best corruptor build ?
There is none.
There's really no "best" build of any AT.
Instead, think about what you'd like to be able to do. The various Corruptor powersets are quite different from one another. Do you want to be able to team well, or do you prefer to solo? Maybe a bit of both? Do you want to focus more on doing damage, or on buffing/debuffing/healing? Some sets will even give you a little control if you enjoy that.
"Best" is entirely subjective. Different corruptor builds are good at different things. For example, my Dark/Dark corr is brilliant at protecting the team from damage, but she's not that hot a hurting things. While a, say, fire/kinetic corruptor has incredible damage output, but might be a little lacking in the defesnive side of things...
It's pretty hard to create a 'broken' character in CoV, and most types have pro's and con's. If you're going to solo a lot, I'd avoid the buff-heavy powersets though, since you can't use those powers on yourself.
You might want to try a few things out... i tried a Fire/Rad corruptor first and found out i hate standing toe-to-toe with the mobs, and Fire/Rad has no way to keep distance... so I fell in love with Ice/Dark, which has a bit of everything - decent damage and heals, but it can also be played like a semi-Dominator with the holds from ice, tar-patch and fearsome stare.
If you give some indication of your playstyle I'm sure people will come up with a few suggestions
There is one but you have to think of the TEAM as a whole, here is mine:

Brute: Dark Melee/Stone Armour - DM is awesome in PvE, awesome in PvP 'nuff said, the heroes will 'fear you' :P. Stone - the roughest, toughest there is - what can hurt a mountain? nothing. What can a mountain hurt? nothing. What can move a mountain? nothing. says it all.
Corruptor: Assault Rifle/Traps - ever seen what FULL AUTO does to a Granite Tank? That you should see, what Full Auto does to a Granite Tank you should see; the thing shreds heroes. Traps - one word: Time Bomb. What is good in PvE becomes awesome in PvP, Traps is worth it for this one power.
Dominator: Gravity/Psionic - damage all the way. Your team manages to corner a difficult controller? slap on Dimension Shift - "game over dude" a good one for high damage teams. Psionic - Drain Psyche - fighting a Granite Tank again? if they've got no Endurance, they've got no toggles, it's like an 'I win' button for villains.
Mastermind: Necromancy/Traps - 'you cannot kill what does not truly live' good one if you like to stay at range. Traps - two words: Force Field Generator - possibly the best Mezz buff for villains in the game, especially if you have superspeed as a travel power.
Stalker: Ninja Blade/Regen - Ninja Blade was probably optimised for PvP and if you play with a Ninja Mastermind you can disguise yourself as a henchman - deception is your cheapest toggle :P. Regen - yes it's overpowered, yes you'll get complaints for using it from Heroes, but there's a reason it rules in PvP: head and shoulders above the other secondaries.

Yeah, /rad and /kin are both great sets if you don´t mind fighting toe to toe with you enemies (with /kin being my absolute favourite set). Later in the game you will find that it´s the enemies who don´t want to go toe to toe anymore...
If you want to go the safer (i.e. more distant) route you can pick any of the other sets that might fit your concept. I think /thermal and /sonic are both quite nice in teams while /dark helps you in any situation.
If it has eyes, you can blind it, if it has blood, you can make it bleed, if it has a mouth, you can make it scream.
My Rad/Rad corruptor is doing very well, and the -regen debuffs are vital for taking down most Scrappers in PvP, and Archvillains (until that fix for obscene regen rate goes live). Plus it has eye beams. EYE BEAMS! What's not cool about that.

Damn that team needs nerfage, wouldn't want to meet that team
This is really the best build for corruptors. It has the best burst damage available and the best support. Everyone wants to get you on the team ASAP. Having many melee attacks is really good for a squishy character, because blasters have some too!!
The build is below:

This build has no single flaw and I will be guarantee that you will just own EBs, no doubt.
(Stamina is not needed, you will kill things too fast.)
I'm sorry, but any build that doesn't have howling twilight slotted for damage is not uber enough for this guy
Great build . . . do I have to pay to use it?
