Help Me Out Here Devs
I think if the do another ban wave and toon deletion they will be killing their game. I for one would cancel my 3 accounts.

With how fast people level up during double xp weekend, coupled with how fast people ALREADY level up during AE boss farms, even with PuG's........hmmm.....how in the world will that NOT make their "level too fast" alarms go off?
Maybe like half the toons in the game will get deleted from that weekend.
ages ago prior to AE farming, during double xp weekend i leveled a 2 villains (3 accounts at the time) to 50 in 14 hours for a double xp weekend. I'm sure some people have done it even faster. My point is, that is a crappy way of measuring whether a toon gets deleted.
While this thread my be meant to incite some kind of ire, it does have a valid point.
How fast is too fast? I've gone from 1-50 on several toons on several diff 2xp weekends. This is actually a pretty valid thing to define, so perhaps you would encourage creating moe alts, which in turn could boost your revenue...I really don't care what spin you wanna put on it. Just define the shortest amount of time to be 50 please. Thx.

It will be interesting to see if the devs ever announce/detail "how fast is too fast" for two reasons.
1. To see their measurements/metrics for it/what not
2. See the reactions of people complaining that they are too high
If the devs ever did come out and detail it, which I doubt they will, I'll take a stab at it and say that it should take a person about 70-100 hours to get from lvl 1 to 50. The fastest I've gotten to lvl 50 was when the VEATs were released and my sgmates and I did a full VEAT team and just ran through normal content and I got him to lvl 50 with around 77/78 hours. But that is with a full team knowing what to do/etc...so some new player not knowing what to do/where to go/where the best xp is/etc would take longer.
Granted the time for getting to lvl 50 could definitely go by faster because you could do "normal" (non-farmy) missions in the AE and have no travel time needed at all. I would be very surprised if the devs said anything less than 40 hours for getting to lvl 50.

Especially when it's a simple matter of communication. They just won't communicate what is "too short".
They already said they won't because if they say 20 hours is the limit, then everyone will do it in 21 hours...I guess they rule by I know it when I see it rule...((shrug)) <<(oh wow virtue talk)
What i don't understand is..they say it is exploit however it was their mistake why should we get punished, besides it was all known "feature" so devs can't just bann few and say "oh hey this person gained way too much compared to other players" since actually everyone could run this rikti farms or w/e so the point to say certain player had way too much advantage compared to other players is just sry dumb.
On dbl xp we got on normal nemesis farm in maybe like 1 day person to 50 - wanna delete all this toons too from all past issues? GL!
What devs don't realize is you can't force players to play same content over and over again. Yes we have AE, so what? It is still same map, same NPCs, same powersets. After grinding at least 10 toons to 50 i got pretty much bored of game content :/
A toon i got from 1-50 in 6 hours got deleted and teh 3 day ban trown. so 6 hours is too fast. lol...devs...

I don't think they'll be deleting any more toons. They [censored] up. Apparently they were deleting valid level pacted toons because the unplayed level pacted toon leveled up from 1 to 50 within minutes, an hour, whatever.
I can get 1-50 in about 10 hours thanks to the auto sk. So level 50 in 5 hours during double XP? Sweet! Maybe 7 hours for a lvl pact to go from 1-50... awesome!
I'm looking forward to it and I'm not worried one bit that any of my toons will be deleted. If they do then I'll sue!

Yea I am now getting toons 1-50 in about 8 hours without double xp so, I'm basically just getting them to 49 then leaving them on overnight I think. Should do the trick.

I think they should at least be required to make a very public announcement (perhaps one of those motd spams they do for updates) saying that from the point they make the announcement on, using the exploit will result in bans/deletions. That way they aren't telling us the fastest we can level toons without getting banned, but we still get a [censored] warning, and then they don't have to look like such terrible devs (too late for that actually..)

I've gotten toons 1-50 in 30-40 hours play time without PLing but they basically lived on TFs 16-50.

Not the ones that aren't in the AE running exploit missions and powerleveling farms.
So all of mine are safe.
Maybe that's a good enough excuse to run "normal" content for a weekend?

Players were warned in advance that the MA/AE is/was not intended to be used as a farming or power-leveling tool and that players that exploited the system in this manner would be punished.
It was quite clear in the release notes. It has been repeated since then. The loopholes need to be sealed, but they are currently snares that might trap an exploiter at any moment. The holes are getting sealed. The fact that we were asked not to abuse the system would prompt the honest person not to abuse the system.

They don't have to prompt many to do this. That is what farming is. The exact same mission over and over again. Not even a bunch of different missions - just the same one.

Then you really haven't been playing the game. There is a lot to experience and, if you are creative with the AE, there is a whole lot more to experience.
If all you want to do is power-level to 50 and then farm your way to purple IO sets, then no wonder you are bored. I would have quit long before you did.
With 138 characters with 2527 combined levels, I still find new experiences in the game nearly every time I play.
With 10 characters you've experienced what? One of each kind of normal hero and villain archetype with one primary and one secondary for each archetype. I'm fairly sure you haven't tried out all the power pools either. What about the 4 epic archetypes (2 hero and 2 villain)?
It really doesn't seem that you have checked out that much of the game to me.
Maybe you need to PuG more often. I'm assuming that you team at least with a sg.

Yes, but as you've touted on many occasions, you're an individual. No one else is like you. Why are you expecting (or instructing) people to play and experience the game as you do?

I am not speaking for everyone, just me and my MMO friend. We both have gotten at least two 50's through PvE. We experienced it. And we're done. This may not be true for you (and that is completely fine, I see nothing wrong with that) but for me and my friend, we're pretty much done with the PvE game. We find no joy defeating the same things over and over, no joy experiencing the same maps at which point we have memorized almost 50 down to the boss spawn point, no joy using the same powersets. However, we are happy (very happy when it was pre-i13) with PvP. That is the one thing that brings us back to playing this game.
We tried WoW once the Devs of this game decided to screw over the customers by introducing i13 and completely ignoring the multiple requests, suggestions, and hints that were given, per request of the devs, towards PvP. We liked it for awhile, but once we had done about 50 levels on one toon, we got bored.
PvE is not our cup of tea, but PvP is. And if the Devs create a way for us to make it to 50 in 10 hours, we will most likely use it.
Why the Devs banned multiple people just because they leveled "too fast" is beyond me. As long as they are paying, what is wrong with getting to 50 in 8 hours, unless they are hurting someone else? They were actually HELPING this game: they were promoting PvP, helping others come into Test PvP, and encouraging those already in it to continue.
I will say, on the defense of some, that AE farming is hurting this game by allowing players to level up without knowing what the game is, but for those that have 30+ 50's and have played the game for 40 months, I don't know why it is wrong.

Can anyone tell me how many hours i have to have on my level 50 toon so it wont get deleted? I mean the devs obviously arent against powerleveling because of the inception of AE. And they still do Double Xp weekends, so...I ask again. 10 hours? 12? You single handedly destroyed the test pvp ladder by deleting/banning toons and players for pl'ing using enemies (Rikti) In AE missions that you put there in the first place. It wasnt an Exploit. It was creativity. And since when did you enforce unwritten rules like "Your toons leveled too fast, they must be deleted". 3 weeks after it was 50, Accoladed and IO'd to boot. And no explanations, replies to emails, or comments to be found on the subject. Just alot of deleted threads and modsmacks. I'm scared to do anything double xp weekend for fear of getting banned, so how bout some clarification here?
