is there 'Day Jobs' guide somewhere?
Never link to wikia, that's the old wiki.

yes they are nice, but why not? There are guides for everything out there, they can be one for those also.
I'm just noting your phrasing, "if there's no guide for it now." There are guides, they're on the wiki; they were even linked in this thread before I linked them.

I don't consider those guides. Those are lists.
By contrast, a guide would help walk you through the decision making process of which day jobs are good for your AT, and for someone wanting them all in the least amount of time, a walkthrough of stand here-log out-move there-log out-move there-logout, etc.

I can be found, outside of paragon city here.
Thank you everyone at Paragon and on Virtue. When the lights go out in November, you'll find me on Razor Bunny.
There is no getting them in the least amount of time. All the dual spots are gone and they all take 21 days to get. If you can't figure out "go to x, log out of 21 days" then a guide may not help you.
This isn't like the crafting badges where some means are cheaper then others, this is just sit and twaddle till the 21 days expires.
There are tips though. Oddly enough, a frequently-played character won't make much progress on badges, but if you leave a character for a while, you'll make more progress and have enough time to actually take advantage of the various bonus powers you get.
Since I juggle 11 alts, I actually find it easier to get rewards thanks to the 'days logged out' counter- I log into the alt who's been offline the longest, play them for a bit and log out in a different job location.

Sure there is.
If I perhaps thought that Caregiver was a great one to start with, I might be interested to know that getting Midnighter next provides the Alchemist Accolade and that then picking up the Mortician will end this path at Archaeologist.
Or I good go Caregiver, then Professor for the Physician Accolade then either Architect for Master Architect Accolade or Intern for Scientist.
Mixed in would be recommendations for which Day Jobs and which Accolades have the optimum benefits for which kinds of characters.

Still takes 21 days per badge. Can't be faster. The list on the wiki tells you what power comes with what badges/accolades. Pretty easy to figure out which will be most useful for you character.
the wiki lists also do not include the 2nd tier day job badges. does anyone know where there is a list of which day jobs have a 2nd level
for example, there are 2 levels of Vanguard - the Vanguard recruit, which is listed in wiki and a Vanguard Veteran, which is not listed in wiki. I have also gotten a 2nd level for the AE Architect badge and a 2nd tier in Wentworths for the teleporter.
do all day jobs have a second tier? they don't show a progress bar like the 1st tier badges do but after (I assume) a second 21 days in the location, you get the badge notice.
There is not a 2nd tier badge for any day job location.
Their IS a 2nd teir power for most if not all. Taking the arena as an example
Until you get the badge, you get the 'duelist' day job power which is +4 endurance
Once you get the badge, time is accumulated on the 'expert duelist' day job power, which is +6 endurance.

21 days per badge, but you can tailor the order to pick up the Accolades faster.
Of course you can look at a list and figure out what you think is useful, but you could say the same thing for almost every guide out there, just read the powers and figure out what will be most useful for your character.
Ya know, if you don't like or need his guide, no one will hold your eyes open and make you read it.
Quick suggestion: If you do write a player guide for it, post it in the wiki in addition to the forum with the tag
[[Category:Player Guides]]
at the bottom.
Some advantages of posting it in the wiki are:
<ul type="square">[*]You don't have to personally maintain it, as anyone can edit it to add information if something changes (e.g. new badges)[*]It will be there permanently, whereas the CoH forums might get wiped. (Granted, I think the Player Guides forum is one that is set to never be pruned, but I'm always a little skeptical...)[*]It won't be "buried." People searching for day job information will see your guide in the search results. How far up or down in the list it appears will depend on how relevant it is, not on how long it's been since you posted it.[*]Perhaps best of all, it can always be edited, whereas a post in the player forums can only be edited within a day or two of your post. (Although that might change in the near future, with the migration to vBulletin, but I'm not sure.)[/list]
Anyway, something to consider. We have a bunch of player guides out there already, and we could always use more! The [[Category:Player Guides]] tag will ensure that your guide shows up in the category list.
We've been saving Paragon City for eight and a half years. It's time to do it one more time.
(If you love this game as much as I do, please read that post.)

you are absolutely correct cat. I know there isn't a second badge, misspoke there, but there is a second tier which can be nice. like vanguard vet giving 2 extra vg merits instead of 1 at mission complete.
but regardless of my incorrect choice of wording, do you know of a list of which day jobs have a second tier. as you noted, it may be most but don't believe it is all. and as it's not a badge and, therefore, no bar to look for it would be nice to know so I don't log off in places where it is not doing any good.
thanks
Every day job has a second tier. The second tiers are all on the individual pages, since the specific information is only listed there and only a general idea of what the reward is is placed on the Day Job Badges page.

Just wondering if there's a guide out there on where they are and what they give.
thanks!
