Got Memorabillia the day before and work the day after so it entirely depends on my mood.

If I feel like joining on the day will bring a Fire/TA

"Well, they found my diary today.
They were appropriately appalled
at the discovery of the eight victims
They're now putting it all together.
Women wrapped in silk
with one leg missing
Eight legs, one body, silk,
spider, brilliant!"

Wanting to do this also as I haven't tried taking him down since the changes.

Just hope I get back in time as I'm at the Memorabilia Show the day before also and am having to drive back up to Newcastle (with a few stops in between).

Put Captain Solaris Rad/Red Defender onto the list.

Plan for the hami-raid on 25 november 20:00

We will follow the plan described in this link :
http://paragonwiki.com/wiki/index.php/Hamidon_Raid (thanks Amigo)

General rules:
NO costumes with Aura’s or Wings or Capes, there will be enough lag without them !
EVERYONE needs Essence of the Earth (EoE) inspirations.
HAMIDON does untyped damage, so no shields work. Only EoE protect you.
INSTUCTIONS will be given on the request channel. Please have it open in your current tab.Don’t use the request channel to chat or ask questions, use broadcast or local for that and ask your teamleader.
If you don’t like DEBT or getting KILLED a couple of times, don’t come to the raid.
TEAMWORK is essential, so do as the raidleader says and follow the instructions of your teamleader.

Reading the guide I came up with the following plan:

A: Special teams will be formed . these are:

Main Tank team: 2 Tanks, and a couple of ranged healers. They will needs lots of essence of the earth inspirations(EoE).
Yellow team: Melee attack, this means up to 6 Scrappers or Tanks and 2 healers.
Blue teams: Ranged attack, this means up Blasters, Controllers, Defenders and Kheldans.
Each team should have about 2 ranged healers.
Green teams : Hold attack , this means mostly Controllers, but if you have a hold power, you can help too. While the green team holds, everybody else can help with the damage.
Heal /buff team : a team used to heal and buff everyone. also needed to heal people after the wipe after the bloom.

To form these teams, the teamleaders need to know your AT, if you have powers like group fly, inertia reduction etc. The aim is to get balanced teams, this will probably mean you won’t be able to stay in a SG team or teamed with friends.

Phase One: in this phase we will clear some mitos near each other. This will give the main tank room to taunt Hamidon. Everybody can attack, but should be using EoE. Move in a clockwise way, attack your teamleaders target.
Once there is some room, everyone retreats and the main tank moves in. He will taunt Hamidon so we get less damage. The next phases will start near the tank.

Phase Two : The Yellow teams move in and attack the yellow mitos. Essence of the earth inspirations will be needed. If we have one team, we will move clockwise, with 2 we will move anti-clockwise too.

Phase Three : The blue teams move in and attack the blue mitos from a distance. A main blue targetter will be named. Move clockwise.

Phase four: the green teams hold the green mitos. Again , there will be a main targetter. While the green team holds the mitos, everyone can attack them. Move clockwise.

Phase Five: All mitos are cleared the people in your team with recall friend and resurrect will stay far away, so they can teleport people out later. Then we attack the Hamidon itself. When it reaches 75% , 50% and 25% health, it will respawn all the mitos. This will probably result in mass deaths. The teleporters will teleport everyone to a safe spot and resurrect will follow. After a few tanks are resurrected we could lure a GM and use a Dark Miasma resurrect.

Phase Six to twenty : we repeat phase Two to Five, until the Hamidon is defeated.

To make good teams, pls name your AT and powers And the color team you want to be in. You should mention if you have superjump, group fly, teleport, inertia reduction and holds.

example using my lvl 50 heroes :

Kjai Belorong Stone/axe tank, yellow team, one hold.
Dark spider: Spine/sr scrapper with team tp.
Mercury singer: Sonic/Dev blaster
Morgan La fey : Mind/kin controller with group fly
Green anhk : Empath/nrg defender one hold

Raid Leader : Morgan La Fey
Main Tank team : Kjai Belorong
Yellow team ark Spider
Blue team: Mercury singer
Green team : Morgan La fey
heal/buff team : Green anhk

just an example.

Gorerider inv/ss tank, yellow team (unless you can't find 2 good granites)

granite doesn't help against hamidon, it does untyped damage !

But Stone tanks may be preferrable, since they have better regeneration

Then again, I have no idea how much regeneration will help against Hami, even with EoEs

I'm aware of that, that's why you have to eat EotE like candy ;p. I was thinking about the effectivness of invicibility with no targets in melee range vs. single power wonder aka granite.
But you still make a good point, untyped damage => untyped defense type. I'll try to dig out more data.

What the heck does invincibility have to do with this...You dont prolly even use it in a hami raid. Invul tanks can at least FLY or jump with their anti-mez power on..

Erm there is no defense or resistance to Hamis attacks apart from the special insps...Hami always hits 100% iirc. What data are you digging..

i can stand in as substitude for the tanker team, although i cant jump or fly (lol @ hammer). Do have nearly perma hasten and believe perma EE. Downside, only got 1 slot in taunt..

In the raid plan it speaks of a Tank to pull a gm after the wipes, we found it easier to use the Oil Slick arrow provided by a TA defender or troller last time, less risk, and you can do it more often.

I would be up for this using Grand Sensei Kakashi : Katana/Regen Scrapper

Pencil me in for the yellow team

If im about i may come along depends on if we have I11 by then.

I'm taling about defense here, and is something I would always consider regardless how much of an impact it has.

Well, that's your personal decision..

Granite without teleport is only good for one thing: collecting dust in archeological museum .

Combat data/logs/screenshots of Hamidon raids. I remember several months ago, when I was looking for info on raiding and end-game content in CoH to help me decide what should I play while waiting on the 'next big MMO', seeing a bunch of screenshots and some discussion about damage on the US forums.
And that's because I wasn't sure what kind of damage/attacks are being used by Hami&co, if any, beside the unspecified one.
Speaking of combat logs, is there any, maybe just *slightly* more advanced way of logging data in CoH, other than spamming screenshots?

Since I have the impression you didn't spend much time reading and thinking about what I posted before hitting the reply button I'm gonna try again with a more global picture...
How can I contribute more? Acting as a piece of stone with taunt on auto while a good granite, specced for team tanking, is trying to dps the mitos, or should it be exectly the opposite?
It's not what an inv/ tank can or cannot do, it's about what I can do to make the team better. This coming from a guy who spent about 2 years of his 2.5+ year 'WoW career' raiding 20/40/25-man content, 4-7 days every week and typically 5+ hours per session. I'm not sure whether you are familiar with WoW raiding and how much more complex and strict it is compared to CoH, so I'll just say that you wouldn't get far by letting people play what and how they want ;p.

OK because Hamidons damage is "Untyped" any defence that relies on typed defence is useless. This is both Inv and Ice. I also think it has no possitional value so SRs will become sitting ducks too.

What you really want is the builds with the closest to having the increased hit points perma. Which could be any of the tanks except Fire (as there's no HP increase there) Sinergy X is pretty damned close on his Stone tank (have witnessed this) so despite his sets not giving him defence or resistance (which no one has) he'd actually be a good choice as he can take more damage and thus you have more time to heal him.

Ice is actually probably the best tank to use for Hami tanking . As most of the shields are 100% redundant against Hami, what you really need is a way to get massive +HP for a HP buffer and a panic button in case the empaths in your team die. Ice has both of these in the form of Hoarfrost (essentially the same as Dull Pain, gives a boost to the tanks HP) and Hibernate (phase shift except you get MASSIVE regeneration whilst Hibernating). While the tank cannot taunt Hamidon while he's phased, as long as nobody else is taunting him (and they shouldn't be unless they're dumb - in which case they deserve to die) he won't lose the aggro.

ps. having the tank team in the blob while there's nobody else in there will mean they WILL die. As soon as the turtle leaves the blob and moves out of aggro range, every single mito will start shooting at them. The only reason we were able to use this technique before was because we could use Phantom Army to take the mito aggro, but Hamidon and the mitochondria can kill them now.

Edit: I just remembered that Hamidon also damages people in phase shift, which I guess applies to Hibernate as well. Nonetheless, the regeneration boost is still more of a help compared with the other tanker tier 9 powers.
