I think Rayne has been sippin' the sauce or something. She has been getting stuck on that.
I like:
SaintJohnNB's suggestion of LSC - Liberty Server Chat
or LBC - Liberty Badge Channel
or LEC - Liberty Event Channel
or LBAE - Liberty Badging and Events
or LCC - Liberty Chat Channel
something, anything...
@Tax E - RIP CoH 2012
I don't think LBAE is a good idea, AE implies architect edition these days. The others are good though.
AHHHHHHHHHHHHHH! OMG you're right.
*destroys LBAE idea*

sounds like it might be hard to come up with a consensus. Is there going to be a vote or something?
We will work on how to decide when we reach impending doom. We're just looking for ideas right now.
What about
Liberty Community Channel - LCC
or.... Liberty inc.

Liberty Inc or what I said, LB Inc
That works. All the past channels were Badging channels and thats what LBx is *supossed* to be.
*runs naked through forum*
All things pwnie aside, LCC seems pretty cool.
What I don't understand is if all we are doing is creating another "LBX" won't it just fill up immediately by everyone migrating over to it?
Should ideas about splitting LBX into two "sub-chats" be considered or is it just assumed that everyone will just join both of those and we would still have the maximum density problem?

I think the idea is to move all the active players and leave behind everyone who has since left the game or don't even take notice of the channel but are still counted as belonging to it.
Plenty of dead bodies floating in the channel you could say...

This^. The channel rarely goes over 200 unhidden players online at any given time. That means that there are a lot of inactive accounts that are taking up space in the channel. The move will give us a fresh start.

Yup, thats why it was done before so many many times. Purge the inactive.
How about asking a Dev to just kill the Global channel and then we just start over from scratch as LBx.

To this point I have not been able to get any dev to respond to this. I have sent a PM to several red names and received no response at all. I opened a ticket with support and was simply told "At this time, this is not a current function of the game."
Unless I can get a response from the "powers that be", our only recourse will be to create a new channel.
Hows about LBEXTREEEEEEEEME!!!

From experience, it can take literally a year or more, if ever, to get a response from a red name. The response may be favorable, but by then your problem either ceased to exist or you found your own solution.
Awesome
(that's my nam submission for the channel)
my alternative suggestion is:
Awesomesauce
(sorry, had to)
I'm liking LCC.
Whether it stands for Liberty Chat Channel or Liberty Community Channel, doesn't make much diffrence.

It has been suggested that my wife (Arshalla) and myself (Erebus) seek membership to the LBx channel. Could someone please contact either of us for more info.
LB# maybe? (think "pound pound")

I like LCC. LBx has been more of a community channel than a badging channel for quite some time now, and this name will help reflect that.
