Opinions on claws/regen scrappers
Perfect.
Claws - Low End Cost.
Regeneration - Puts End Up.
STILL consider getting Stamina.
They're both.. good sets.
Good luck!
Claws/Regen: the best choice you could ever make.
Claws/Regen: great fun .

Shameless advertising..
tho..claws is a good set cause of the combined range+melee...the end costs are very small 2 so you won't have 2 much trouble keeping your end up (I believe they get even less in i7)..still..the damage aint to high and its pure lethal..if you want a med damage/high damage set I would rather go for DM..if you wanna go for a fast pased set go for claws..both worth a try...don't lissen to the claws suck trashtalk since its a good set just like any other
It lets me be the best at what I do.
wow, I have good taste, thank you for all your opinions guys, I'm sticking with it, I'll post my build later on.

after spine/regen but that's another history
You are wrong!
If you don't like doing a lot of damage outfront claws are for you

He is right!
Edit: Actually, they're both a lil alike, so - you're both wrong
Played one during the RV event, and damn claws rocks. Perma follow up is just awesome. There was very low burst damage from the set as to be expected but the recharge rates of the attacks is just great, could just keep going and going and going until the opponent was dead.
Claws ftw.
I love my Claws scrappers (and my Claws stalker) mainly due to the relativly low End cost of the attacks. My Claws/Regen toon is only lvl 8 so can't say i've got much to say about the Regen side of things, but my main (Claws/Invuln) is a whole bundle of joy to play, with a ranged knockdown attack for his opening attack he can keep most enemies flat on their backs for an entire fight, (just slip Air Sup in your chain and you'll giggle like a child for hours as you watch boss mobs spend half the fight getting up and the rest getting smacked right back down again) and the AoE attacks are real handy for clearing the random mobs out of the way leaving you with a clear shot at the real targets, those big bad bosses right in the middle of a crowd.
Fast recharges and low end costs mean you'll have some seriously nimble fingers and a huge grin for the duration. Enjoy
I rolled one of these luvlies last week and am now at lvl 8 and no problems with end so far. Some one mentioned earlier in the thread Stamina still needed. Is it?
I was hopeing to be able to by-pass the Health pool for a change.
You can get by without it but it still makes life a lot easier.
Just roll a broadsword scrapper and you don't have to giggle while you stand and knockback the boss forever. You can just kill him in a few shots instead.
claws pros: range, low endurance requirements (mainly after i7), quick recharge
Claws cons: it's the scrapper set that deals less dmg, which imo makes others better in practise. If u want range/melee combos i'd go spines. If u want to feel like u can tear foes apart in one blow i'd go bs

Claws also has +50% self damage power that can be permaed.. Personally I see spines as the one dealing less damage. I really don't understand where all this prejudice comes from
Afaik, spines attacks in comparison have the lethal damage element EXACTLY the same as claws equivalent attacks, but in addition spines has the toxic DoT. And thats all. Does the DoT really make that much difference?
If you take away the DoT, impale does same damage as focus, ripper does same damage as eviscerate, etc. And both sets do lethal damage. Am I correct?
Advantage of Spines is the added slow component to its attacks. All Scrapper Primaries have an added benefit.
Spines. Slow component on most (all?) attacks.
Claws. Speed of attack and low end use. (Even better now with i7)
Dark Melee. Debuffs accuracy, and has some good control, specifically an Immob: Midnight Grasp and a Fear: Touch of Fear.
Martial Arts. Stuns and Knock backs
Katana.... actually have no idea.
Broadsword. Just a huge amount of damage.
I've played Claws, DM and BS quite a lot and love all three. I love the idea of spines but hate the looks. MA I just don't like and I don't see the need of both a BS and a Katana (for me not in general).
Most Katana attacks cause -defence, one raises your own defence and most attacks are acceptably fast. One cone and one PB AoE attack, no ranged attacks at all. IMO it's a very nice 'middling' scrapper set that doesn't really excel at anything, but has no glaring weaknesses either.
spines: can lower the dps of other sets to the point where the spines dps gets better, very useful tools, -rechg affects heals too lowering survivability of opponents. Great versus multiple targets.
claws: the best longterm dps but with no real high burst dps to seize the day, follow up buffs damage output but the buff scales to however many damage slots are in an attack ie no damage slots 40% increase in damage, 3 damage slots 19% increase in damage iirc. Especially great dps versus multiple targets.

Definately go for stamina as you will spend more time fighting etc.. than resting. Quite boring at times waiting for tankers and the rest to rest after battles for endurance recovery.
Only draw back I can currently see with claws/regen is MoG, but that may be as not entirely sure when best to use it and against what villians. Apart form that, claws/regen definately rocks... my main char and still the best
Main 50 & Badger Nine Claws Claws/Regen/Body
Other 50's Ph10x Brute Unjust Law Tanker Samantha Urai Scrapper Codename 1250 Scrapper
Cepheus Defender Nilus Scrapper Electro Field Blaster S.PONGE Tanker
My main character is a claw/regen, when i was around lev 30 i diliked my claws because i saw BS,MA and katana scrappers getting high damage hits with build up.
now that im 50 and pvp alot, i can see the real qualities of having claws, we may lack that 2 shotting squishies capability, but we can have a very fast knockup attack and we can deal decent damage in longer battles.
you can have 5 attacks and have a solid damaging attack chain without gaps meaning you have more powers to spare.
i didnt pick shockwave spin or swipe in my chain. as i have the 3 most damaging attacks in the set and they usally recharge within a few seconds of using them, so why then would i use the weaker attacks.
having a ranged attack is a benefit often over looked, i cant even begin to imagine life without it now.
follow up is decent but i feel u cant reali get its full potential by making it perma in pvp, because if you are relying on its acc buff then u should 3 slot it with acc and tohit which means it aint gona be perma. for you other scrappers imagine fighting without your build up...or having to be able to hit your foe 1st before gettin your tohitt buff, it can be a real pain.
in pve u can defeat most minions in 3 attacks, only downside is when you come to those +4 bosses and your seperated from your team. this is why i would only ever pick claws with regen coz it has the survivability to allow you to actually stay in a fight longer to get that prolonged damage that claws have. were as with SR you wouldnt wana be standin toe to toe with a +4 boss for that long
in pvp jus watch out for brutes , coz we no it takes longer for claws to inflict damage...but we also no you dont wana be standin toe to toe with brutes for long periods of time. so it will require you to out think your foe rather than over power him.
and now i think iv gone on long enough

ZOMG PREJUDICE! Claws/SR ftw!
My Claws/SR scrapper could easily handle the majority of +3 bosses on his own, no buffs (I solo alot), pre-i7, and after having some PI fun on test @ level 39, I was herding +5 Rikti (including bosses, and +7s & +8s with Elude up) with little or no problem, so quit teh prejudice, /SR is damned good, you just have to know how to use it
P.S. Aid Self ftw btw

"You should come inside the box... Then you'll know what I mean."
i rekon u missed the point entirely, even if you say my facts are in accurate, which they very well could be. the point was that with claws it takes longer to deal large amounts of damage as it takes multiple attacsk to do so, do you clain to have the same rate of survival as a regen?? i merely said i feel its better with regen as the have the end and survivability to be in combat longer i dont see the "ZOMG PREJUDICE! " in that
infact using claws with SR would give your attacks great recharge rates..but i REKON (as in my opinion is) in pvp a katana wielder would have you under alot of pressure.

Hi all, jsut wondering I enroled a scrapper the other day and I picked claws and regeneration for the starting power pools, but I wanted you opinions first before actually making an effort on this character. So what do you; "the people" think of claws and regeneration?
