Indeed a fascinating, and intelligent debate. I find myself siding with Ammon's PoV, simply because that's how my feelings originally lay, but Catcus made some very convincing points too.
I'll continue to follow all such debate, and of course LoRDs RP with much interest.
As Mr Architect was stating so... amusingly, RP in these MMORPG's is hard. I wasn't involved with much actual RP, but I did read many, many similar threads in WoW RP forums... where the vocal, intelligent population there were equally trying to make interesting plots/stories unfold in a static world of naked dancing female nightelves and a million demon pocessed werewolf gnomes.
I must stop, before I get caught in a loop of infinate waffle...

It it moves the plot, reveals character or changes relationships, the scene might be worth posting here or in the RP section of the new LoRDs threads on the Militia site.
I would PM what you have written to any other players whose characters are involved so they can maybe add their own thoughts, interpretations on the action or conversation.

Hey Lords! Sorry to have been away so long without notice. I'm actually messaging from an internet cafe because I'm in the middle of a change of home. Damsel and I got our own place.
My current problem is a dilemma on broadband providers, most require an active BT phoneline which I don't have or want. Any advice? A friend of mine recommended Virgin. I'll give them a call for now and see what can be done and how soon. Talk later! Pious.

Just want to add at this point that i may be a little miffed at KM-Tech being dragged into this without consulting me first, due to other 'projects' they're working on, but i am not a complete [censored], and will be happy to discuss with any* of the LoRDS, OOC, about using them, and how they can be worked in. (IE purchase information, etc)

So far it is just a mention as a possibility. KM-Tech are not the lowest profile company in the game-world, especially not after supplying their PACS during the second Rikti invasion. I think it is perfectly reasonable to expect the LORDs to know that the company exist, and that the war hero CEO was able to regain a license.
Before your creation would be used in any way there'd obviously be OOC discussion regarding how the company deal with large anonymous orders. No godmodding or abuse is planned here.
At this stage it may well be Corpmunitions that are used, as they've already expressed a desire to become involved in the plot, but it simply struck me that your company would be slightly more 'top of mind' at a moment's thought, and that the added twist of implicating a 'turncoat' hero would be something they would consider.
I'll PM you with the OOC stuff and we'll see how it goes from there and whether you actually want to be involved in any way.

I want to write in a piece that places the Priest on the islands, as he enters to help the native peoples. Meanwhile, Pistol of course, attends the meeting. But you're the game master of this plot Romanov, can Pious and other heroes enter the island?
There is no reason why the Priest and others cant enter the Liberty Islands . You could PM me with any measures being taken to provide a cover or avoid detection.
Im also interested in the thought processes that would take The Priest or heroes to the islands at this stage. So far the violence has been between the military and Vanguard, there have been no reports of civilian casualties. There have been scuffles between the rival political factions and their supporters, but this is minor compared to things that happen in Paragon on an hourly basis.

After reading this post, i must say i have to agree with both sides, and disagree.. but the fact this that if an event was to happen on this plot, my characters ( well some not all of them) would react to it, as i theat the game world as an alternate earth, the point of i have two characters with their own campanies based either worldwide, or in England, and that there is one character whoes Group has been around since well the dawn of magic, who are in the process of hovering their base back to England.
Yes, i am aware that most of my characters are English, because that is where i am, so it is the easyist thing for me to do. Other than that they are their own people as such, RPed differently and would in due course react differently to events that would unfold in the game world.
Now, tell me if im wrong or have jumped in at a bad time BUT if you can't deal with the game world and the whole missing back story bits, the "what is going on elsewhere on earth?" bits, and the stepping on others toes then, i would have to Agree with Hatesman, and the points made in his post. That is all.
This should be the only time i will post here, unless i need to reply to posting about this post.
