At least they ANNOUNCED it in advance this time.

They made an announcement on the forums yesterday.
This is pushing a patch to fix an animation issue on the character select screen and at the tailor. The one that's caused people to create about 150 new threads in the past day.

Agreed. If it produces a better game then I can deal with the wait. Still this is starting to get "annoying".

I might need to add a new ignore rule to my list...anyone who threatens to leave this game for Champions when they post a complaint gets added to my ignore. Will be #2, #1 of course has long been anyone who uses the term "fanboi".

I might have annoyed some of and I am sorry. I will absolutley NOT leave this game for Champions. I was just irritated and ahad to vent.

that is just a mean tease. I'm in a boat like the OP. Due to work and real life, I don't get to play much anymore and I look forward to my time playing... So it is a bit of a tease I go to server status see its up, try logging in nothing...
check status, up... refresh... up refresh.. up, refresh down...

The maintenance window is usually 1 hour from 8am CT. This would be why, most likely, not all the servers are up yet. The login server is one, then the other 12 for the US accounts are the others. If they're not *all* up, you have issues.
Wait until 10am, it'll work then, I bet. Not that you can wait, of course... 
The why of the timing is that, believe it or not, the hour is both more convenient for working staff, and there's not as many on as, say, 7p CT. So it's a balancing act of a sorts.

In the beginning the Universe was created. This has made a lot of people very angry and been widely regarded as a bad move.
The page is bugged, it switches randomly between displaying the actual current status and displaying the status from June 24th. Hit refresh until the date at the bottom changes to today's date and you'll have the real status - which at present is all 'unknown' (Which to my knowledge means they're up and running but still being tested to make sure the update works properly and they haven't monumentally stuffed something up, hence the general public are not allowed in yet.)

HOW MANY FREAKING TIMES THEY HAVE TO MAINTENENCE THE SERVERS!!!!! Geez, almost every morning so far this week the server has been down. FOR WHAT?!!! I don't get to play much in the evenings b/c of my job and I get on in the mornings and of course, the freaking server is down AGAIN!!! If this non-sense keeps up, I'll stop my payments and go play Champions when it comes out. This is ridiculous. I pay to play but I can't ever freaking play in the mornings when I have time to play!!
