when choosing a name i usually get my inspiration from one of my other hobbies, metal musik or warhammer 40000.
with my most resent MM i thought of a concept before anything else. it's a science MM with necro/poison.
her name was found using wikipedia as my english isnt perfect, and the inspiration came from a single band called Carcass. they were a goregrind metal band that excisted in the 90's.
my MM got the name Regurgitess (from the word regurgitate, obviously) and her pets got names inspired by songs from said band:

Ands its a homage to the film Azumi, i watch alot of world cinema and i particularly liked this one. My friend took the Seven Samurai names which were too long for me.
On my Thugs i went:
Colt, Browning and Leon. First 2 are gun brands and last the guy from the film Leon.
Smith and Wesson again gun names (was gonna be Starsky and Hutch)
Cassius for my brute after Mohammed Ali
Then on my Bots i have:
Huey, Dewey and Louie for lil ones,
Donald and Daisy protector bots
Mickey the Assault bot
Then on my Zombies/Dark so far i have got Shaun of the Dead.
They need to do Pirate MMs imo as it would mix with Leviathon nicely especially Zombie Pirates so then i can go all Pirates of the Carribean.

COmmando is name Piston, after an old tank a Friend had on NWN who was abosluetly nucking futs and I wanted to honour in my own litte way.

I simply change the names of my zombie minions to match those of people on the team. Playing a Necromancer from the future who's animating the soon-to-be-dead bodies of his friends (you know, from the future) just brings me so much joy. My "alpha" is always named after the guy we're trying to kidnap or capture....because somehow the idea of a time traveler murdering you with your own animated corpse just makes weird sense.

The Assault Bot has become War Serpent Rex, the Battle Drones will be Havoc Adder and the Protector Bots Aegis Viper. For the Adders and Vipers I've got three letters to be able to distinguish them

Protector Bots: Semitype & Prototype (ehm)
Drones: A1,B1,C1 (simple but effective!)
Zombie MM:
Liche : Boogieman
Grave Knights: Mr Pop & Monkey
Zombies: Fodder, Itch & Vapor
Romanov's zombies are called Iron Dragon and Dire Wolf (grave knights), Rasputin (lich), Hammer, Sickle and Medved (zombies), and Valentin (ghost)
