Level 30 aura mission question
Crey's Folly
The contact himself tells you so
Crey's Folly.
As you enter the zone turn immediatly to your right and jump up onto that warehouse. Plenty of level 30sh Rikti Monkeys up there to smack around.
Crey's Folly also has easy to smack around Freakshow and Devouring Earth Swarms to complete the aura hunts.
Thank You all.
CF is the easiest place to find ALL the things needed for the mission. You can, however, kill Freaks on your trek through Bricks if you want. Once in CF, I tend to kill Rikti Monkeys and Devouring Swarms. Both are found in large groups, and are underlings so pose no threat.
Dispari has more than enough credability, and certainly doesn't need to borrow any from you.

The mission that unlocks the Science Store contact in Brickstown contains Rikti, if you prefer a non-hazard zone / instanced alternative.

Devouring Swarms can overwhelm you if you're a Flier - they can ground you into another mob, and getting hit with 20 odd autohit -Spd/-Rch attacks can add up (make sure you know how many are in the mob - they have no collision).

This is true. Particularly if you can't take advantage of their weakness to Fire and Energy damage or if you're without AoEs. Because they're not subject to collision detection they can end up occupying the same space. That one Swarm can turn out to be five or six once you attack.
Best thing to do is run a quick circle around the spawn to determine how many are there or try to drag a mob through 'em. Of course the latter method can be iffy since the AI doesn't always recognize other enemy factions as hostiles.
I had an ignominious defeat by Swarms in Crey's Folly once. This was way back in the day before the aggro cap. I was running around harassing several swarms with AOE. My mistake was standing still to take pot shots at them, thus allowing them to catch up. I was laughing at their piddly DOT, until I noticed my health was dropping faster than I expected due to the stacked DOT. Then I discovered that I couldn't move from all the stacked slows. The defeat that approached me was slow, steady and unstoppable. All I could do was watch it happen while naming myself a fool.
Teams are the number one killer of soloists.

I use this option on any character that can't handle the hazard zone sized spawns, even a mob of monkeys can be deadly!

But it's fun to watch them when they're caught in my tar patch and ice storm.
Monkey go poof!

i make stuff...
For the record, Crey's Folly is also good for hunting Crey (who'da thunk?), which you need for the level 30 costume slot mission from the tailor in IP.
I usually grab both missions once I hit 30, then truck on over to CF to take care of both at once. And Crey, like Freaks, show up in slightly easier-to-manage groups on the way through Brickstown if you want to hunt on the way.
FUN FACT: That burst of light when you level up is actually the effectiveness escaping from your enhancements all at once.
I like using the level 30 store missions.
Penny has DE, and as mentioned Holsten Armitage has Rikti. Freaks are a dime a dozen in arcs and scanners.
Double bonus, Holsten Armitage's mission also unlock the O-portal if by some odd chance yopu haven't acquired it by then

Where do you find Rikti for the lvl 30 aura mission?
