I wanted to show my 'artist's impression' of what the inside window layout will look like, but Chief Administrator Kadekawa demands it be kept secret until release. Hehe.

More updates!

The magazine and newspaper sections make a bold return. The articles are not crisp fresh but still make interesting reading.

In the news! (The Informer) Someone gave the spiders the slip and kidnapped Arbiter Coles. Read all about it!

In the magazines! (New Inquirer) A demon working in children's daycare. And she's got a name and a face too.

I have now been schooled in the ancient art of wiki-fu to update these sections. What I need is a link to the picture(s) of the article page(s) and the article in text format. Local PMs work mucho great!

Pious updated the banner to an older one.

More bang for your buck, new content to come when available. Stay tuned to this bat channel.

That's an old article! Been posted on the Wiki front page before!

I checked the previous entries. Are you sure you're not confusing this with the previous New Inquirer piece about Dee Dee Diablo?

Zeyna piece has been in Nightsparrow's scrapbook, which has been referred to in the "Union banter" thread.

I admit, either piece is not very new, and I seek to replace them with more current article when that becomes possible.

I possibly am, but it seems VERY familiar!

I've definately read the Demon in Day Care article before; and I don't read Nightsparrow's scrapbook...

It hasn't been on the front page of the wiki but it was posted on this forum in the Inquirer thread.

If you visit Tempest forums you may have seen the article as a stand-alone in Files and articles.

Other than that I'm out of feasible ideas.

Current visit count: 14,104. Divided by 92 days, approximately 153 visits per day. Should do this analysis monthly. On estimate, I'd guess August received 22% (2820 hits, 90 p/d) of the current total visits, September maybe 34% (4795, 159 p/d) and October with the remaining 44% (6205 hits, 207 p/d). Maybe someone whose been paying closer attention disagrees with this correlation.

Website is down temporarily as Kadekawa is working on the skin. Will be back up as soon as possible.

Everything should be operational now.

Equilibrium is available now, via preferences but the drop down menu will be delayed by a few days. Technical issues that we hope to get around soon. In the mean time, the affected links are provided at the bottom of the main page.

Thanks a lot you guys

The new skin, Equilibrium has now been finished and the drop down menu fully functional. There will be a week's notice, from today to give people a chance to learn that Equilibrium will shortly become the wiki's default appearance. This means office workers who would rather use the original "research website" looking skin, will need to manually select it as their preferred skin.

Updated features!

* Featured hero is Chaos Augury.
* Featured villain is Josie Ironside.
* Featured newspaper is 32 dead as Tsoo attacks Chiron (Paragon Times).
* Featured magazine is Warrior Seraphim - High Tech Angel (Off/Switch).

I made a layout judgment call that I need to discuss with Pious and Zortel, but of course feedback and opinions from everyone is appreciated. With the news and mag page pictures the text wrapped imho quite awfully around them on the main page so I removed the texts altogether. Then I altered the picture widths until their heights were equal so that featured hero and villain would start at the same vertical position.

This alters the previous concept of the main page slightly but improves the readability. Is this good? Is this bad? Is this somebody else's problem?

On the lists of previously featured heroes and villains I added the player names to make it easier to check who has been featured already. Good thing too, maybe that prevents goofups like I did two weeks back. I noticed that I had selected Joe Hill as featured hero even though MajorHealer had had Deepcut featured as a villain before that. My apologies.

The update arrives this time only on Monday morning largely due to it being a fathers' day in Finland yesterday and much of the day was spent with the zerglings. The target time for updates is still on Saturday evening / Sunday morning.

Now shoo, shoo, go see the new and improved Union Wiki with the newly featured contents and oggle at the spanking shiny Equilibrium skin!

Looking good

I've only just started taking more on an interest in this, and registered on the site the other day. There's certainly some excellent work on there.

Once I get around to working out how to do anything on the site, then I'll add a few articles myself (I've never used Wiki before!).

I find it regretable that the catagories are dropped to the bottom.

Yeah, I agree. They really should be at the top, just under the banner.

I'd prefer them in a menu on the left but certainly not under the banner.

I previewed the Equilibrium skin and, can come from my screen, but links in light blue over white background are not exactly super readable.

If I gathered the plan right, and I may not have, the categories on the bottom of the main page will vanish. They were there only so that we could use them while the dropdown menus did not yet work. They work now.

If I misunderstood the plan, or the question/criticism, I apologize.

That's fine if you're going to use the new skin, but I'm using the default MonoBook skin, and will continue too as I need minimal graphics at work. For me, all the categories are now at the very bottom of the page; they used to be at the top.
