I would like to see a scrapper beat a decent troller, against a ill/kin, scrapper would need a BIG load of both bf´s and blues, and the scrapper prob wont get into melee range very often due to slow of siphon speed, fear, holds, getting end drained etc...even my kin/psy fender owns scrappers, only SR i have probs with

I think regens are cake in duels versus a decent troller tbh. Specially /rad or /kin and most stormies will own regens too.

Hmmm gohan you are wrong in this scenario tho.In a 10 min fight in arena a scrapper versus a troller especially a regen is pretty much toasted at some point since burning bf's is really easy with trollers especially illusion.
The only case the controller would need BF's imho is versus MA or maybe spines in case he has no CJ or a fear pool or a DM scrapper.The scrapper is at a disadvantage against a controller most times.Even with full tray of bf's

my troller is fully slotted with HOs (except super invis which has a set)
i have hasten siphon speed and never managed to hold the brute once a regen with bfs and his mez protection how many holds stacked would you need?

Oops, guess I misread that. Do you mean he used BFs too, on top of his mez protection?
I don't know how strong a BF is, but your hold is mag 3, and a brute has 10,4 mag resistance. It should take you 5 seconds to launch a hold, and 36,3 seconds duration on each... That makes 7 holds. So the BF protects from atleast 10,6. Guessing 15.
5 holds for a BF. 9 for a BF+brute mez resistance.
Did that make any sense? 
You can easily stack over Mez protection.
I've gone over Unyielding and Unstoppable on a Tank.
Seen a blaster holding a brute running granite + rooted. Nerf holds plx.

I'd also add a decent ice/nrg/cold blaster, those things in duels are pretty awesome.

ice/em blasters are awsome if they dont get held , but a good troller dom only needs to put 2 holds on , one to go over acro the other to hold and its all over from there

But if they are quick they can 2/3 shot said controller - and remember half the decent blasters will be stealthed

I think cold mastery has lost some of its allure now that you can aid self thru snow storm.. Damn, I have even aidselfed through rad debuffs on occasion.

You've always been able to do this. Cold mastery > all for duels, by a long way, imo.

I think that only when you reduce the interrupt time of the heal you can activate it through such things and all PvPers enhance this anyway no?

well i know i can hold tanks on my blaster (elec/elec/elec), never tried granite+rooted though. Having 3 holds to cycle through is a huge advantage though.

Gaes and vanguard with 3 slotted holds should be enough, with gaes and vanguard i can hold a tank with 2 poorly slotted holds.
