need a Dark Melee/Regen build advice/help

I took it early merely because there was simply nothing I wanted from either Regen OR DM at the time. Touch of Fear I was willing to wait for, Confront (not a tank), Siphon life (being /regen didn't feel the need to pick it up) and Dark Consumption I felt with stamina would be rendered moot anyway.

The main reason my attacks have been underslotted was because I've been focusing on getting my secondary primed first, normally I'm the first one to six slot attacks as quickly as possible (playing an MM means I'm pretty much use to six slotting primaries as quickly as possible).

I do plan to take FA at 41, currently I'm placing down the build in a way that it will hopefully not require respeccing at any point (seriously bad memories of the Tree of Thorns respec trial).

It is a valid point though, stamina probably wasn't required until later but DM was coming off to me as rather End heavy, so I took it as soon as possible.

Truth be told I probably will pick Hasten but leave it a little while before it's 3 slotted since I've now got to my attacks in order as both you and FireKitty have suggested.

You'll probably find that the End issue for DM was partly because the attacks weren't doing enough damage. Slotting some damage enhancements into Smite or Maul early on would have reduced the number of attacks needed to bring a foe down thus reducing the End expended during a fight. Those two slots in Fast Healing for example, might have served you better added to Smite for some extra damage.
Reconsider discarding Dark Consumption it will be super useful when you face Malta and especially Carnies.

I have been playing a DM/Regen, lots of fun. As the previous poster said, putting a couple of dmg in your main attacks would benefit you more early on than heal slots in the Regen side.

I am at level 38 now and I still havent slotted Dull Pain or reconstruction fully with heal enhancements; my priority was to get 3 recharges in there and then add heals later on, after putting the dmg in smite etc. This has worked out pretty well.

Also with stamina and quick recovery I have had no end probs so far, even with hasten running, and I have slotted attacks with a recharge for extra DPS.

The build looks good power wise but there are a few things I'd change:

1. The amount of heal enhs in health and fast healing, only put in 1-3, the 4th and 5th ones wont do much
2. Instant healing, 3 recharges ;D
3. Resilience, only 1 res needed here imo.
4. QR and stamina: again, only 3 endmods in them, 4th and 5th ones dont do much at all
5. 2 endreds are enough in assault and tactics imo
6. I'd slot both dull pain and reconstruction with 3heal &amp; 3rechred


Those are just my opinions. If you feel yours are better no need to listen to me at all ;D

Evis has a higher chance to Crit than most scrapper attacks. Katana and MA also have attacks in their sets with the increased chance (but none of the look as nice as Evis)

It's just a pain that on DM I do deal continuous low damage (he is @ lvl 30 now and a Sirens build), but eventually start worrying about my endurance because it seems that I don't get enough critical hits in.

I will try removing the to hit debuffs and replacing them with more damage, maybe that will sort out my problem

Ps: Evis is pretty cool looking, love that an Eagles Claw

I am slotted for damage on my DM and dont rely on crits. Claws does deal constantly high damage but DM has higher damage attacks in the set and a big buff in the form of Soul Drain. Once you have midnight grasp you'll probably see things improve as well (the sets work diferently IMO, DM takjes until 34 to mature but Claws matures at lower levels and its 32 power isn't as useful) DM is one of the highest damage primaries for a scrapper (thanks to Soul Drain) but claws is just so good and constant. DM does cost a lot of end compared to most scrapper sets. Is probably why it gets Dark Consumption. Touch Of Fear is the biggest drainer for me but the other powers do sometimes seem harsh. Touch Of Fear is all you need Tohit debuffs in though, one application of that is enough for all your needs and thus lets you go acc,dam,rech and end in the others

Yeah recharges work fine with Regen, have tohits in for my SR as well though, cause I'd rather use it less and save on end. But I cant see the point of tohits in anything other than ToF

Coming late to this thread...

My rough current build on LN... I say rough because while its where I plan on taking it and have some of the enhancements I don't play her an awful lot now so I'm not doing much more than channelling the odd drop in her direction. My other scrapper, controller and blaster currently have priority, especially the scrapper who is BS/Rgn so needs some of the same IOs.

Tried to use the sets to maximise my usage of slots, though that does bump the price up an awful lot, but being able to drop a slot from both IH and DP is good and means I can add full sets (or nearly) to some of my attacks. I generally only PvE on my scrappers so fly is fine, I have enough end to run fly all the time pretty much only switching it off in AV fights or if I need a specific position. Besides I find Ariel Superiority to be one of the best pool attacks, it does decent damage and with the knockdown has a good ability to cut the incoming damage to you. All mobs with the exception of AVs &amp; GMs (or anything using their code / or things that only fly like arachnos flyer) get knocked on their [censored] after one or two applications.

I dropped MoG years ago when it was still okay and haven't used it much until recently, however since the last change I will always take it as it is now a t9 power to use. 30s of Nigh invulnerability is definitely not to be sniffed at especially on a regen. With this I can leap into a mob take the alpha (not from AVs) and expect to survive. I would definailt advocate it be taken these days.

Pre IOs I generally slot 2x ACC 3x DMG and then one Recharge. For five slotted powers I drop the end redx. With CIOs I tend to slot the same way until 35+ (my level) then I often use 2x ACC, 2x DMG 1x Recharge (for five slots or add a recharge for six) this is mainly as by this point I mostly am starting to add sets to the powers.

With both Stamina and QR I find slotting FA with just 4 slots to be quite enough, though prior to IOs I would have recommended two End Rdx 2 to-hit buffs.

A note on the actual IO sets, because this is still what I'm planning I have just whacked in the requisite number rather than picking the exact IO (E.g. Crushing Impact which I want five of for the +5% recharge...). Except for Recon, DP &amp; IH which I have listed exactly what I have and want.

Cool...some nice builds to work from. Attempting to re-jig my BS/Regen to accomodate SIOs to it.
