Ice/Elec PvP
It's porbably easiar if you could stirke up a build firt dude that suits your play style and then the masses can comment from there
From that infomation, the only power pool I would change would be the entire leaping pool for hover and flight. Not only does it give you an extra power slot, but it can keep you out of the fight for definite when you want to be and hover provides adequate knockback mitigation, as it stops the full effect. SLot them for flight speed and in hover you'll have good manouverability and in flight great air speed to hunt down those run-aways and root them still with your holds (of which you can muster up to 4 if you so disrie, although personally I wouldn't take BFR, particulary in the hard and fast action that is PvP).
General Icey stuff. You're going to want your single target moves and slotted fast. 2 accs are essential. If you're going pure PVP, with invis, they end up being fillers as the damage isn't as potent as the mellee attacks and you NEED damage as a PvP blaster, as well as control. Plus the mellee attacks are your toggle droppers of course. Mine are slotted 2 acc, 2 dam, 2 endredux purely because otherwise I have end problems when I fire off me melee powers and I need recharges in those to recharge quickly. With out power thrust to fill You;'ll have to rely on BiB and IB really, I thnk, but I'm no expert on elec. I'm no expert on Ice/NRG actgually, but I know a bit And the above is what works for me, although I did have recharge in place of the end reducers so I could shoot from afar as the end problems were bigger iv PvE but you can still run out of end in PvP so I would still recommend them, especially if this is for zones. If it's for the arena then take recharges.
DOes that make any sense? You may have to read it slowly!
Well, one of the reasons I wanted to SJ pool is because of Acrobatics (hold protection) and SJ, because it's faster and useful for chasing stalkers. I'll consider it though.
Thanks for the advice, I'll get a build up as soon as I download the builder.
Haven't PvP'd much with mine yet so can't comment on that side of things, but I must say that you've made an excellent coice.
The only bad thing about ice/elec is the fact that you'll be kinda low on endurance until L35 and power sink, but it's manageable, not that much worse than most other blasters.
You may also struggle with higher than even level bosses before getting your third hold at L38 because of the reduced durations of FR and BFR, but if you get the geas of the kind ones accolade you'll be able to perma-hold a +2 boss with freeze ray, and the accolade should be up just about once for mission, making it very nice for the end bosses.
Powers to get ASAP:
Ice Bolt
Ice Blast
Charged Brawl
Freeze Ray
Either Aim or BU, don't need both too soon
Havoc Punch
Stamina
Bitter Ice Blast
Bitter Freeze Ray
Thunder Strike
Power Sink
Shocking Grasp.
Ok then, thanks for that. I have been powering through missions at the moment, but the end usage is insane.
So... powers I don't need to bother with?
I was thinking Ice Storm, perhaps Frost Breath... oo-er, that might be it. Unless I don't bother with Lightning Clap. Want to get Lightning Field to fend off Stalkers, but I could drop it... dunno. Also don't know whether to take Blizzard, because I kinda want some PvE elements, and it's getting better in i7.
IF you take blizzard, you should take ice storm too, to slow the enemies so they cant escape the area. I took frost breath, but it currently seems so weak that I'll be respeccing it out and bringing in ice storm and blizzard. Didn't bother with lightning field and lightning clap, although might respec lightning field in if I happen to make a PvP build at L50.
I would have thought lighting clap, well slotted, would have the advantage of being able to keep multiple enemies that would normally run away inside your ice strom and blizzard.
You don't need Ice bolt later, but it helps earliar on.
Frost breath hasit's uses and does make a reasonable combo with ice stormif both are slotted approriately, but that's only any help if you have other AoE powers to back you up if things get hairy, which I assume with an */elec that would be lightning clap and thunder strike. Personally I'd stick to single target. You do need both aim and build up for PvP as it does allow you to do more burst damage which is your key way of surviving. I wouldn't pass judgement on takin blizzard yet though.

[/ QUOTE ]If it was only stun, yes, but being knockback it's hard to use without knocking people out yourself.

PvP. Drop em.
PvE. They have all have some use. Blizzard can be nice, and is a real treat in the Eden trial. Frost Breath specially is good for lvling.

Pool powers I'm getting: Stealth, Invis, Hurdle, Health, Stamina, Hasten, Super Speed, Combat Jumping, Super Jump and Acrobatics.

WOW! a lot of pool powers...
On an elec / elec, I find thunderclap useful in pvp situationally, but to be honest, I think an Ice primary would be far more effective.
Make sure you slot Thunderstrike and Charged Brawl with Stuns; insanely useful at mob management. Not quite sure of the above suggestion of Havoc Punch, since it's Sleep as opposed to Stun, which to be honest, when you're constantly attacking, probably won't do much. I'm thinking of dragging it out next respec and instead getting Power Sink (lvl 35, I instead got Havoc Punch), since Shocking Grasp (lvl 38, Melee and HOLD!! OmGOSHwthbbq) sounds far more useful as a situational power.
Have fun.
edit: added a bit more information in brackets.

Thunder strike has a stun on the main target, but not for the others which makes it not so useful, rather slot EndRdx in it.
I found Thunderstrike to be too slow. Much like Total Focus. Don't get me wrong, both are great powers, but I respecced it out and won't be taking it until lvl 38 (much like Total Focus). I find i do much more dps with Havoc Punch, Charged Brawl, Lightning field on the go and a blast or 2. Tend not to get the endurance lows either as it's quite a costly power. (not quite got powersink yet either)
And for PvP, the medicine pool is very good. Although if you are taking all those pool powers anyway, you'll not have much room for any primary/secondary powers let alone another pool power.
I found Bitter Freeze Ray to be OK-ish in PvE (still prefer stacking Freeze Ray), but worthless in PvP with it's almost 4 second animation time.

Question:
Stealth/Invis or Assault/Tactics?

Stealth/Invis or Assault/Tactics?
[/ QUOTE ]Assault/Tactics, VERY good for PvP and also nice when fighting high-conning mobs.
Ok then. Hm.
I do like being invisible though. Oh well.
This would be my planned build to 50:

Since realised that the knockback on Thunderstrike is more useful as mob management, and charged brawl and havoc punch are just slotted for dmg and acc, untill I think of something else to do with Havoc Punch..
Regarding Sgt Furnace's build for PvP:
(If your low on slots you can take them out of ice bolt)
1)Stick tohit buffs on aim and build up, they'll help you hit through things such as pff. 3 recharge 3 tohit for PvP
2)Swift and hurdle over health, mobility is one of the key things that determine the outcome of the match.
3)Take the defence buffs out of combat jumping keep it with 1 jump enhancement and transfer the left over 2 slots into hurdle, that way you can have unsuppresed jumping for your blaster.
4) I personally feel that your attack slotting should be 2 accuracy 3damage 1 endurance redux, you have more than enough attacks required and constantly attacking will mean empty bar of endurance.
5) I'd take freeze ray earlier, it will help you in PvE aswell as a hold is very useful in zones such as sirens call.
Apart from that your build will be great for PvP, don't bother taking air supp and fly, their pants in PvP, and you don't have the endurance for assault and tactics.
Blaster= Hurt stuff.
Hope that helps at all.
Edit: don't know if electric fence has a -fly component to it, if so stick 2 accuracy in there.
Any tips? Never had these sets before, so any advice would be useful.
Pool powers I'm getting: Stealth, Invis, Hurdle, Health, Stamina, Hasten, Super Speed, Combat Jumping, Super Jump and Acrobatics.
