All scrapper STF
I'll be on Virtue on Sunday with my dark/regen. If there's no room for me, no big deal. I'll make sure I have warheads and shivans beforehand in case I can get a spot on a team.
I also have the same toon, already with warheads and shivans, on the Test server as well.

Are we going to go get nukes and shivs or should we already have them? I already have mine locked a loaded lol.

That makes this a good time to ask this question.
Who do I bring?
Softcapped, IOed, purpled Claws/SR? (Only missing a few LotGs, if anyone wants to donate. >.> )
Spines/Fire loaded with level 50 common IOs, and a couple of -KB IOs?
DM/Shield loaded with level 50 common IOs, and a couple of useful set IOs (Steadfast +Def, etc. No sets bonuses...and this is assuming I can get her to 50 by the weekend. She's 41 now.)
Bring whomever you enjoy playing the most. I think the rule of thumb is going to be "If you aggro it, you tank it!"

*scratches spines/fire from the list*
I think I'll have more fun on my SR, anyway.
Now, about those LotGs... >.>
As I figured. I got my shivans without any issues. I managed to get one warbug nuke before that damn griefing fire/mm blaster showed up... Again.

While I would probably suggest bringing your most survivable one, since dieing a ton isn't fun no matter how you slice it, I was thinking your spines/fire might be useful for rooting ghost widow (Quills+Impale).
How many immobilizes are we going to have? Any DMers and Spines raze your hand.

From all the people who have already mentioned having them (myself included) I think we'll be fine *if* we end up needing them. I am really aiming to just use inspires on this run though.
As to who people should bring, bring whoever you want. As Soul Fane mentioned it'd be nice to have some immobilizes for Ghost Widow, but even that is optional. The current plan is to run around wildly killing everything, with the only exceptions being Ghost Widow and Recluse, where I will hold my scrapperlock back as long as I can to play tanker on both counts, because the alternative is pretty much resorting to Shivans, and I'd rather not do that.
Soul Fane has the dubious honor of being my back up "tank" unless someone else has confront as well.

Well, all we really need is one more DMer coming along, and rooting Ghost widow should be cake.
I think I've decided to bring my Claws/SR. Definitely my most survivable, unless the RNG decides to be a hater. I added the Achilles' Heel proc, the last LotGs, and swapped Elude for Hasten. I've got a Heavy and Shivans, and 2/3 nukes (gonna get the last one later).
That said, if it's decided immobs are what we want, I'll bring Spines/Fire. Not as survivable, but she's got a self-rez.
Unfortunately it sounds like I15 broke the STF. I was gathering some advice from the tanker forums when someone brought up that the repairmen are now basically unstoppable. They heal the towers right as they spawn, before anyone can do anything about them. We may have to put this on hold barring a patch before the weekend.

Spines/Fire is awesome for the towers phase. I've seen a friend at work with his - the two auras make short work of any repairmen in two ticks.
If you had two spines/fire (or four auras of any kind) on team, you might be able to do it despite the repairmen bug, as the first tick from four auras would kill the repairmen. Granted, I don't know how fast the repairmen actually heal the tower, but the auras start hitting them as soon as they spawn (normal attacks can't) so that's another plus.

sadly this won't work. Even with things like Sleet and rain of fire running their heal hits, no matter what.
Well, not having tried it since I15 I don't know much about it ; however, I don't know if I'm reading your comment wrong, but it looks like to me you're saying interrupting won't work (as I don't think RoF or Sleet can kill the repairmen the second they spawn... could it ?). I was suggesting the repairmen might not get their heal off because they'd dead, not because they'd be interrupted.
There is a bug that they heal the towers before you can even hit them.

CONFIRMED
I reported this on Monday night. We had a scheduled STF event on Freedom with 3 teams running simultaneously. It ended in Epic failure!
The TF as a whole was fine, but the repairmen healed the tower every time, regardless if they died or not. It seems there was a slight AI change that makes foes use healing powers sooner and more often, and it causes them to begin healing the tower before they are even targetable, which means it still gets healed for over +3000 even if you kill them immediately.
Somebody else reported actually completing the STF later that night, but it took longer, and a couple towers were rebuilt repeatedly for the same reason, and they had to be taken down again. I guess it's still possible, but it can be a pain in the neck if you don't have a way to kill the repairmen sooner. I have not personally attempted again since that night.
And by the way, several of us did already /bug and /petition, and we got confirmation from GMs that it was an unintended bug being looked into.

In that post, I thought he was talking about powers that can't target the repairmen, unlike auras, but maybe I'm reading it wrong.
They seem to be healing even in death...
For what I heard that is.
The alternative is to man up and take on Recluse with the towers up...

It is all related to the MOB AI change which was bascially spawning mobs in the ready more to attack. That being said, I would still be game to try this.

If it's just AI related then theoretically having someone with an aura at their spawn point might keep them from healing it. If everyone still wants to go for it, we can go for it, I'd just like to know we at least have a small chance of succeeding. Anyone know how the one team who succeeded in those quotes did so?
Infatum on Virtueverse
If a team did in fact do it post-i15, I can only imagine they used temps or had some insane damage to overcome the heal. Auras, rains, and killing them immediately do not prevent the heal.

We'll start forming up around 3:45, once 4 hits I'll start looking for replacements for anyone missing.
Anyone volunteering for camera duty? I'll try to setup fraps or something, but I've never tried running CoH with it before so I make no promises
We'll be leaving temps enabled, but lets try to run it without them first and only fall back on them if we have to.
