Awww, we almost got them all. Pity Synapse didn't show and then someone decided to show up and sabotage a planned and announced event on the forum.
Not going to name names, you know who you are. Nice of you, when you have the badges, to go and spoil other people attempts to get them. Really classy. But then, what can one expect from PvPers?

Well we're trying for Synapse this evening after Hami Raid 21.00-21.30 GMT and hopefully the heroes won't ruin it again. Anyone who couldn't make it feel free to join us this evening multiple teams worked well.

For the record, I'm not a PvPer, but gets really frustrating to see people whinge about PvP zones. As stated in many posts, PvP zones are fair game....anything goes.... so whether you organised an event or not, heroes can attack at will...? and probably will do...? and vice versa for villains who attack hero groups, doing forum scheduled events.
P.S. I play both CoV and CoH, so not bias either way.

There is a thread started on Heroes for thier bash at the badges in Recluses Victory, and someone stated that a stalker ruined it for them last time.
Its a very common thing for villains and Heroes to go after these badges and its even more common for requests not to 'Ruin It' for either side. It it the minority that always ruin it.
Last night we had a Hero, that, even at the request of the other Heroes (who where watching us tackle Statesman) to not fight the Villains the player in question just ignored and was ganking players at low heath.
Now that is not a way to gain friends and influence people is it. What he was doing was alienating himself to both Heroes and Villains as most of us all play both sides.
He was doing nothing wrong in the zone in his eyes apart from upsetting 20+ Villains AND Heroes that where trying to have a reasonable nights entertainment.
It would have been totally different if all heroes had decided to fight the villains then the Zone would have just ended up being empty like usual.
Im not bias either as I play both sides but I would not single handedly try and ruin another groups fun and have a large group of the player base noting my name down for exclusion in anything else in the game.
Hate to say it but it is a PvP Zone, and this will happen - there was 20 of you, a couple of spotters could have taken out a lone rogue...

Yeah, I dropped by with one of my villain alts and thought I'd lend a hand if you should need it, but I kinda knew it would evolve into a grief-fest when I spotted mr. "Need villain in debt!" at Alpha.

I do understand that and have no problem with it normally, but I think the kind of behavior that went on was not sporting in any form and the word sporting is being empasized. Waiting for Statesmans mightly wrath to unleash leaving you with one hit point and then someone ganking you is hardly sporting or fun.
We did get statesman in the end after an epic battle
Yes we did get a couple of people to take out said player until he got fed up ketting killed but in the heat of battle against Positron and Backalley it was hard to desifer who was the culprit and who where the Heroes that where just watching.
The worst thing is when you get the Heroes (or AVs if you're playing on the other side) and someone destroys the pillboxes starting the timer and you don't have time to kill the Hero/AV before they disappear. The Heroes/AVs take a lot of pounding and we warned the other players not to take over pillboxes but some continue doing it purposely to ruin it for others.

Why should other players have to stop playing just because you want the badges? The whole point in having Statesman and Co spawning is to help the Heroes 'win' the zone.
You have to work around them, not the other way around.

At the end of the day it's called "Consideration for others", just because the zone was designed for PvP doesn't give you the right to be an idiot about it.

Why should you be able to commandeer the zone and stop all other activities? From the posts in this thread, people aren't allowed to PvP while you're doing this, and they also aren't allowed to farm turrets...that's pretty much everything.

Please don't criticise PvP players for PvPing in a PvP zone. It's what they're for.

Yes, I have to say I'd like to see that one explained as well. 
Consideration for others goes both ways. Is it considerate of others to expect PvP players in a PvP zone not to engage in the type of gameplay they enjoy and that the zones were designed for?
As I have said before, PvP zones are just that - PvP zones. If you do not wish to engage in combat with other players, please do not consent to PvP by choosing to enter these zones. If you do consent to PvP by choosing to enter these zones and are engaged in combat, please do not criticise the players involved - they are only doing what the zones are designed for and what you consented to by entering the zone.
Can't say much fairer than that really. Just gotta organise yourselves and have people watch out for Heroes as well. If the badges were intended to be easy to get en masse, then they wouldn't be in a PvP Zone in the first place. But walking out of there with them having survived both Heroes and their AI reinforcements and crushing both just makes that accolade that much more potent and shiny.
We're villains....destruction and annihilation is what we do best! Next time if I read this in time we may even send in a team of bodyguards to keep PvPing Heroes off your backs. Can you imagine the battle? Would be epic fun.

And therin lies the rub, generally speaking in our society we choose to go with the consent of the majority, that we should take actions based on what's best for the greatest number of people.
In this case I see it means not resetting the zone just for the hell of it when people are AV hunting.
Of course, I said nothing about jumping up and down on them a few times, it is a PvP zone and it's definately a step too far to say "pls dont attack me, I'm badge [censored]"

But it's not just for the hell of it. Maybe they were competing for control of the zone (as the developers intended when they made the zone), or maybe they were there for the increased prestige you get during the reset.
Whether you like it or not, the aim of the zone is win control for your side. You can't complain if people do just that.

Why would you want to control the zone anyway? If im not mistaken theres few rewards for it..
