What to replace Defiance with?

The debt thing is more to do with their role in a team, when you get down to the crunch, Blasters are one of the last ATs that people will heal as they are the least important in a team and attract death to them like flys to dung.
Plus our inherent just encourages us to hang around in a situation where doing anything other than running = debt.
Defiance is useless!

lol i wouldnt like to see that to be honest. Me and my SG pride oursleves on being the BEST and most IMPORTANT part of the team............and no not all Blasters are perma-debt.........just Fire ones
I do see where you're coming from though in that Blasters would probably be last to be healed in a Pentad team. If every1's on Red and the Empath has a single target heal available its probably going to the Tank or Controller...........then every1 else until we'r last. Unfortunately. But hey-ho thats the path we follow, thankfully i never have to see that cos i dont "attract death like fly to dung" i CAUSE death (arrests) like an elephant taking a dump on all the flies heads.

I've been in teams with 1 tank, 1 emp and many (4-5) blasters where we've plowed our way through missions like John Deer, without any deaths. I've been on teams with a decent mix of AT's and been killed lots of times.
But anyway, I'll join in on the parade. I don't ever notice Defiance, other than after being AS'ed. Getting something useful would be more like getting a new power, than replacing one.
How about a percent chance (slightly higher if your target is higher level than you, lower if he's lower than you) that a power will not cost any endurance.
You must be able to pay the cost however, otherwise you could spam nova at 0 endurance until you made the percent chance ..
I want blasters to have scourge... (is that the corrupter one?) its just cool increasing damage as the foes get weaker, kinda like a debuff.
Defiance is ok if only it kicked in sooner...
Scourge would be too powerful.
Now a lower chance initially than a scrapper, but A chance to critical hit, that increases as health decreases would be nice.
Or as i mentioned earlier. Just a slightly better scaling of Defiance.
The bar fills up as you take damage, and degenerates on a timer.
A thought. Leave defiance - but scale it better (I think we're all agreed on that) but add a recharge time reduction that scales with the damage increase. Basically, when the chips are down, and you need to deliver a lot of damage quickly, get access to your powers faster. Of course, maybe an END reduction as well.

Have had another thought on Defiance.
How about somehow being able to increase the activation time of a power to increase the damage and accuracy, in addition to the current defiance.
Kind of Dragonball style.
Defiance still works as is, but being able to click and hold a power to up the animation time and increase the defiance bar also before letting go and unleashing sheer hell.
This would be a good starting move and might enable blasters to start 1 shotting with a snipe again.
Yeah... A power up... But then you would just get people screaming 'NERF'!!!1111!!ELEVENTYONETEN11!!!

In addition, to stop any nerfments, as it increases the defiance bar, the maximum increase is still the same. i.e. if you get half the defiance bar from low health then you could make up the other half from the 'power up' - but balanced against being rooted for a determined period of time you may not get that shot off in time.
Hmm, with that kind of implementation it might just work... Plus, powering up a move while your health bottoms out could be regarded as the ultimate act of Defiance
My thoughts entirely. The long surge of rage and adrenalin, fighting off the pain as you prepare for 1 last shot.
An increase graphic in the power you're 'power up' that grows and gets brighter as you 'power up' would be nice too. Although not sure how this would work for AR types. Maybe you sit and 'fiddle with ur gun' for a while, frantically adding bits to it or something.
had to put a dampener on things but long animations and defiance = bad, especially pvp / large team wise, every time i go fora nice nuke with top defiance i eat floor.

That's the whole point though. You're in a bad situation as it is, low enough health you are already gettting a kick out of defiance, it would be a balancing act.
But, conversely, if you are at full health, you could 'power up', nice long animation but 500% damage buff at the end!!
ive got an idea of how defiance could help a bit more. how about as the bar goes up, your defence and resistence goes up aswell? once the defiance bar is full up you will have 75% defence buff and resistence buff along with the damage buff? so the worst you are the less damage they do to you and the more damage you do to them? but i agree, it really needs to go up faster, i can get to 50 health and the defiance bar only goes up by 2 points which is didly squat to my damage

We should all protest. Get your capes and auras and lag-causing powers and meet under the atlas statue to grind the zone to a bloody, laggy halt. Let the devs know that we won't take having such a crappy inherent. Defenders can come too because at least our inherent is of use sometimes.
EDIT: This was a joke, but come to the think of it, I actually quite like the idea, because it's clear that we can complain on the forums all we like, but the biggest thing the forums have ever given us is ED.
