I have telekinesis on my Mind/TA controller. I really like it.

Why is it that I'v hardly ever seen it in game apart from when I'm playing? Is it because Mind controllers are rare or is it because it is a fiddly power to use?

Mind is rare, and TK takes lots of practise to master.

Well i didnt find a good use for it yet. Especially as Mind/TA. When you have EMP and Total Domination. The pushback can be very annoying and 1.5 Energy i mostly cant spare in an exhausting battle. Though, could think there is a good use for it.

I have it on 4 characters (2 heroes, 2 villains). You don't see mind all that often and even when you do, it has so many other great tricks it (TK) isn't always the best thing to use.

Annoys the crap out of people in PvP though.

When you have teleporting enemies like Tsoo sorcerors, it rocks. Situational & suffers from the 'anchor always gets killed first' syndrome.

TK is really difficult to use properly on a generic team mission, but it still has its uses. An autohit AoE hold cant be that bad, can it? I got it on my dominator.. Well, in PvE its still mainly as either a panic button or something to help stacking holds on a boss. Still one of the cooler powers in the game.

Its one of the awesome 3 powers on pvp team matches the other 2 are containment field and sonic cages and they are all absoulutely brillant powers than can change the tide of a pvp match. Funny enough you dont see mobs use these powers except for the wisps in the shadow shard (grr annoying detention field :P)

I find that the only time I ever run out of endurance is when I use it and that takes an entire battle.

I tend to use it whenever I see a suitable corner to push the enemies to.I haven't got total domination or EMP arrow yet.

I got smacked by a detention field by some council very recently. I think it is new, as I can't ever remember it happening before...

Back in the day when there was no limit on AoEs TK was superb, now its situational at best in PvE. In PvP its still quite good.

Would be quite nasty if someone was evil enough to have at both TK and Detention field in a PVP fight. Thank god there are no people like that around

I didnt say I dont see any use for it, i just said, i prefer other Powers for the hard Road through the Portal Corp Missions... Ill pick it up again at 49. 3 slotted should realy be enough for Telekinesis.

I actually have one more question. I suppose TK only affects a limited number of mobs (just as any other AE). Is it the usual 16 as other AE powers from the set?

Oh, didn't realise that. I thought people escaped it because they left the radius. I'll have to test it next time I play. nofuture.org.uk says it affects 5 too.

It didnt use to be capped at 5. Prior to issue 5 (i think?) there was no AoE cap on it...thus making it silly overpowered....ah how I miss those days

Thinking about it, I am fairly sure it has hit more than 5. I have to do some testing. Somewhere safe like Perez Park would probably be best.

But be aware of it that the Repel and the Hold may have different number caps. So while 10 Mobs might hover away only 5 might be held.

It can be used to throw enemies off of cliffs if you get the angle and timing right. It's a very cool pwoer to use if it is a end heavy power.
