PFF nerfed, like, totally
Whoa......bummer.
another reason to never turn it off

still has it uses just less useful in the middle of a fight now
Ah well, guess it just needs some Recharge slotting now if you want to make some proper use of it.
I guess it's to try and reinforce it as an "emergency" buttton for Masterminds rather than just as a constant shield once you have your henches fully buffed.
Well, on the bright side - that's probably saved PFF for everyone else, and probably kept MMs from feeling the nerf bat just yet.

certainly saw this coming as in pvp they could attack with minimal risk and was totally unbalanced when taking into effect other MM secondaries

Its your ISPs fault
I have to confess it would be one power i'd be willing to respec out of....except there is nothing else in /FF I really need for my mastermind
I probably used it to save my life about twice in 40 levels PvE, but I use it constantly when travelling outside missions, especially if you are lk'd in a higher zone or have just moved to a new zone with higher level mobs.
Ah well...Alas poor /FF I knew him well!
I used PFF in PvP but probably as it's intended - "oh crap a Scrapper has gone meieval on my [censored] and I'm losing HP's like water!"
Then I pop on PFF. And as soon as he gives up and realises he's wiffing against me, I drop it again to start Force Bolting again!
Just going to be a bit hairy without that ten second recharge in future and a trick I really can pull only once...
without doubt.. best nerf i've ever seen
Ok, besides making dreck timed that is..

had it coming, cudda seen it like a defender on his own in a pvp zone with no npcs with him AND bieng the bounty. and its for the best, the /ff set is a VERY good set and since the release of CoV it seems to have lost trck, i hope this nerf will help push u guys the right way, of helping your team mates and pets not just yourself
Actually it's gonna be the other way around. I see no reason to drop pff now with this recharge...so i'll keep it on at all times an enemy is near. Before, when it had 15 sec recharge i would drop it to bubble a pet or a teammate or use aid other.
Time to shoehorn aid self into my build... hmm, it's pretty tight for powers as it is! Perhaps it's time to say buh bye to tp foe. Hmmmmm

[/ QUOTE ]I love the set, when it's paired with energy blast. But for a MM? Nope.

you're one of the few hehe.
And i'm happy thats happening tbh. Every /FF MM i've seen doesn't attack at all. Just stay in the bubble and use their pets. (it is fun however to then kill all the pets and watch them try to rebuild hehe). But I basically thought PFF was overpowered so glad this is happening. Then again it won't make much difference to those who enter the zone and don't turn it off but meh.
Atleast there's always the gank bubble for you Afulia.
But I do know a way around it, oh yes, I do.
Actually, the most impressive MM I've seen in PvP and PvE too prolly was a Robo/FF WITHOUT PFF in his build. I won't go into the details, but do not underestimate the power of stacked buffs. With PFF you leave your pets squishy, without it you can make them very powerfull indeed. Using PFF is for people with no imagination
The FF set can be used so much better!

I've been in sirens abit with my Ninja/FF and all i seem to get is ppl avoiding my pets and going for me whether its blasters trying to snipe me from orbit or scrappers trying to beat the snot outa me and ignoing the pets.
MM's are just easy kills in PVP without PFF.
Defiant's GoEH/MILITIS METUS
Will change with the I7 damage sharing, keep your pets close by and you're gonna be a bit safer.

This change tbh only slightly affects my tactics, i mean with a merc/ff it takes (what seems like) at least 2 mins to buff up my pets, if i chose to sit in pff and let the pets do the work ( which sometimes when heavily outnumbered maybe the ony way) i was never likiely to drop PFF where i was to pet/buff up again, i would normally move to safe/clear part to do this. So by time ive done this PFF will still be ready.
If i chose not to sit in PFF and am attacked to the point i think oh **** im gonna die and hit it well it either stays on till i feel im safe or they knock it off and im dead anyway.
Prolly just my s*** tactics but really bleh doesnt seem enough if they truly wanted to nerf it imo. Perhaps a better way would have been if you activate PFF none of your pets could attack either and to have kept the rech the same, that imo would have stopped the drone hugging PFF'd MMs you sometimes see.
^^ if that lot makes sense i need another drink
I don't understand the nerf of PFF. If the main issue was aimed for "balance" i don't get it all. The people arguing while under PFF MM's were untouchable while their pets could still attacks and deal damage to their foe. Well, wait a minute cant a MM does the same thing using phaseshift or invisiblity?
Now with a larger cooldown, could it be possible to have it as an instant rather than waiting for the animation time to kick in so it is effectivly protecting you.. Its my "oh shat" button but more than once i've faceplanted because i was hit before PFF was active, due to the (short i agree but still precious time) animation time.
Out of curiosity, how is everyone's PFF slotted? :>

[/ QUOTE ]Invis is VERY easy to get through, and phase shift has limited duration, long activation, and long recharge. PFF used to be superior to both, now it's closer to them in strength.

Yes - added to patch notes:
Mastermind/Force Field/Personal Force Field now has a 2 minute cooldown after use. Other versions of Personal Force Field are unchanged.
Sorry about the missed note.
