Please help me with a costume design!

Okay I'll give it a try. Not sure if I like the gold. I tend to make my villians much darker.... But here is the Butcher . His hands are covered in blood from all the innocents he's ripped apart and his boots are covered with blood from all the little puppies he's trampled... (What?!?! He's a bad guy!!!)
Here's more what I'd have gone for color wise -

Here's my take. I've focussed on the 'fallen warrior' angle of your backstory, so the 'axe murderer' side of him is downplayed except for his expression and the red slash on his face, which is an indelible tattoo marking him as a murderer and to be executed on sight if he ever returns to Aldebaran. I see him hanging on grimly to his military discipline (and uniform) as he struggles to control the rage that cost him everything and tries to escape the memories of his terrible deeds during the rebellion.
Here's my take on him. You didn't say how alien he is so I just went with humanoid with yellow skin and warrior caste tattoos. If there's not enough white it can be used to replace either color on the flight suit pants without interrupting the flow, I think. I didn't want to give him too much tech stuff since I figured he would have been stripped of whatever uniform and weapons he had when he was exiled, so he had to make do with what he could find and/or make on the crashed ship.
I went more for the high tech bit, rather than the medevil path.
Also, I figure that since he went on a rampage, he was not likely a grunt, so probably a bit up in the ranks at least .. perhaps an officer?
So, I used Tech Bot as a base, changed the face to a full tech helmet, which holds about the only color on the armor(apart from the Jewel on the chest and the cape), thus being the distinguishing feature of possibly his whole unit.
Changed the shoulders too, to some tech ones.
Oh .. and added a cape to show off rank, and a fire axe ... which, I for some reason really like. Maybe he simply grabbed the nearest fireaxe, if he was denied his nice plasma rifle ?

I think it's a relatively clean design, and you could probably both use it as a heroic character, and as a villain.

I agree, great costume.
Well, here's my attempt. I was trying to get a classic slasher pic feel with the mask. If only they had a hockey mask as a costume option (or the Science Booster was out with the larger selection of rebreathers and googles).
And his armor is still spattered with the blood of his victims.

Btw - I'm actually a bit of an old hand at this, but my old forum account was connected to my old beta game account, and that is inactive now .. so suddenly I could not post anymore! So I had to make a new forum account just for this game account.

I'm still watching the thread, but I've put the character creation on hold for a little bit. I really like a lot of the ideas and once I'm not overwhelmed with alts, I'll be making the character and giving out the reward(s).

So, I came up with a concept I really liked - name, powersets, etc. - but I'm failing miserably at the costume. Here's the concept and a little backstory:
Name: The Butcher of Aldebaran
AT:Brute
Origin: Technology
Primary: Battle Axe
Secondary: Energy Aura
The basic idea for his story is that he was part of a military squadron on one of the planets of Aldebaran that was putting down a rebellion. The leaders of the rebellion surrendered, but in a fit of rage, the character left his unit and slaughtered the families of the rebellion's leaders. When he was discovered, he was given the choice between execution and exile, and chose exile. The ship he was exiled in passed reasonably close to Earth, but Earth's use of interdimensional portals screwed up the ship's propulsion system and he crash-landed on Earth.
So, my idea for the costume is a combination of two looks: technically advanced astronaut and horror film axe murderer. I want to use white, maybe some solar colors (yellow/orange/blue) and of course, blood red.
I'm offering 5 MILLION INFLUENCE on Champion, Liberty, Pinnacle, Triumph, or Virtue, or 5 MILLION INFAMY on Infinity to whoever's design I use (or base my final costume on the most).
