Deceive/Confuse on Nemesis

I haven't had time to test this yet, but I was playing my SR Scrapper this morning and got my [censored] kicked cuz of their stacked vengeance. That got me thinking: if I go with my Illusion troller and deceive the Lieus and then kill one of them, will the Vengeance be used on me and my team?

Cheers.

As far as i know, CoT Mind Mages use Vengeance on you. But never been able to see a Nemesis yet. o_O

Also i heard Tsoo sorcerers are likely to heal you but when i use confuse they tend to TP and dissappear. So i guess it is random to confused enemies use such buffs on you. Only 100% success for buffs is shield droids of the Skyraiders. Umm if your team-mates don't kill them first of course.

deceive can be used as such, but i'm not sure of the succes rate

IIRC Nems have protection to certain status effects, fear's one and I thought confuse was the other. They can be feared but takes more than other foes, so I'd assume the same with confuse.

Is whether Vengeance is created as a pet on death or by the nem you kill that would let you know if it was doable

"Well, they found my diary today.
They were appropriately appalled
at the discovery of the eight victims
They're now putting it all together.
Women wrapped in silk
with one leg missing
Eight legs, one body, silk,
spider, brilliant!"

[/ QUOTE ]Nemesis lieutenants are the only foe type that use vengeance. Is by mind mages you mean Madness Mages, they use fortitude.

[/ QUOTE ]Correct, Nemesis have protection against fear and confuse, to reflect their training.

You are correct about the Tsoo sorcerers. They *can* heal you when deceived but it does seem to be rather random when they do so.

Yep Max, it is Madness Mages, and as i said i can't really noticed it for two reason, first only one of the nearly 20 or so Madness Mage use a buff on me, secondly i was busy to stay alive and i still confuse that ambulance effect between two powers. ^_^

Nems need stacked Deceive / Confuse for it to take effect. Two applications vs Mins & Lieuts I think.

And the best reason to confuse Tsoo Sorcerers is to stop em healing their allies rather than start healing you and to reverse their annoying Hurricanes.

Indeed all nem need double application of fear and confuse.

That vengeance thing is seriously borked. Confused mobs should casts buf on you and not on their fellow baddies when killed, but the confused Lts still cast vengeance on their friends instead of -logically expected- buffing you (and your team mates).

As for that matter confused mobs use buffs on you randomly and not that often. Many times those buffers just stand there and give their mates a smack or 2. They use their buffs a lot less on you then on their homies... (*"Gimme some of those bubbles and AM you fricking rikti guardian!!")

[/ QUOTE ]It's quite logical, actually. The buff is applied after the LT dies, and thus they're no longer confused at that point.

They're not dead-confused then?

Theoretically anything can be confused and any status effects applied to you from a mob under the effects of confusion.

Hmmm, got a point there ... in some sort of way. But, but they are dead! Still it sucks.
