Another great video. We have so many talented people on these boards its going to be sad to see them go.
Loved the discussion between the Menders at the beginning. And the ending...well, I think my allergies are acting up beacuse I'm certainly not crying. -
Quote:They are repurposed toys from DC and Marvel's 6" toy lines. Are these 3D prints, model kits, Frankenstein-ian toy repurposing, or something else entirely?
Jack is made from a DC Universe Booster Gold with some scuplting to make raised edges for his gloves and boots and some to fill in where Booster's googles were.
Goshawk is a Marvel Legends Angel with Wolverine forearms/hands, and a Daredevil head with the horns sanded off. -

Question: I was wondering how you took those screen shots of characters at the character select screen? I want to save a few pics of my characters before November 30th.
I switched to Windowed mode under the graphics tab and then did Alt+Print Screen then pasted that into MS Paint. That's the only way I found I could take screenshots at either the login screen or tailor. -
So I started making these action figures over a year ago and they kinda got pushed on the backburner and then moved downstairs with the rest of my collection of unfinished projects. Anyhow, with the announcement that the game was shutting down I really wanted to finish them before the end. Sorry about the lighting, I'm not much of a photographer.
My Invul/Energy Melee tank, Jack of Spades.
With removeable energy fists!!!
And my Claws/Reflex scrapper, Goshawk.
I still have a few more of my characters to finish before my SG and VG are complete. -

Jack of Spades 2
This time I was just going for that Bad-a$$y tanker look. Sort of an amped up version of the original (or Ultimate version).
Sorry it took so long.

I really dig this one. -
Here is ddgryphon's character Scarlet Sting.
No theme.
Bio: Ko Kawa was born to a professional executioner for the yakuza. Her mother died in childbirth leaving her father to see to her education and upbringing. He doted on his daughter, but trained her in the arts of war and assassination, never revealing his true occupation. She only knew her father as a good, kind and loving man. When he was finally assassinated, she vowed revenge and put her years of training to use. She discovered her father's true nature, but instead of following his path, she struck out to fight crime.
Original Scarlet Sting 1
Scarlet Sting 2
And here's my take. I went with a more superhero-ish look and kept the same color scheme, but made red the primary color.
New Scarlet Sting 1
Scarlet 2
And this is a more realistic look that I was experimenting around with in keeping more with her original costume.

ddgryphon's pc went down. Waiting for screenshots when he gets up and running.
-
Well, here's my attempt. I was trying to get a classic slasher pic feel with the mask. If only they had a hockey mask as a costume option (or the Science Booster was out with the larger selection of rebreathers and googles).
And his armor is still spattered with the blood of his victims.

I'd be down with this.
As you kids say. -
My first blaster is an Elec/Elec/Elec and still my favorite.
You should definitely take Build Up a lot sooner, if not both Build Up and Aim.
I didn't see Shocking Grasp in your build. It's a nice melee attack that gives you a third hold as well as some decent damage and endurance drain. Possibly replace Lightning Field or Zapp with it.
I had LF in my build for awhile, but found it to be pretty lackluster for the endurance cost. Although it's one of the coolest looking powers in the game. -

Thanks for all the nice comments.

Do you mind if I color Dead Woman, by the way ?

And here's Hericane in her civvies -

Spino had a great look and concept there!

Agreed!
This next one of Turbo-Ski was a bit tough. I was going for a different angle. It started out as a worm's eye view, then became a 3/4 worm's eye view and ended up as...well, I don't know what. Took me several days to get the back leg positioned somewhat correctly. And I think her torso should be more over the front leg for right perspective.
Turbo-Ski -
Well, I thought that Niobjorg looked a little plain so I added some shadowing.
Niobjorg...again
And Spinomania's Dead Woman because shovel tankers rock! -
I give you TA's Niobjorg
I liked the way the pose came out. The cape is pretty lifeless, but in my defense I kinda forgot she had one and just added it after the rest was already inked. -

BlackJackDavy! Didn't you draw me before?
I think you did!
Yus you did!
[/ QUOTE ]
I thought that was required before I could post in this forum. -

great...... lol we all wanna get just one more commission and you wanna draw more, i sense a never ending cycle here... a good one,, but neverending nonetheless...

Oh, don't worry I only pop up for a few days than disappear back into the woodwork for another 6 months.
That's how I roll...as you kids say.
And TA, don't you have enough art?!??! -
Damn you all!! The constant stream of great art that keeps cropping up in here is making me want to start drawing again. And I've also realized that I don't draw that many female characters. So, does anyone have a female hero or villain that they would like drawn?
I, of course, make no guarantees on quality. It might just be a stick man with boobs. Oops, can I say that?
Ahem....it might be a musculaturely challenged person with boobs. -
Great post!!
Maybe there should be a Take Your Child To Faultline Day. -
Monstergirls in a rock band....sounds cool. Here's my take on the mummy, creature, vampire, and werewolf.
They did the monster mash. -

Those are great. You gotta fall back into that "drawing mood" again! And stay there.

Thanks. I'll try, but I have the attention span of a goldfish. While I'm in the mood though....

What better way to finish up a 3 day weekend then with some hot girl on girl action...

Hehe, I like the way that turned out. I am glad you got back to these. I remember seeing your sketch and thinking it was a dynamic and great start. All three pieces look great! I hope we get to see more of your stuff.

Thanks Kat, glad you liked it.
