Despite the odd faceplant last night, and low-ish turnout, it was still enjoyable. 
As a forewarning, two week's time, on the 6th July, it will be my 19th birthday, so I'll probably be out for a meal that evening.

Anyway. I'm alive and kicking and still lv14. if the cap is 10-15 I think I'm alright. I was afraid ya'll would have rocketed away to lv18 or something.
Nah, we're still around the 15 mark I think. As our levels go up, I think the level cap will become less and less relevant. By the time we get into the 20s we'll have slowed to a crawl. As long as there's no massive differences in the team we should be ok. Hope to see you Thursday.

Hi, sorry I missed last Thursday, I was out of the country and wasn't organised enough to post about it before I left.
I also meant to ask, as a rather crucial matter of roleplaying, do any members of the Militia actually kill their enemies, occasionally or as a matter of course? If so, I'm going to have some serious RP difficulties.

Hi, just to answer on behalf of Masked Angel - Meriam certainly hasn't killed anyone and would try her best to avoid using excessive force, but if the circumstances were grave enough or by accident, I suppose it could theoretically happen (e.g. situations like in the classic dilemma: could it be justified to torture a terrorist to receive information to prevent a nuclear bomb from going off and thereby saving thousands of innocent people etc...)
To complicate matters a bit, Meriam's mother (the former Masked Angel) might be carrying the burden of a dark secret on her shoulders...
Im conflicted Gang. As the teams are reshuffled because of the lost of members, I am confused as to who i should continue on as. Blitz or Hyper. SO ileave in to the milita to decide as i don't mind doing either. so if you guys could vote who you want to play with Blitz or hyper. Alsodo we need more defenders now or scrappers?I think we lost at least two of each?
Hmmm...difficult for me to vote on - Meriam liked Blitz very much, but hasn't really had the chance to get to know Hyper yet...so I had better abstain from voting - perhaps you could keep both?
I think Extrisity tries to avoid unneccersairy killings, Ex might kill someone by accident, He can't control the lightning at all times. He has some devices tho that do little to no damage.
As a sort of 'acting' leader, I say play the character you most enjoy. Also, as we go further in-game, the levelling will slow, and you might be able to switch between the two each week.
'Dragonfly wouldn't hesitate to kill at all. The way she justifies it, to quote her own words..
"To live and let live is to die and let die"
In a situation where a hero has his sword to a criminal's neck, if he himslef lives and thus allows the convict to live, there is that possibility that the convict will return to attempt to kill him or kill another. Dragonfly believes in eliminating this possibility if the chances of it are high.. in other words, she'd execute a mass murderer to prevent further murders.
Having said that, 'Dragonfly has killed one too many times (back home in rural China) and thus, has no intentions of doing it again.. unless of course you're a mass murderer.
A fine question Wolfram. One that I personally like to discuss and/or debate about. I hope my post answers it okay. Why dyu ask anyway? Is there something I (we) should know about The Portent regarding this matter?
Amber certainly wouldn't kill, she's far too sweet and innocent for that. I'm not even certain whether she would even if some villain was holding her dad to ransom, she's just not that kind of girl. I think that if any of the Militia started killing around her, she may have words to say about it, possibly at a very loud volume...
As for Blitz or Hyper, I found Hyper more of an interesting character but then I never got to team with Blitz that much. Although you may be able to play both, it may be a little too much to ask of someone so perhaps you should just see how you go. If you can maintain two characters for a while, I reckon one will emerge as your prefered choice. I think Amber might miss having Hyper around though, but I don't think she'd admit it. Good luck in choosing.

On a related note, are there any storylines that people would like to see us following? As our characters are becoming fairly well established now, do we want to start considering larger story arcs? For example, Amber will start getting hints to go and investgate the Lost and Dr Vahzilok's crowd due to her suspicion that they have taken her father. Do other people have a preference as to what villains we go after? (Or more accurately, do other people's characters have a preference?)
Just a thought as it means we can hopefully decide on possible missions before we start. Would our leader have any orders as to who to pursue?

It'd be cool to chase Dr. Vahilok. I'd like to resolve Sabrina's IC arc too.. she'd be after Tsoo. hehe.
The Portent is violently opposed to killing. He has no regard for law and order, but fights crime out of respect for the rights and dignities of all people. If a teammate killed an opponent by accident, he would make it clear that he expected them to be more careful, and watch them closely in future. If a teammate openly and callously killed anyone without a very good reason (such as the last desperate defense of themself or others), the Portent would pretty much consider it murder.
If this sounds arrogant, bear in mind that the Portent is little short of a fanatic. His belief in his political and moral principles is unshakeable, and he holds heroes to the same high standards as everyone else.
Since nobody seems to go on killing sprees as a matter of course, the Portent will be content to accept occasional accidents. I just got a bit worried the week before last when Triston implied that he'd knowingly and purposefully killed Frostfire.
Beyond that...
I haven't teamed with Hyper or Blitz very much, so I'll echo _Max_ and say go with the one you most enjoy, both as a combatant and to roleplay.
The Portent has no particular preference in enemies yet, but later on he'll want to focus his efforts on Crey and the Freakshow. Of course, he's happy taking on anyone who refuses to respect the rights of others.
Also, he'd quite like the Conspiracy Theorist badge..

I mean, I see very little chance of 'Dragonfly disclosing her criminal history to the Portent, but, such a discussion would inevitably lead to an arguement. The two heroes have opposing principles and perspectives in crime-fighting.

Raging Dragon
Real Name: Andreas Sakamura
Age: 22
At the age of 10 he lost his parents in an plane accident. Due to no relatives he was then put into an orphanage from the government. Where he was adopted short after his 12th birthday from Ken Sakamura and his wife Akiko.
The Sakamura familly is one of Japans eldest Samurai Bloodlines but nowadays almost extincted. Ken an martial arts and kendo expert, lost his own son in an battle with the tsoo triads, in which he rushed before his training was fully absolved against the will of his father.
Together with Andreas original father Ken Sakamura tried to bust a few bigger drug transports from the tsoo, which resulted in the arranged plane accident in which his father and mother died and Ken and his wife adopted him afterwards feeling responsible for him after.
Andreas was raised from the Sakamura like their own child, trained and educated in the old traditions and arts of their clan. At his 20th birthday after solving the physical and mental trials and tests of the Sakamura Clan, he gain the permission to wield the ancient Katana named MIKAZUKI (Half Moon).
At his 22nd birthday he learned the reason of his original parents plane accident and broke with Ken Sakamura blaming him for the lack of protection he gave them. Afterwards he now went out to Paragon City, to reveal his destiny and to perfect his abilities to take final revenge on the tsoo one day.
Meriam will be up for any story arc suggested/available.
I hope to be there tomorrow on a borrowed PC - my own new one will be delivered Friday but then needs to wait for the installaton team to contact us

Derek has seen enough pointless murders in gang wars to be disgusted by it. However he does occasionaly think that murdering a criminal is justified as it stops the potential harm of others. Is it right to murder a murderer? Tough question...
In short: Derek is young and hasn't got a firm viewpoint yet.
Concerning any story arcs.... I haven't played the game enough to know of any. But anything having to do with stopping gang-wars/crime in- or outside The Hollows is something that would appeal to Derek. Plus he can often come up with inside-information regarding the gangs as he used to be part of one.

Hyper Drive Porbably has no intention to kill, as he is too carefree to be bother with it.Not that he would probably remember he has as his memory is still on the fritz. Thought Longbow are very very concerned that "project:hyper" was used as a weapon but who ever created him.
I may be around on Monday evening with other alts but if there are people around who want to team up for a little levelling I could be up for that. I don't think we levelled very much last night so I suggest that we retain the 15/16 level cap from last week. Any thoughts?
