See, the team exists as long as one member is willing to continue it.

So, whats this all about?

Hi Atrum. The Militia is an SG of roleplayers who gather on Thursdays to do a couple of hours of in-character gaming (hunting, missions etc) on the Union server. We've been going for about a month now so we're still fairly recently established. If you want to get more of a flavour of the in-character stuff you should have a read of "The Militia" thread under roleplayer which is mainly all written in-character.

I may not be able to make tommorow due to about-to-on-holiday commitmenets

I will def be away the week after due to on-holiday commitments

May catch you tommorow otherwise see ya in 2 weeks!

May I make a few suggestions based on observations:

1. Just crack on with forming teams fairly quickly, I don't think its possible to form teams in advance. I suggest we turn up and form them in an organic process depending on who arrives / leaves at what time. Id suggest splitting available def/controllers between two teams.

2. Hunting is pretty boring for me, and I dont think many people like it. Aside from the fact that its less xp (no mission complete bonus) and twice the debt, I think missions lend themselves to rp much better. Id suggest the best thing to do is play one toons missions sequentially as that leads to more of a story.

Just my observations but I think we need to get things moving and flowing better in order to keep everyone enjoying the meet ups.

Enjoy!

I second both those suggestions.

I agree with said suggestions

Thirded you might say.

Is it possible to forth a suggestion? Anyway, I agree, I think mission arcs are the way to go, especially if they tie in with character progression. For example, I'm trying to get some missions to so with the Lost as they may be implicated in Amber's missing father etc...

I think we should be fairly strict on time though just so we don't waste it all chatting (although of course, that is fun too). So I reckon we should look to start fighting from 19:30 - 19:45. If someone turns up late, we either add them to an existing team or regroup and split into smaller teams. I hope that sounds ok to everyone.

On another note, I've noticed a few people who are having to leave to team (you will be missed!) so should we look to recruiting more? There are often posts in the Roleplay section from people looking for RP SGs, do we want to extend a friendly invitation or do we have enough people already? Thoughts on the matter duly invited.

And lest I forget, yes, I will be there tomorrow so I'll see you all then. Looking forward to it.

Hello All

Well I'm afraid the time has come for me to say goodbye. I have no doubt that I'll be back to COH in the future but at the moment it really isn't possible. It's been great meeting such an enthusiatic bunch; take care; have fun, and Ill see you later.

Oh, I added a bit of storyline in The Militia thread to account for Devlin's disappearence.

Oh no - Angel is devastated to see Mr. Saint go and Lady Europe had actually taken a fancy to the galant Battleflag after their duo slave-rescuing mission.

I really hope to see you back soon and take the opportunity to thank you for setting up the Militia IC mission venue.

To the remaining Militia members, I fifth (if that's a word) the suggestions made, and think that following a story arc could be great for IC immersion purposes.

Also, I think we should certainly welcome any others that might be interested in joining.

I look forward to seeing you tonight

Shame to see you go Battleflag, and don't worry, we'll all make sure The Militia's still here when you come back.

This now brings up one point, who's going to be the main 'organiser' from here on? Also, I'll probably promote another person up to Leader status in the SG, for Base things etc. (once we have the prestige)

Shame to see you go BF, I hope you come back soon. Thanks for organising this fantastic band of Rpers. As for who should lead now, well, that's a hard question to answer. OOC character, I would be willing to help sort things out behind the scenes but IC, Amber simply isn't suited to leadership yet so I'd question whether she should be put in charge of anything. IC, I nominate Force Commander but I am quite happy to follow anyone really.

Well I'm not leaving as of yet , but I don't know if I can make it tonight RL commitments are swamping me a bit.
I probaly come but I just wana give a headsup.
Have fun!

I agree that Force Commander would be a good choice as new IC-leader - Angel certainly wouldn't be suited IC for the same reasons as Amber, but just as Dante, I would of course be most willing to assist OOC/IC with any practical tasks delegated by Force.

Posted

Well, I'm happy with Force Commander as an IC leader.

Is everybody still happy with me in charge of base-maintenance? (I know there isn't a base to maintain at the moment, but we're slowly but surely getting there )

Angel has full confidence in your base-designing and maintenance skills

Hi there,

i wasnt there the last 2 times, therefore spammed the forum with a few short letters explaining why Leygran was unable to come. Seems he will be back today although a bit changed through the experiences he made awhile. Just wanted to ask whats the level range at the moment and looking forward to meet you all again tonight.

Best regards,

Leygran Windan
