please descibe smoke grenade and blinding powder
anybody? I am not sure if I should take them or not.
I suggest you copy your character to the test server and try it there.
I really should do something about this signature.
cant be bothered. was hoping someone could just give me the info.
I not had a ninjitsu stalker so cant comment on a lot of their powers but i can say from playing a squishy on the hero side that blinding powder is awesome in pvp due to the sleep aspect, very annoying
number are 3 slotted with recharge 61 seconds. with hasten 45 seconds
**Acceptable "support" responses**
Its your fault
Its your computers fault
Its your ISPs fault
I'd say smoke grenade can be useful in PvP but there's probably better things to take as most players have a form of +PER.
In PvE, not too sure as i'm pretty sure as I think they can see through it the second you attack them anyway(kind of liek with stealth where as soon as the mob is attacked, it loses it's effect).
Blinding Powder is good but ninjitsu stalkers are pretty tight builds to fit it in on.
Nin set is a tight set indeed but i have managed to fit in my build. Blinding Powder is a good PvR/PvP power its -Perception -Acc and plus the Confuse doesnt need stacking on foes in PvP or PvE its works on first hit the sleep is good for bring down and nasty bubblers i like the power but other might not..
This power really does need slotted well tho so if you have no spare slots no worth the power i have it 6 slotted 3 Acc 3 Recharge
Played a Ninjitsu Stalker at lvl 40 during the RV event, and was rather disappointed.
I agree with most others here, Blinding Poweder can be good, and is probably worth a power-pick eventually.
Smoke Flash / Bomb / whatever its called was a huge disappointment. I was expecting an AoE Placate. Which it is. What I wasn't expecting is the ridiculously small area of effect it actually has. Seemed inaccurate too.
Overall, if I actually roll a Stalker it some stage, it'll now probably not be a */Ninjitsu one now, more likely Energy Aura.
Thanks for the replies, although smoke flash looks like a potentially great power which just screams NINJA!, I will probably skip it. Blinding powder however seems like a winner.
I suppose you get the critical hits off the sleeping enemies too?
Thanks again for the replies.

Exactly what I thought ... until I had a go with it ...
And yes, there should be a chance for a Critical on Sleeping foes.
I've played with both flash smoke and blinding powder and thought the were to situational for my likeing and with /nin being so tight desided on other options.
For PVE they would both have there merits.

This is something I wrote several days ago and found that my account was deactivated and I couldn't post. I know it's been answered but I want to post it anyway because I held onto it :P
"Smoke bomb placates all around you but does not make you go back into hide like placate does (doesn't let you use AS straight after) the animation time is awful and looks crappy. The area of effect is very small. Blinding powder probably needs some duration additions since sleep and confuse do not last very long, when they hit (which they don't very often - needs acc slotting too). The cone is quite large though - a decent pvp power but I skipped it in my stalker."
Afaik in blinding powder the confuse chance is 50% and cannot be enhanced. smoke flash is 8 sec placate against critters and 6 second placate against players according to prima guide. Blinding powder confuse should last 20 seconds unslotted (when it hits).
Both dont seem good enough, i have skipped them with my pvp stalker because the ninjitsu build is quite tight enough.

[/ QUOTE ]20% chance to crit on slept and held foes.
Blinding Powder: Animation is like that of throwing Caltrops on the ground.
Can sleep, confuse and lower targets accuracy. So in PvP it can work well given you can sleep and/or confuse them, as well as lower accuracy.

as well as lower accuracy.

Plus its a -Perception which is what you need with so much perception in the world of heros!
please describe the animations, the speed/recharge, their relative usefulness in PVE, and whether or not you recommend taking them.
Thanks
