But even if educated marketeers don't have sufficient enticement to roll for salvage and sell, what's to be expected of regular folk? Unless something changes significantly, we may see a long time of outrageous prices on commons...
[/ QUOTE ]
For the regular folk, increased prices of common and uncommon salvage are buffered by a huge decrease in prices of most rare salvage and recipes from rolls. Look at pangean soil. They were what ...4+ mil, now at 600K.
I was working on my Field Crafter badge sunday - monday. I seriously impacted the price of stabilized mutant gen. I think I had them selling for 500k each for quite a while. Inert Gas, Spell Ink, Scientific Theory and Masterwork weapons probably took a hit too.
Yesterday I had to make 331 level 10 Recharge IO's so once again I impacted the price of Clockwork winders and Computer Virus' ... not that anyone would have noticed though ... lol

I guess you haven't run into the Level 50's that don't know where the trainers are yet.
You will.

Or the ones, "looking for the respec guy" - in Port Oakes... *sigh*
City of Heroes didn't fail, City of Heroes was killed. If a 747 dropped on your house, you'd say you were killed, not you failed to find a safer dwelling.

Streetcorner ranting can be fun and satisfying, if done right...
Anyway, I finally could be arsed to visit the AE and even ran with a team today. Rolled an grudzillion tons of common salvage from the earnings, and we'll see how much it'll bring me inf-wise.

How dare people get to 50 without having to respec.

Arc ID 58363!
After dinner last night, my son and I did a AE Dev choice mission arc. I had a blast. It was hard for our scrub PuG team but nothing beats the thrill of getting a drop .... wooo what'd I get?
The one problem I see with AE dev choice arcs are the lack of auto-sk versions. You know how hard it is to put together a non-farm team of all the same lvl in Atlas on Freedom with an 8 year-old asking you questions?! lol
If anyone has some good dev choice arcs that use auto-sk then please let me know.
I don't think the auto-SK works in Dev Choice missions, period. Dev Choice mishes behave like normal missions, with regard to mechanics. Please correct me if I'm wrong.

Seems like that's the question I answer the most these days. Not "Where do I pay my SG base rent?" or "How do I get a cape?"...always "Where's Arbiter Sawyer?" I've been eagerly awaiting the day he gets put on the mini-map, but I just realized the respec arbiter in Nerva isn't on the map, so Sawyer probably never will be either. I need to make a macro or something.

A man goes away for a few months, and comes back to some twisted alternative universe. Sounds familiar? Sure does to me...
Common salvage that "back in the day" went for no more than 10K (I'm talking Nevermelting Ices here, and similar crap) is going for 25K and up. I mean, Scientific Theories barely ever fetched that much in early 2009!
What did you people DO?!

The DEVs thought that the Rikti Invasions went so well that they set up a situation to cause a Farmer Invasion.
It has worked quite well.
If you don't know how to trigger a Farmer Invasion yet, go to the AE in any low level zone and yell out that "L50 Kin LFT".
Of course, a Farmer Invasion may have already been triggered before you get there.
The question really has been more "How do we stop the Farmer Invasion?"
You are reporting one of the symptoms of what the Farmer Invasions have caused.
You'll note that this is a different kind of situation that was cause where there were "normal" farms going on.
It's a pretty obvious symptom of a pretty massive disease which has infected the City.
