Silly trash-talk in PvP.

Yeah, /Storm, /Empathy and /FF don't really have what it takes to kill Regens one on one. (I have never fought a /TA or /Sonic)
Come face to face with a good /Kin or /Rad and your [censored] is grass. Spines Scrappers probably have the best chance against these types too, and I still tend to lose.

I know a stormie you should fight, arch sector. He is ice / storm, I think he has a pretty decent chance to get you.

Come to think of it, Nightbringer's Fire/Storm might have brought me down once, I was missing the point I think. Still once wasn't enough to beat the five or so kills I got.

A pure PvP build ice / storm is a completly different ballgame than a fire / storm build for PvE.

again, ice isn't a regens favourite powerset to face, -rch - spd.

i thought this was supposed to be about 'trash talk' in pvp.
[/ QUOTE ]
The conversation evolved, my apologies if that concept is alien to you.
[ QUOTE ]
being a frequent user of the talk (i get very annoyed usually) id like to kno what ppl think before i piss someone off and get banned

I'd suggest that you stick within the EULA. You might also give thought to letting your actions speak for you as opposed to dribbling insults from your keyboard, or maybe even just walking away from the PC. Chances are, someone isn't going to enjoy being ripped on, and they're more than likely to report you.

Ok,ive been off for a while so i just recently saw this and here are my answers.I am not a jackass,i kno how conversations evolve i was just wondering if u could get back to the subject a little bit so i could sort out my competetiveness problem. Also i dont use vulgar language as insults,i just rarely use them to express my anger,i cant let my actions speak for themselves because my main toon is rubbish at pvp (i just wanted to try it),and i do walk away when i get fed up playing. So im sorry if i confused u,i just wanted to get back to the topic.
Personally I enjoy how people whine when I one-shot them.
To quote tycho from penny arcade:Every minute was like sweet sweet juice.
One shot held a squishie today and as soon as I did I got a tell saying "noob" from them.
Then later a tell saying "I hate you"

I don't see how an Ice/Storm can do more damage than a Fire/Storm with the Fire Epic.

personaly, unless im with mates properly i just joke around going uninvised hoping a stalker will hit me so i can try and hold him (if this doesnt work i die) and drop decoys, i never really get trash talked because i always end up face planting >.>
Errm, now i'm puzzled.. how can a troller hold a regen thru integration? (I'm a noob in PvP)

3 or 4 stacked holds, with hasten running and a couple of recharge reductions you can quite quickly throw a single target hold then group hold, then another single target hold within the space of a few seconds.

Its not about damage its about the -recharge.
If a build doesn´t have hasten , there build is effectively eliminated after there usages. seems there are many ways to regain damage done ,but there isn´t a way to eliminate -recharge untill the debuff wears off.
Try to stand kill a nexus shadow shard when all those pesky shadows shoot at you but wont kill you , every hit has a -recharge , makes your normal attack recharge till a 1 min .
My dark armour scrapper wasn´t killed by all those blast cause of empath healing and dark regen , but my basic attack slowed down to a halt .
same with multiple artic air hitting you , it might not be much but its definetly noticable when your powers suddenly are not up as fast as you want them to be.

The hold resistance of melee character toggles isnt infinite. The melee characters status resistance received a big nerf for precisely this reason not too long ago. Stacking enough many holds on the regenner in enough short time means he will eventually get held. Other option is to use powers that have 'drop toggles' ability regardless of status resistance. Everyone has at least one, Brawl.

Sadly yes. The one that springs to mind is someone calling me a cheater for using inspirations...possibly the dumbest thing I've heard in a PvP zone.
[/ QUOTE ]
Yes I've had the same pretty much. If it's between dying and taking a Respite that is sitting in my tray, what does my enemy really think I'm going to do
CoX for a large part is an advanced game of rock, paper, scissor's. If I've got something, inspiration or not, that will help me in either staying alive, or defeating my enemy, I am going to use it, because that is the object of the game. Once the game come's to the point where everyone is moaning and no one is fighting at all, then the object of the game has changed and I will adjust accordingly and not use inspiration's, but just moan at the moaner's.
Unless your breaking the rule's that you sign to when you log into the game, anything goes. People who say what is right and wrong in order to suit them at any given time, will only prompt me to buy an entire tray of Enrages and hit them repeatly forever.

Ah of course, totally escaped my mind when I posted. But will their damage be enough before I down them? There is only one way to find out!

It's a shame some people feel like this but I've experienced similar numb-nuts in PvE, (yeeeesss.... the likelihood is you will have more chance of meeting these in PvP) but they are in the minority.
As you can see from the posts, some good people hang out in these zones too, "Lest We Forget" and laughs are had.
I love the PvP experience and I guess you can ignore, put on ignore, argue or deal with it however you like.
I've tried most methods of dealing with these daft people and I happen to be exceptionally good at arguments, not just the red-faced tirade types, specifically the balanced, calm explanation types that can pick the opposition's case to pieces, which often leads to /em tailbetweenlegs. The plain old fashioned silent treatment can work wonders too, some strange fun can be had here, Mua ha ha ha!
The way I see CoX is the way I view the comics and most movies, you have the hero & the villain, with it comes the mandatory repetoire e.g. a well known web slinger & his 8-armed nemesis, Austin Powers & Dr Evil etc. When I'm in PvP it's my duty to playfully taunt my foe just like the above mentioned. It can be done to hilarious effect and makes up the character! Most enjoy it, those that don't, I'll usually stop (coz it's not the same without a witty retort) but I NEVER swear, accuse or victimise someone because I can carry the banter out with some class.
Raise your glasses for hero/villain banter but frown & petition on those that spam broadcast with abuse & foul language.

Ever tired to apologizing to someone in PvP situation? After a heated discussion about trash talking in Warburg, with several parties included, I replyed to a comment not intended for me. As this was pointed out i said somthing on the lines of:
"Oh, I misunderstood, I´m sorry".
The reply came swiftly:
"no your not"
At times when everyone wants you to know the size of their sword I guess an apology (or an acknowledgement of the size of said sword for that matter) just might be to much for some to understand =P
