute or so, hence why the power disappeared but let you reaquire it when you retook the quest.
  6. This might be fairly simple, the smallest plot now, IIRC is limited to only 1 power OR control item, thus you need to use the Oversight room and that whacky combined unit OR you need to upgrade the plot size to the next one up and start paying rent.
  7. As long as I get XP! It's my Stag Do on the 31st, but as long as I'm concious in time, look for Dr Lazarus! levle 46 Mastermind
  8. You know an /e beer would be worth paying for

Be perfect for those nights when you just wanna sit on a park bench and knock back a 40
  9. I say sell the pre-order sets as a pack, with maybe another set of Arachnos armour to make it worthwhile.

Wish it worked against sleep though!

Sleep is easy to deal with, chuck a Transfusion at the ppl asleep and the heal wakes them up.
  11. I'd go with Willpower, I've tried an invulnerability tanker and it's just painful working up to the early 20's. When I re-rolled him to try out the new set, I was amazed at the difference, simply being able to last an entire fight without being heavily damaged or out of endurance was great.

The hardest part with Willpower, is that you don't want to skip any of the powers I've ended up at 26 so far and only *just* taken my travel power...
  12. An old style hami raid sounds fun

Unfortunately my main is probably a bit useless being a Mind/Empathy controller...
  13. I'm definately in the camp of "Clear Mind is a heal not a buff". Perhaps it's because I'm a controller and thus Empathy is less important than me laying down my controls.

Yes, I appreciate it can be used as a buff, but with a duration that seems to be about 1-3 minutes, it's a real pain to keep an 8 man team protected. If I'm fighting mez heavy enemies (like Rikiti) and it's likely I'm gonna get mezzed myself, that's when I'm gonna consider using CM as a buff, and even then I won't use it on tanks or scrappers (who should have their own protection)
  14. I'd be interested to see how Hami Raid's have changed since I last did one in I7...
  15. Given the vast areas of crossover there is already, I've be quite happy to see all the various sets opened up to the appropriate AT's.

That said, there's perhaps one that needs to be kept locked down, Defender's Psychic blast because the damage type would become very unbalancing in low level PvP and in fact, most of the game.

But yes, I'd love to try an Axe brute

    Excellent work Agent Wabbit!

This is why we need an WoW dueling system right now, to follow her around constantly 24/7 until she cracks and hands all the influence out in a mad rush of sleep depreivation!

And here's me wondering what happened to all the influence that people had saved up.

Guess it all flowed into your accounts!

Problem is, (as i believe i stated earlier) I dont really fancy making a /emp troller. I want to be able to focus on my primary (which if you make /emp is harder

    [/ QUOTE ]

Not true! Infact, my current level 50 build has me without stamina and thus I have all but one power from my primary (left out ST Confuse). I use a combination of Recovery Aura and Conserve Power from the energy primary to keep going, plus Hasten and Geas of the Kind Ones to ensure they come up fast enough.
  19. Personally I always favoured Empathy on my Mind controller. Since Mind has sleep it helps having powers that are useful but don't cause any effect to the enemies. In fact, my level 50 has even managed to work without Stamina
  20. Well I have a level 17 Fire/Rad guy but I tell ya something there's nothing super about him as he has some serious End issues...

    New Age Tankers

Here's me thinking that you played a tank just to be a rock hard character who could also pound people to mush...

Seriously, it might not be the most effeciant use of the character, but I'm having a barrel of laughs just jumping into the middle of a group and laying some smackdown, all the while using taunt to grab the odd runner. Speaking as someone who leveled a controller empath as my first character and a kinetic defender as my second, healing is a hundred times easier if everyone is in melee range, all piling in and hurling their AoE's.
  22. Personally, I've found my mind/empath to be a totally dedicated team support build. I can heal, I can get dead members up and running again, I can reduce their incomming damage quite drastically (both via control and team buffs) and I can also inflict some quite reasonable damage.

What more does team support need? I think the most telling aspect is only ONE of my powers goes unused for any length of time, Clear Mind, and that's only because 9 times out of 10 it's best applied as a "heal" rather than a buff.
  23. Max is correct, I can confirm becase I recently went out to destroy a supertroll mob with my level 50 controller and they DEFINATELY were flying higher into the air, somewhere around the height of the top of the nearby warehouse...

In this case I see it means not resetting the zone just for the hell of it when people are AV hunting.

    [/ QUOTE ]

But it's not just for the hell of it. Maybe they were competing for control of the zone (as the developers intended when they made the zone), or maybe they were there for the increased prestige you get during the reset.

Whether you like it or not, the aim of the zone is win control for your side. You can't complain if people do just that.

    [/ QUOTE ]

However, bear in mind that quite often the person that resets the zone IS ON THE SAME SIDE as the AV hunters, thus they aren't really competing with the other side to win, they're not so much competing as ruining people's fun for their own benefit. After all, they can a) kill the AV with the rest of the heros and b) still claim the zone once the AV's down.

If it's the other side that resets the zone, well that gets a bit more vauge. On the one hand they're just using the zone as intended, on the other you can argue that if they've managed to steal the zone back from the point of AV spawn, then the chances are they can wait 5-10 minutes and take control anyway because clearly the other side doesn't give a monkeys about "winning"
