Please say it will never end!

Im a fire/energy blaster. With fireball, fire breath, build up and aim its a joygasm for me. Fire ball/breath those sorry but minions and then for THE GRAND FINALE its blaze bone smasher juicy boss dead move. Please say that the horribly satisfying damage output of a blaster will never end. (lvl 19 now) I was strongly touched by the BBQ, but i changed it a little. I just couldn't NOT get build up at lvl 4, but I still think that the blaster is the main tank that should dish out all the damage before his inevitable death.

Sorry for the not so good english, not my native language you see...

Level 26 - Power Boost (mmmmm double buffs)
Level 32 - Inferno (mmmm rapid damage)
Level 38 - Total Focus (mmmm Pure target domination)

You have insanely high damage sets! It only gets better, wait for inferno and total focus with a dash of aim and build up, recipe for destruction ^^

aim + build up + fireball + nuke + 2/3 CABs.... next mob.. Fireball + Firebreath... finish up with some melee attacks. Everything Dead. The end.

Gotta love Fire/Nrg. It kicks [censored] in PVP and PVE

Yeah, it just gets better and better. Blasters ftw.

Its nice to see enthusiasm for your blaster instead of complaining how squishy we are... be happy knowing that we deal more damage on a grander scale than anyone else !! You've made me want to go out and nuke some mobs (not like i need encouragement) blasters FTW !!!

Fire/NRG FTW!!! As a lvl 50 Fire/NRG i was amazed how my hot knife cut through the butter of villains I was a Scrapper, PB now im a BLASTER and i aint looking back

Currently playing a near perma defiance elec/elec and god is fun, i got bitten by the blaster bug so badly im now working on a NRG/NRG, AR/Devices and a ICE/ICE

Nothing more satisfying than, smacking a boss to his death with full Defiance and Blaze

Loving my lvl 21 En/En blaster - made an El/El blaster...don't like it at lvl 10 There don't seem to be as many ranged blasty powers in your main pool.

Is it my imagination or having El as a second more inclined to make you a blapper? Not sure if I want to go down that road...

You do just so you can laugh your socks off as Del lays face down time and time again!

I have new elec/elec & nrg/nrg blasters & this post made me smile a lot .

Build up at level 4 made me laugh a hell of a lot, & then getting Power Burst coupling in it made me cackle insanely. Elec is going to be a huge amount of fun too the varied set of utility stuff that comes with it.

I rolled up new the new heroes as I've just been otherwise clicking my heels a lot waiting on i7. Now I'm definitely going to have to factor in time to keep at COH too.

My first jaunt blasting, & having SO much fun with it!

I dinged 32 the other day with Ulver and got Nova.... suddenly my love for the toon was reborn, i had fallen out with him shortly after dinging 31 and managing to get myself into 53k of debt but after a couple of very good teaming sessions i had recovered my love for him as he decimated the hp of an enemy 3 lvls higher then me with build up, aim, power boost, and let rip with snipe. Also the nrg secondary set is so so so useful when suddenly a mob gets too close a bonesmasher+power punch usually gets them on tha floor :P or alternativly a power thrust followed closey by power burst gives a nice effect

Just wait 'til you get that bad boy slotted up with three damage, two accuracy and one recharge. Couple it with Hasten and you'll be doing it every third mob.

I wish i had some debt!

Try a /ice blaster...they can tank quite easily...take on 8 minions couple of lts and a boss no problem.
/elec can herd no problem, find a corner, hide, aim,bu, nuke = dead herd - sod tanking - blanking ftw!

In all seriousness, given the views and opinion expressed on the forums I get the impression I'm talking to the upper ranks in the skill stakes.
There's few people who come on advocating a Leroy Jenkins as a valid tactic (other than for the sheer humour of it). But out there in PuGland it seems that Leroy Jenkins is the favoured strategy by many blasters and I'm afraid those buggers are giving you lot a bad name.

Just as the scranker fraternity are giving tanks a bad name.

I'm sure that is the case tbh. First time through as a blaster i had loads of debt...not only cos it was my first time at CoH...i didn't favour the Leeroy approach either...just a case of not really knowing what powers to use when and having picked most of the wrong ones too.

Luckily the Precision Rangers has instilled a modicum of respectibility to blasters...although i know quite a few are debt magnets, but not because they don't know what they're doing, but sometimes it's far more fun to 'give it a go'!

In all seriousness, blasters can't compare to tanking like a true tank...i.e. taking the alpha and holding the aggro of 14 enemies at +4/5. But then a tank can't take down the lot in one fell swoop!

We both got jobs to do. I herd up the room and then put the kettle on whilst the damage dealers dispatch them with impunity.

I think blasters have a long way to go before they're seen as respectable They're the spotty, rebelious teenager who swiped their Dad's car keys and drove his Merc into a bus stop full of old people waiting for their ride to their weekly tea-and-scone afternoon.

That's not to say there's not good blasters out there, there's just a lot of bad ones. Scrappers are the same to a lesser degree. If I were to guess, maybe it's because those two ATs are favoured amongst newbies.
