  3. I just rolled a DA/KM Tank, and after level 30 I really started to like him. A thought occured to me as I began to work toward soft capping for S/L/E/NE - Because the self heals recharges in 30 secs, has anyone built for +recharge and +endurance instead?

    If so, how are you likg your DM/KM?

  4. I have a sonic/MM blaster that is 50 (+1) She is near soft capped to S/l and 30's E/N, I will post it later.

    It is definetly a 'in your face' blapper. So having soft capped s/l is nice. I love palying her and it is a great combo. I skipped Siren's Song and sometines I wish I didnt, but I rarely solo this toon. I also skipped WoC and took MInD Probe and dont regret my decison, she ahs great PBAoE's and decent short ranged to medium ranged attacks.

    I say roll one up!!
  5. Ok, then I would suggest taking out one or both of those Hami-O's in Cloak of Fear and adding 1 or 2 slots of Acc/End to Dark Consumption. If you see my build you will notice that all of my powers are weighted toward endurance use/mod - because of this very reason. I rarely use CoF simply because it is such an endurance hog. If I find the need to use CoF, I will turn off Death Shroud. Death Shroud and CoF intefere with each other anyways and running both takes too much end.

    Edit: Just notice on my build Level 14: Fly, the BotZ should be -4 knockback protection - oops, don't know how that slipped in there.

    I do not know if anyone else is experiencing this. Ever since Saturday (2/5) after around maybe 3:00 PM (PST) on Liberty Server. I began experiencing weird lag it would be so severe I could not move. I logged out and back in. The same it would happen after about 10 mins (I timed it) and would suddenly spike lasting for 2 about mins. It has been this way all weekend.

    I have played for 3 years and have NEVER experienced this before. I checked to see if Nortons was running an update - No. I restarted my system - No change.

    I ran /netgraph 1 - Watched the PING and the green bar, it would be about 150-200 Ping and the green line would be short and a little wavy. Then when a lag spike would hit, my PING would rise to 500 to 1400 - the green bar would rise (increasing about 400%) and be a solid bar. Then after 2 mins it would return to normal.

    I am trying to figure this out. Is anyone else experiencing this? I am wondering if it is my ISP or CoH. When I surf the web or play another online game I do not experience this lag spike.

    Confused, please let me know your ideas/thoughts/theory as to how to fix this.

  8. Lady_Adura Here is my build it is accurate accept I took manueuvers (EndRed IO 50) and Cloak of Fear (IO 50 EndRed/To Hit Debuff) when Fitness became inherent. I like this particular build because she is well rounded. Her endurance lasts through fights with all the + recharge. You may also look at Dechs and Findulias builds they helped me out alot.

  9. "So I just tried to do a ITF with my Dark/Dark tank and.. I mean... it was... oh em gee...my poor, poor tank. I was reduced to the stupid little brother on the team. I'm glad I was on Protector were pug TF team are very forgiving and understanding. I performed so bad I was near ready to kick myself off the team. Fortunately there were two other tanks so we still pulled it off but geeze did I ever feel pathetic. Now I know that Cimorians are brutal but I have a sonic/sonic defender that does better than poor Technoire did last night."

    Don't feel bad its because of the -def which eats right through any defense you have. Best thing to do is pop a large or medium or 2,3 small purples and jump in - combining inspirations into purples as you go along. Keep your +recharge high and keep 1 eye on your health bar and 1 finger on your Dark Regen button/bind and hope for the best.

    I have an awesome DA/DM but she always turns orange to red when waist deep in Romans, luckily I have high resist and +recharge for Dark Regen and time it just right before I turn deep red. Mind you she tanks groups of Carnies and Malta at +4(x8) without breaking a sweat. Up against -def is another story.

    Know your Tanks strength and their weaknesses and compensate accordingly.
  10. So, I reveiwed your DA/DM tank and made a few tweaks and Softcapped your E/N and about 40% to S/L. If you can manage it later on with 2 sets of Kinetic Combat you will have softcapped S/L. I slightly changed the build taking away Energy Mastery and replacing with Hover and Manuevers. Giving you a total of 12pts KB Protection and some status protection with the Winters Gift Unique (relatively cheap now)

    "Best" buffer

    I like to have a defender that can heal, buff with both +Def and +Res and can debuff a foe. That way you get a little of all worlds. Combine this defender with either sonic, FF, Cold, Thermal or even an empath and you have a kick butt team.

    What defender am I referring to that can do all this. A Dark Defender. Didn't see it mentioned so I thought I would mention it. They can even slow opponents. They are kind of a Defender-troller without the diminished returns on buffs.

    However, with any good balanced team you can overcome most anything.
  12. I had the same thought before i19 released. At first I was excited to have 3 power slots available, but then I heard nothing about more slots. So, I starting planing in mids builds that had 3 powers with only 1 slot in them. With this concept in mind I built w/o Sprint, Stamina or Health and slotted Brawl/Rest with the slots I wanted to dedicate for Sprint, Hurdle, Stamina and/or Health. I usualy dedicate 2 slots for Health and Stamina each sometimes 3 if its a endurance heavy build.

    For my DA/DM tank I took Tactics, for an additional 2.5% defense. I took Cloak of Fear cause I had to take something and I took Kick each with 1 slot. CoF I might use, kick maybe just to fill a milisecond gap in my attack chain.

    I dont like feeling that I have to take something just to be taking it, but maybe my next build(s) will be more creative.

  17. I think its a fantastic idea. Have a door (like in AE) that opens to a 'power suppression Effect' room, for those of us who want it. Those who like to run every toggle and jump around buffing everyone or those who are not bothered by it can have their market place.

  18. I got a taste of what a Market with Power Suppresion would be like in Praetoria - and I have to admit, I loved it

    Is there anyway we could have a seperate room or one Wentworths in Paragon City that offered a 'power-free' market experience? With everyone and their uncle rolling demon summoners and the usual 'always on' powers that are noisy and obtrusive, it would be great to have a seperate room just for those of us who like to buy and sell our junk in relative peace.

    There would still be the Market place that people can run as many pwers as they like - but off to the side, maybe behind a door would be a power suppresed market place.

    Heck, even AE has a 'power-suppresion' room. For those of us who like to create in relative peace.

    Any thoughts?

  19. See this is where the no-brainer part comes in for me. Raising Inf to buy stuff (not the badges) makes sense, but if I can buy the stuff with A-Merits, why not and save the inf? I can run 10 A-Mishes in 2 days and get 1 A-Merit. Which I can use to buy Recipes.

    Think about this: I can run Hours of TF to get merits to buy a LoTG +7.5 Rech (250 Merits) or I can buy it for...what 100 Mill Inf? Or, I can run 20 A-Mishes over 4 days (which take about 15 mins per mish or less when I solo) and buy 1 LoTG +7.5 Rech for 2 A-Merits.

    For me; its a no-brainer. The hard part is overcoming the tediousness of running the same mishes over and over again (Frostfire, anyone?) and patience.

    I still like hoarding Inf, but I hate spending ALL of it on 1 recipe Thank you A-Merits!

    Dark Tanks

    I have to chime in on this one and share my experience with my very first tank, which happened to be a DA/DM Tank. I will be honest it took several respec's to get her right. You need to have patience in leveling DA/DM. Get some IO's listed below as soon as you can, especially the ToE+End. For me it did not help that only after she reached 50 did I learn about 'soft capping'. All her powers were basic IO's and I skipped CoD (big mistake). Since then she has become one amazing Tank, she is an absolute joy to play.

    I often farm +4/x8 Carnies and Malta for Inf and drops and sometimes just for fun Rarely does my health drop below 25% and when it does I hit DR - and 'swoop' my health and Endurance are full again. Groups that have -def such as Romans, I just pop a purple and a red before battle and try to kill as amny as possible before the -def widdles away at my extra +def.

    So, what have I learned after countless respecs and several Mids builds helped by Findulias and Dechs - the following:

    Get IO's Kinetic Combat (5 sets of 4 each) for Melee Attacks
    Get IO's Eradication (1-5 sets of 3 each) for PBAoE's
    Get IO's Theft of Essence + End Mod and put in Dark Regeneration (& Siphon Life, IMO)
    Go for mitigation of damage; balance +def/+Resist/+Hit Points/+Regeneration
    Go for +Recharge
    Get -KB IO's at least -6/-8 or even -12
    Put Siphon Life on Auto Attack!

    IMO Skip CoF, ToF and Op Glm. Take Weave & Tough.
    Why did I skip CoF and ToF? Because I found it difficult to herd large groups and sometimes they walk away or stand still and I can't hold their Agro. They both suck up endurance like a sponge. I skipped Oppressive Gloom because enemies will wander way like with the Fears, so I also skipped it.

    I hope my experience helps you in some way, if not at least it was fun to brag a little bit about a Tank that put up with so much; even a /Tell from an 'A-hole' telling me 'that DA sucked and that I was the worst Tank'.

    Which brings me to another thought. Enjoy playing this game, it is a game. If you want to be the All Mighty Kick A$$ AT then go for it just dont expect everyone else to think the same way you do.

  22. I am curious I was reveiwing my Power Attributes for my scrapper and I realized that I had +27 Accuracy and +0 To Hit. I thought to myself whats the difference? I read the very limited 'pop-up' description and it was of no help.
