I just had a thought. What about using Warburg nukes?????

[/ QUOTE ]

No no no pleasre avoid using warburg nukes!!!!!The lag is already insane and the nukes are major issue for lag....if anyone start using nukes its most certain we ll be facing some server issue...plz avoid this and stick to the plan.

[/ QUOTE ]

Will do, TG Just wanted to clear that up

why not, incidently im gonna open a book on what % of hamis health the server crashes. I'm going for 10%...

[/ QUOTE ]
Just a thought, but would it be worth looking at the non-holders clearing some of the Monster spawns around the Jelly whilst the controllers and people with Holds try to lay the holds onto Hami ????????? maybe this would lighten the load on the server as there would be less creatures for the server to keep track of less processes required.. seems to me that the problem is just sheer overload of stuff for the server to keep track of??

Anyhow... whatever happens I'll be there.. Digi still needs her first Hami-O.. damn pesky critters have escaped me as of yet

At the same time, fighting the monsters near the jelly causes terrible lag. It's a no-win situation, I'm afraid. We'll just have to hope.

so hami ending yp dieing just not by the heros.... maybe it was the mitos and they turned on him... BWAHAHAHHHA

Welldone to everyone who tried. I really thought we'd make it this time, just a shame that the holds slipped for that second at about30% health. I was well up for getting up and trying again, just damn shame the server crashed again.

Big thanks to Xironia, Tainted Greek, Mr ? and all others involved in last night’s raid; it was marshalled superbly, as always.

Hopefully we’ll get him next time!

I must admit, although my graphics seemed to screw up (According to my screen I was stood in the middle of the group of scrappers when the holding phase was going on, but on Tygrrfang's screen next to me I was about 200yds away, making love to a Lattice... O.o) I had a blast, even when we all died hardcore, it was annoying, but I couldn't help but chuckle at the sea of orange names... hehe.

Is this true? In which case, are our friends over on the Vigilance server the only server to beat Hami post-ED?

I'm just a bit surprised the Americans haven't done it yet.

No this is not true.

Also a small recap of last nights raid and why it failed just so noone misunderstands.

Last night we failed purely due to our own overconfidence that Hami would have stayed held till we blew his health after the second vanguard call.

If at 15k hp we had called for a full stop on attacks till vanguards had been fully recharged then we would have held him once more for the same 3 min amount allowing us to pummel him to ground.

It was a pure mistake from our side for which we take full responsibility and apologise to everyone that was there for this mistake.

However it was really pleasing to see how nive everyone worked together and it was in fact a quite fast raid.

I can only promise that this mistake wont be repeated twice

However i would like to add its extremely dissapointing to see mapserver everytime mitos spawn which means there is no way to pull controlled spawn raids in EU.

THIS post suggests that Justice server defeated Hami every day last week except Friday. I'm pretty sure other servers are still beating him too... People should really do a little research before claiming that things are impossible

I had a feeling that that was why we failed. Oh well, it's hard to think of everything in all the excitement

Actually it wasnt. I was watching the health and we were counting held time. On teamspeak we took the decision to keep pummeling instead of hold back due to the immense lag and the fact that it was kinda 50/50 what would happen. Luck wasnt on our side when he broke free...like i said such a mistake will not be repated twice....

The mapserver was kinda inevitable though. If I remember correctly, the servers are only really geared for 75 people in the same zone (or is it visual range?)

There were 113 heroes in the Hive when Hami broke free.

Now THATS a lot of mitos

Posted

Thanks all for coming.

And In regards to the server crashing, Personally what I think is that once he breaks free, spawns mitos at 25% we all died.

Then if you look when the server crashed, it was at 50%.

It's possible that he could of tried to spawn mitos at that point too, and just completly [censored] over the server.

Next time.
Let the trollers do the damage. Get everyone else to hit him once, and stay back. The trollers/other holders were doing fine in bringing Hamidons health down, and we could easily have done it.
The raid leaders took the blame for the failed raid, and have apoligize to every one. Hell we will just get him next time.

Anyway I was glad to see everything was running smoothly, and people did a great job. The mito clearing was pretty fast, and Hamidon was held faster than I have ever seen before. So great job guys.

Yeah it all seemed to be going well, the mito-clearance went without a hitch and the holding phase was quite quick.

This was the first time in 3 raids that I'd been able to attack Hami directly once the attack was called so was grateful for that anyway

Thanks to all who organised, and all who attended. Was a great atmosphere and as usual a "whos-who" of Defiant which is always good to see.

I really wanna try another raid. I *know* we can beat him. If the server hadn't crashed i was all up for getting up and trying again.
