Iv heard lots about fire/kins and how fun they are, are they really as fun as they are put across and if so how are they so fun Thanks

They're the damage monsters post level 38 when you get Fulcrum Shift. Controllers inherent Containment Power & Fulcrum Shift is nasty. Especially when you get Fireball availble at 41. Plus Fulcrum Shifted Fire Imps are vicious as I discovered teamed with an SG Kinetics during the week.

Before that I'm not sure really. Kinetics is a late bloomer and has no defenses really. You've a great heal to keep you running but not much else.

For a nasty early build try Fire/Rad.

got to agree / kin is the dogs k*bs

but remember / rad has the debuffs wich is very handy against the AVs/ GMs

Fire/Kin for the win rhymes. RHYMES. You can't go wrong with poetry. It's an uber powerset choice. Seriously. The imps chew up anything FAST with FS. It's just insane. Best AoE damage dealer I know, that's with the 3 ST imps along Just SB+FS them, and control, and the mob will be down quick without a fight

lol ill/kin is best i find but dats coz my main was ill/kin n i loved it kin u dnt need a travel power u have 2 bult in siphon speed gives u a lower version of ss but it is very quick and IR is a very good version of super jump if slottd correctly lol

Yes, but fire/kinetics has buffable pets, unlike Phantom Army. And Phantasm sucks compared to them. Anyway, with a good FS, all minions and lieuts go down in the same time: Seconds.

Fire/kin is indeed pure PvE ownage in the late game. Fire has more hard control tools to set up group containment, has more damaging pets, and has Hot Feet for passive PBAoE damage which works nicely with Fulcrum. Illusion has other great tools such as decoys, deceive and fear, but I haven't seen anything rack up xp/min like a fire/kin.

Captain Solaris and myself have just started a pair of Fire/Kin Controllers......
.......to lvl9 in just a couple of hours......dropping great groups of same level / +1's / and Luits in seconds......

Hands down, the most [censored] fun i've had with an AT ever!

I recommend Fire/Kin to everyone

DO NOT MAKE FIRE/KINETIC CONTROLLERS!!

*flashbacks to issue3 when Paragon City became overrun with Fire/Fire Tankers all over the place*

Not that i'm trying to deter you from making a Fire/Kin *snigger* but...

...you'll find you'll just have too much to do with Kinetics...being a Kin defender is bad enough, but to control and defend too...Just too much hard work.

Speed Boost doesn't last long enough, meaning you're constantly having to buff each and every individual team mate &amp; pet within the mission. Other buffs like Siphon Power and Increase Density don't last long enough. Likewise with SB, ID you'll need to buff all in your team individually also

In the early lvls you're gonna find that Fire control and have to buff your mates is a labour on your endurance and have to wait until at least lvl20 for Stamina, then transference is ages away also at lvl35 for Transference and even that takes a while to recharge itself.

Oh and the accuracy on Fire Control...please! Don't get me started with that!

And more importantly, the dirt you collect with fire controll is just not worth the set at all...think of your laundry bills..ooof, will be sky high.

So please reconsider Fire/Kin...as its horrible and you won't like it!

Somehow I doubt that .

As you can see Healer, the opinions differ somewhat on Hot Feet. I'm more of a I4 controller (not a word from you Otkon, not a word ) and I can see I don't need it after fire ball. Some think they still do, ymmw .

Would agree that Hot Feet isn't essential in the latter lvls of your fire controller.

That said, I guess the effectiveness of the power depends on your situation and teams.

With both Blizz and my fire controller having Hot Feet, we're capable of decimating whole mobs without much danger to ourselves and has got us from lvl8-10 in less than 2 hours whilst duo'ing.

Not essential, but certainly helpful, especially since you will have Fulcrum by then. I read on a US post (clicky) that (according to HeroStats) a fire/kin was still getting around 40% of his DPS from Hot Feet in the late game (not counting Imps). Haven't checked it myself, but if it's true, HF is more than helpful I would say .
