afaik the change is going to come with i11 and will be tested within the beta.I must say i would love to see what kind of radical change this was.Also if the dmg buff thingy is radically changed i must say i ll be deleting a level 42 AR/dev blaster which was a purely defiance based toon since there will be no point to it unless AR gets some significant lovin. I aint moaning dont get me wrong but i ll be sad to see the little bugger Defiance was go....

Bingo, AR and Archery had serious problems with defiance - nrg in lesser degree but the other sets are pretty fast casting, AR/dev as worst due no single form of BU/aim.

Oh well, for me it will only get better, as i never have used (or benefit) from defiance without faceplanting seconds later or even before i could act. Specialy with RWZ and the stupid ammount of sleep/hold/KD/stun and no mezz-resist is plain stupid.

But if its 'radical', i asume it wont be 'damage taken' wise anymore or any form of hitpoint related.

Great.I hope radical means they make Defiance work with a clicky like domination and i can then turn it to perma through my sets.That would make my fire/energy PvP blaster run around with cappped damage and full health

Would be really nice to do some defiance level damage on my Archery/Dev cause I took a break from it yesterday and took to street sweeping in PI with the Ice/Fire. Firesword and Bitter Ice Blast are stupid on full defiance, and Fire Sword Circle becomes a mine nuke. Best I've had with the Archery one was once getting off a fairly nice Fistfull Of Arrows, but it still was nowhere near my firesword circle

Good point there, hopefully the 'new' defiance will make all sets benefit from this. As i see all other inherents, they benefit at any set. Some perhaps abit slower or bitty less, but not as much as defiance does to blasters.

I go for a domination-style clicky Hopefully with a recharge/end-recov form

Defenders venguance (or how it was spelled) is underrated and often not needed. However me as empath had quite a bunch of times my end was running dry while team-hp bars were going red. Me as empath had several times great use of it, specialy in smaller teams with no tank your end can run dry quite fast. However with sets like sonic or FF and specialy low-end TA, it became somewhat useless.

I like it when people MoG I can then fight while using SS withough any trouble. I've yet to find another use for it really.

well...

to me, defiance drops a little too fast...

and ice as an issue withe the death of the caster... to me..

it's always enerving when casting a blizzard with full dfiance, you get a 1 hit that kills you and stops your nova, as energy or fire, or whatever just land theirs, and dont mind dying after

I never Blizzard in LoS myself, cause if I have Defiance FSC is as good as a nuke, so why waste my end?

because i always happen to have a small blue insp, ang go for hibernate ^^

well... always' not true... should say most of the time.

but the thing is, in big groups which attack with AoE, i can get killed even if the tank taunt.

A lot of that comes down to possitioning. Make sure you're the other side of the mobs to the tank, then the cones will focus on him and you'll be out of most AoEs

Sorry blasting is new to me, I'm too used to defending......... run in before the tank, use blazing aura to gather the agro then let one Fire Sword Circle kill them all mwhahahahahahahaha

Many ranged blasters do that pretty good, problem often occurs on the 'i melee wack' blasters

Hey Castle, everyone.

I have a small suggestion, about adding synergy to Defiance through an Epic Pool, from the scrapper's regen pool.

41 - Quick Recovery
41 - Fast Healing
44 - Resilience
47 - Moment of Glory

Now, the key points here are resilience (which adds minor resistances and a little stun protection, which in the later levels I feel blasters could really use) and MoG (which, while somewhat lackluster for scrappers, would work wonders on blasters because of defiance).

Maybe a little *too* out there Anyway, I'm eager to hear what's being tested regarding defiance.

Well, for starters, the level cap in the zones (25 for BB, 33 for SC and 38 for WB), since these are epic pool powers that only come after lvl 47 (for MoG)

Still, I know what you mean, it's a bit of a crazy idea.

MoG Style wouldnt be that bad tbh, we already have hibernate and FoN. However RotP is funny and EMP is a laugh.
