New Content Spoiler Tag
Ever wanted to hide spoilers on your content pages? Well now you can. A new feature has been added to VirtueVerse and UnionVerse that will allow users to wrap parts of their pages in spoiler tags. That content will then be hidden unless the viewer clicks the button to view it.
You can see this in action on the VirtueVerse Getting Started page.
Usage:
Content that appears normally.

Edit: Ok, turns out the picture was 2kb over the limit. Did no one think to add a warning page saying 'This image is too big, please re-size' etc? Because that was seriously annoying...

No, because I was using one of my other Char-pic as a template to crop the screenshot off, and thus expected it to be the same size. Beforehand, 2KB didnt matter much or, at the worst, it at least came up with a pop-up saying 'This file is too big'.
Now it just fails to load as if it was something up with my net, computer or the 'Upload' button itself.
Having something explaining 'This wasnt uploaded because its too big' would have saved a lot of confusion and annoyance, is what I'm saying. 'cos I bet this won't be the last time it'll happen to anyone.

I am aware that there is no error screen right now if you try to upload something over the 151KB limit. Its on my mighty list of things to address/fix/update. But the issue comes down to this, the error is being thrown by the php server, mediawiki has no capacity to provide a true file over upload size limit error page. In fact it even seems the error message it use to show if you tried isn't in the newer versions of mediawiki or just plain doesn't work anymore. (Yes I do actually have this setting turned on)
My goal is to eventually get the error reporting in mediawiki itself to work and to get the setting just on the wiki's themselves so its not a server wide setting.
But I'm a little bit short on time lately thanks to moving and beginning year work insanity so I've only been able to do small things and maintenance bot stuff.

No worries, it might just be worth adding a 'Warning: Check your file is the right size before submitting! Failing to upload file may be caused by this!' or something a bit better worded to the upload page till it's fixed?

Unused Images
Just a heads up guys. I'll be purging all of the unused images on UnionVerse this weekend and will continue to do this on a monthly basis starting in February during the last weekend of the month.
If you upload images to UnionVerse please ensure you use them, the site is not meant to be your image hosting service. 
Union and VirtueVerse are currently both down for emergency maintenance.
Update
We got bit in the rear by a MySQL bug, its going to require me to restore the databases for both Union and Virtue. No worries though no data was lost, the sites are still intact! The issue lies not in the data itself but in a file that supports the data.
Unfortunately I can't just replace that file. I needed to stop the web servers to keep the load on the server low while I make backups and do what needs to happen to fix this issue.
I'm very sorry for the extended down time! You guys will have to go without your Union fix until later tonight or tomorrow.

MySQL is back up, and running properly, and the sites should be unlocked for editing in about an hour, I'm running some tests right now.
I'm sorry for the extended downtime, but I wanted to take my time and make sure this was done properly the first time to avoid larger issues down the line.
Lessons learned? Whoever designed InnoDB transaction processing needs to die in a fire.
Absolutely no data was lost, and I need everyone to be vigilante and report any errors to me that you experience. The first 48 hours are going to be critical in catching anything that might be amiss.

We'll be performing Maintenance on Union and Virtue verse this weekend. Maintenance will be performed to upgrade a few server services and will last for several hours. The site will be locked or unavailable for the duration of the maintenance. Start and end of the maintenance period will be announced on the VirtueVerse twitter account.
Target time for the maintenance will be later evening hours on Friday or Saturday.
