Just a small note. I'm using this post to announce my retirement from City of Heroes and Villains, effective April 4th.

I've been playing since late august last year, and I'd just like to say that this has been beyond a shadow of a doubt, the best gaming experience of my life. I've played this game longer than most of the other games in my library, and I've loved every minute of it. If it weren't for the fact that I'm starting my *uber year* at uni, I wouldn't even think of leaving.

I'd like to thank everyone at Honourable United, who've been my family since October, and are the nicest bunch friends a gamer could possibly wish for. We've fought and faceplanted together through thick and thin, through itty-bitty clockwork, to Mother Mayhem and Malaise and back again. You guys are the best, and I love you all

And I'd also like to say a big thankyou EVERYONE, from NCsoft and the devs, to the mods and the players, for making a kickass game, and a community like nothing any other MMORPG has. You guys all rock, and you all made this year of playing a joy for me

I'd try a 'fender or a troller if i were u, spawnie. I have a fair bit of fun on my empath And they're still potentially awesome in PvP.

Freedom Force vs 3rd Reich, anyone?

One combo you very rarely see is MA/Invul. I've only ever seen two other heroes with my combination in about 9 months of playing. A lot of people complain about it being an end-heavy build, and I'll admit that it was a challenge at times getting Sally to 50, but with a little effort you can balance it, and I now rarely go below half endurance unless i'm fighting the malta or the carnies.

Although I can genuinely understand why people like regen, and not to put down anyone who's chosen it, but I'm finding my claws/regen ridiculously easy compared to Sally. I'm able to solo pretty much all my missions (which wouldve given me pause for thought at that level) and I've yet to run into the <50% level of endurance. All that makes for a very fun game

Regen is a very good secondary. I'm not disputing that, but at the same time I'm glad I stuck with Sal, because I learnt a lot of survival skills that I don't think I wouldve learnt if i'd started off rolling a regen. At least, that's my opinion

Is it not possible for the devs/mods to track down the 50s? Or does that violate privacy issues or something? That way we'd be able to get a complete list of the Defiant 50s in no time at all.

Crippling axe kick may be ok damage, but the animation time is just SO long, which makes it unpopular for many MA scrappers. I personally don't use it. I have seen others use it however, so It's all down to personal preference.

I'd like to point out beforehand that I have VERY little experience with regen, so what I say may be complete wossname.

I would suggest you take revive. Seems to me that carrying around a power greater than the equivalent of a top-tier awaken can't be a bad thing, and since it gives you some endurance back, it's quite easy to switch on integration, click reconstruction, and be pretty much back to full health straight away.

Your ability as a scrapper will determine just how useful this power will be to you, but even the uber scrappers die sometimes, and this power can be very useful when you do.

My advice, take it, see just how much you need it, and slot it for recharge (1-3) accordingly.

Would it be alright if you posted up a short build, moon_angel? I'll have a looksy if you want Just which powers you've taken and how theyre slotted

Build up is pretty much a bread and butter power for us MAs. My advice is to take it as soon as you can. It quickly becomes one of those powers that you'll just activate reflexively before charging into battle. The damage boost that it gives is awesome but i'll agree, at the lower levels recharge is pretty naffy. That said, don't give up on it. It will give you the edge in situations where you'd normally faceplant. Also, if you're lucky enough to critical out whilst built up, the damage done in a single attack is just jaw-dropping.

I only have it slotted for 3 recharge, but to be quite honest for MA thats all the slots you need. Yes Build Up can give you a to-hit bonus, but don't forget, The entire MA powerset has an extra 10% over the base accuracy, making it the most accurate powerset for scrappers.

IMO, 3 slots for recharge is all you need for an MA build up. That way, you free up more precious precious slots

Out of interest, Da Man, what is your scrappers secondary power?

The mapserver was kinda inevitable though. If I remember correctly, the servers are only really geared for 75 people in the same zone (or is it visual range?)

No no no pleasre avoid using warburg nukes!!!!!The lag is already insane and the nukes are major issue for lag....if anyone start using nukes its most certain we ll be facing some server issue...plz avoid this and stick to the plan.
