Lady Grey speed TF Challenge

Being a speed Tf runnner for the better part of the last two years, i wanna see what Justice has to offer. I have been blessed with the best teammates i could have ever hoped to be paired with. Here is your chance to see if you can beat some of the best Justice has to offer and make some merits as you try and do so.

What: Lady Grey TF in RWZ ( coop level 45- 50)
When: Now till one week from the post time 7/31/09
Why: Friendly competition and add a couple merits to your toons
Prize: One level 25 hero LoTG + recharge for each on the winning team. (currently 100 mil a piece)
[*]Rules
[*]1. 8 member teams [*]2. You can run at any setting , but since speed is the name of the game i suggest level 1[*]3. Screenshot is you proof. Honor system in effect. All 8 members names must be listed with TF time on the screenie .[*]4. Your welcome to run it as many times as you like with only the best screenie being posted or PMed to me (as in best time). Please only one screen shot per team. Any screenies PMed to me will be posted on the last day so as to avoid "zomg toona hates me and cheated so i couldnt win"[*]5. Prize is a hero IO, if you run on a villain you have to take the prize as a hero. I have sold all my villain stuff. If you only play villains , i might be able to hook you up with cash .[*]6. If you fail 2 mishes and get reduced merits, your time is void

I think that should cover most of the rules. If i think of some something else in the next couple days or if i missed something , please say something.

Most of all have fun

I so hope the IO is a Trap of the Hunter...or maybe Lethargic Repose. That would be hot.

I've hurt them enough by removing myself from the challenge, just say'n

So what's the time to beat? my gut says 20 mins is a good time to shoot for.

Posted

I would honestly believe 20 mins or under is do-able. That is w/o nukes/shivans, temps because i dont think they would really help too much this TF and is why i selected it.

can i be on Pum's team???

Psykinetic lvl 50 Psy/kin Def
St. Pauli Girl lvl 30 Ice/emp Corr

20mins is not doable if your not allowing for mish fails, those are a must for a true speed lgtf than 20mins is doable

You can fail 2 missions on LGTF: first and third. If you failed both of them, you getting reduced merit reward at the end of TF. OP allows to fail ONE mission.

i will explain a couple things.

Can you use these items, of course. I dont see them helping that much.

Yes, a 20 min complete time is very viable failing only one mish. The best time i have seen before this started was 22 and change. I know for sure at least 30-50 secs have been shaved off that already and i assume even more will be before this is over. That was done without a single temp power and using no exploits in the game mechanics. I also believe it was a Master run meaning no deaths, so not even the use of veng was executed.

its beyond me to even think of failing 2 mishes . 39 merits for maybe 25 mins of work is about the best merit per min ratio you can get in the game. The extra 2 mins to escort Penny back is time well spent for an extra 19 merits if you dont know the 'trick' to get penny back to the entrance.

If the game spit out 20 dollar bills people would complain that they weren't sequentially numbered. If they were sequentially numbered people would complain that they weren't random enough.

I'd argue that the 52 (at least I think that's what it is now) merits for blueside Hamidon raids is likely the best ratio. Especially considering the 35 minute or under times Justice has been running lately.

[/ QUOTE ]

???

39Merits/25min = 1.56M/m > 52Merits/35min = ~1.49M/m

Oh... wait... logic... reason... math skills... not applicable to Justice threads...

The server does it in 35 minutes because some players are nice enough to volunteer extra time for raid"prep". Without that "prep" time the raids would be a little longer( granted not by much) so that time should be factored in as well.
Anyway? Players can definitely do a 20 minute Lady Grey ( or very close to 20 mins)without failing two missions. I'd be up for this but am rarely on anymore.

Fun idea,Toona

I'd disagree with that. Considering amount of people you have to bring to raid, the number of DE monsters you have to kill to spawn Hami (and time associated with it), organization and the fact that The Hive is full 20 minutes before scheduled time, these 53 merits become not that lucrative as 39 merits LGTF gives.

"Under 35" has been as little as 22 minutes sometimes, Red. If we consistently ran no retreat, I think 25-28 would be a good average. It is also out of 53 merits. This does not require temp powers.

However, there is still the forming stage and spawning him, which will add 15-30 minutes at least, typically.

A good lgtf with people you know may take 5-10 minutes to form.

Uh...LGtf can be run by any number of teams at the same time.

And it would be an awesome set of teams that all started and finished at exactly the same time.

And oh .... waddaya know .... another instance of The Hive could be spawned and another Hami defeated at the same time.

[/ QUOTE ]

Uh huh...I'd like to see the great turnout in hive 2 without the core set of raid leaders who carry the whole thing 95% of the time.

Just because you don't finish the same time doesn't invalidate the argument that LGtf is a better use of time than hami for merits/hour.

On the other hand, a decent team with the right instructions can finish LGtf in 45 minutes. Try a hami, start to finish, from gathering, to EoEs, to spiking hami in that time frame.

And again, you need to get 30 people in the zone for pug hami before you can start...all you need for LGtf is 8. If you want to do a private hami raid, you can do it with 20 people but you'd still be in the 50ish minute mark, whilst those same people would be able to do LGtf in the 20 minute range.

In other words, you should quit while you're behind.

I suppose you can plug your ears and yell la-la-la-la all you want, but to try and claim that the information somehow presented before you by quite a few experienced people in both LGtf and Hami raids is wrong puts you on the wrong side of the field.

Nothing personal about it, but when you're wrong and it's been pointedly shown to you as such, you should concede the point and move on.

PS. If you think that I was personally attacking you, I apologize.

TJ i am not a nice guy, thats a given. Pum on the other hand doesnt have a mean bone in his body. If anything Pum was having a debate , that is all. By you putting this line

Actually, I can trace it back to when it started and which thread it was in. No worries, my opinions from that post haven't changed.

it only proves that your whole passive agressive thing about the smiley face was indeed sham. Are you still wondering why people turned on ya? I hold no grudge, i only wish for you to respectful to my friends.

Truth be told, I'm not sure what you are referring to about the smiley face.

But there is No Shame in looking back to the middle of June.
