Advice on a Energy/dark armour brute
*looks at build*
O.O
*faints*
If you are doing well with that build you certainly don't need my help.
If it has eyes, you can blind it, if it has blood, you can make it bleed, if it has a mouth, you can make it scream.

Accuracy is your friend
I really dont know where to start. Um, slot DA, with stuff.
Basically you want the 3 damage resisting shields to have 3 dam res and at least 1 end red in them. You probably want 1 accuracy in each attack, and also an end red. Dark Regen, your best power from the secondary. I slotted mine 1 acc, 1 heal, 2 endred, 2 recharge. It works wonders, it really does.
Um
Wow, yeah start with that.
"Well, they found my diary today.
They were appropriately appalled
at the discovery of the eight victims
They're now putting it all together.
Women wrapped in silk
with one leg missing
Eight legs, one body, silk,
spider, brilliant!"

i got a level 31 energy/dark armour i've had for a while, and i got all my moves slotted with damage Io's and most of my moves do +64% or more damage, and yet i feel i'm still not getting as much as i can. I've never had too many problems with stamina or getting beaten ingame, infact i think i'm doing pretty well. But if anyone more experiened that me notices i'm doing something drastically wrong, or if i can make my life easier, please give me some help!
By the way here are all my moves with their current slots. slots

Okay, lets start with accuracy. You want it, probarly 2 in each attack.
Next up is stamina, not sure if you had it or not? As a brute you depend on fury. The more you hit the more damage you do so downtime is to be frowned upon. You goal is to keep fighting non-stop all the way through a mission. So, you will need stamina.
Attacks, you have to many picked and to many slotted. Ussually you want a few basic ones you can use after each other so you always, or almost always, have one attack ready to use. Any more then that is a waste unless the are extreme slow heavy hitters. In your case you have slotted Jump kick and Brawl when you have other better attacks to use.
Your shields are [censored] unslotted. But slotted they are great, so slot them. Trust me. Standard slotting is 4 slots with EndRedux/Resist/Resist/Resist but if you have end issues got 2 EndRedux and 2 Resist. That includes Murky cloud wich you dont have.
Dark regenaration is probarly the best heal in the game. I would always put atleast 5 slots in that one myself, Acc/Acc/Recharge/Recharge/Heal is a good start.
Build up: Great power, put 3 Recharge in it if you want to slot it, 4 of anything in this game is generally i waste because of ED, enhancement diversification or something like that. Meaning that 4 of the same is in 99% of all cases a waste.
Making a real quick sample build i come up with this at level 32:

As you level up more you get more slots than powers, slotting Total Focus, stun, whirling hands (i would personally skip that attack all together) and maybe build up as slots come in.
If you need help in-game i am usually on every evening so feel free to send a /tell @Enkil
Thanks for making that build for me, i respec'd and tried to follow it as closely as possible, but it might be a while before i can afford al those accuracy SO's. Thanks anyway though, my ingame name is
Origin of Sin
Slot with whatever you can, don't hold out for IOs, I keep making that mistake. One decent piece of salvage sold can fill all your slots with DO's/SO's, no need to be miserly.
Are DO's and SO's better than IO's?
I like my 6 slots, 2 ACC/2DAM/2END-
All IO's.

SO's are better then DO's but IO's are better then SO's because they dont need replacing as you level
cool
DOs/SOs may not be better than IOs, but they're still better than nothing. That's worth remembering.
The advantage of SOs nowadays is that they're much, MUCH cheaper than IOs for only slightly less power. Their downside is they only work within certain level ranges, so you have to keep replenishing them every 5 levels or so. But still, a year ago we were all managing on SOs.
Teh Colours Would Look COOOOOOL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
