why does it matter who is runnign it as long as u have soem experience in it as the dude does, we can make it succesful
I've only ever been on Xanthus run raids, was always just out of reach when Xiro and ? were running them.

It would be good to do some Hami raids before Issue 8 comes out in case there are issues with stability or performance once it is released, which has usually been the case to some degree after a major release.
There are good guides that people can read if they want before the raid to familarise themselves with the appraoch and the whole community is getting bigger and more experienced and therefore more 45+ toons around.
The actual approach can be summarised in about 4 steps:-
1) The Ilusion teams drop Phantom Army near Hami to take the aggro.
2) Everyone else targets through or at least attacks the same mito as the targetting tank.
3) Everyone the clocks 1 hit (regardless of how small the damage) on Hami to register damage to get a Hami-o if we are successful.
4) The controllers stay and use hold attacks (not immobilise) to bring down Hami. No spam heals at this point and gravity pets only.
The guides flesh out the details and why this approach works etc, but that is basically it.
I was thinking whether there could be 2 raids on consecutive days, like a Sunday and Monday, in case people could not 1 day. I don't know if this would just dilute the attendance below the amount needed to clear the mitos and hold Hami, or whether he will even respawn in time.

I have been there on Xan's raids and I know how they run compared to the way it was done originally. 
So the jelly will fall. 
Originally the raids were on a monday night, but will change it to suit when the most people can be there.

I'd be up for joining a Hami raid as I've never done one before. Promise to be good and listen to instructions too

Same as at the last couple of raids - unresponsive at range. With a little prep time by the Illusionists to get the positioning right it should be possible to get ample cover.

The only advice I can give to anyone wanting to run a hami raid.... keep your head. There will ALWAYS be utter divs on broadcast, on the request channel, dragging GM's, aggroing other mitos, targeting hami, running into the bubble in containment phase to "hav a lokk", switching to a heavy aura/cape cossie, questioning your tactics, complaining about the length of time to hold, refusing to stop healing when asked, dropping pets that aren't helping anything, firing off fulcrum shift for the fun of it... you get the picture. Xan manages to keep a level head through all of that and more, somehow, and if he didn't we'd all come away with a bit of a bitter taste in our mouths. Don't bite back!
Edit: As far as any raid itself goes, if I can make it (and sunday evenings are always BIG ifs) I'll volunteer to be the kinetics def spreading joy and amphetamines among the PA droppers, it was fun last time. You all look like ants from up there, you know.

People need to remember it doesnt matter who organise the raid. Hamidon raids are not for the HO's is more like a server wide event that community gets together and has fun. (except the leaders of the raid lol...). Xanthus goes back to uni and as soon as he is sorted out he will keep doing the raids i am pretty sure. In mean time people wanna do a raid so it can be done to have some fun, Hami is not some low spawn rate.
Anyway what needs to be paid attention to is who bring the beer and the snacks to the raids (i bring the cheerleaders but stay away from em they all mine mine mineeeeeeee)

Another "useless" scrapper reporting in! The mito clearing phase is where we earn our keep, that and telling jokes when the hold phase has begun (and invariably clearing up any GM's that get in the way).

How about those that are interested gather at the Eden entrance to Hami next Sunday at 8pm (I think tonight is not enough notice) to see how many people are up fo this and if it looks like we have the numbers just go for it?
If there are not enough we can leave it and try again another time. Nothing tried is nothing gained.
It would be interesting to gauge interest especially from those that have not yet done a raid and it is no hardship to log on 5 or 10 minutes to 8pm and head over to the far side of Eden.
