All scrapper STF

We were down to the green (last) tower, when our inspire load for that run was wearing down. I said, "Anyone mind if I use a Nuke?" I think I almost got lynched on the spot.
I spent all that time getting them and now I'll never need them (maybe Kahn or for fun at an all scrapper Rikti Raid).

Funny enough, Sacred Fire got the Undying badge after defeating Ghost Widow.

Does this mean the repairmen bug is gone? Did you guys notice them acting strangely at all or did it seem normal?
I got the villian disruptor badge in the thorn mission. I thought thats supposed to be gotten in safeguard missions. I guess they need to change the discription to "Defeat 25 NPC Rouge Island Villians to earn this badge" But that was a lot of fun. Im sorry if we offended you, Werner. We left some standing. Ahh.. my sig has been made fact once again.

they didnt act strange from what I saw. Nothing more annoying then any other time So I guess its fixed.
Edit: From what was said they did, healing as soon as they spawned, I didnt see them do that. they flew in and then healed so i would say its fixed

Well great Job Guys!!!
So how did you like it Werner?
[/ QUOTE ]
It was fun, but I did enjoy the ITF more. The ITF had fewer cramped corridors, more pure scrapperlock, more kill all, more consistent difficulty level. The STF seemed to ramp up. So the first few missions seemed pointlessly easy, the main challenge sometimes being simply moving down the hallway with so many scrappers and bad guys. I think our first death was on the tree mission, then a number of us got wiped out by Aeon when we got premature aggro (might have been my fault I was charging around killing everything that moved, and suddenly I was fighting Aeon). I don't think it really got challenging until the final mission. Even then, the AVs other than Lord Recluse went down pretty easily. I mean, we had trouble splitting them up and there were a number of deaths taking them out, but even with Ghost Widow, we just beat her face in until she eventually collapsed. And then Lord Recluse himself was pretty seriously difficult. I think almost half of the time and the majority of the deaths were from taking him down. But it felt the whole time like we were making progress, so it was never particularly frustrating. More this exciting sense that we were going to be able to do it despite the bugs (if it was still bugged), and without resorting to temp powers.

I couldn't tell for sure. It seemed like they got off several heals after they died. If we didn't get them spawning right into the burn patch, we had some trouble. Hard to say either way.

As for the Repairmen, it was hard to tell what was going on with them. We had our AoE's, two burn patches going on, and two blazing auras.
Something really cheap happened though when we defeated the yellow tower. One of the repairmen had spawned and used their heal somehow, died, then the tower came back up. I know the towers can be brought back, but man that was lame.

It was the blue tower. The reason is was lame was because we took the blue tower out first. then took the red tower out. both still down. we started on the yellow tower and the blue tower was revied. mind you that was the first tower we took out and we were working on number 3 when it was revived. Ive seen them revived as soon as the tower was taken down because of a straggling repair man but that tower had been down a while. I even hung around to make sure no repair men showed up when we took it out. I did the same thing for the 2nd (red) one. very very lame indeed

I am on virtue as well. That sounds like a plan. Who else wants to be nuts and try it?

I did an all-rad ITF a week or two ago as well. 7 Rads that time. Perhaps it was the same ITF?
Anyway, I'm on Virtue and I've got a dark/regen scrapper I can add to the mix for STF.
[/ QUOTE ]
The team I was on had a tank. Even though I objected to needing one. He DCed before the last mission and didn't come back before the end. So the last mission was played as it should have been. The leader was Rad Rouge and my alt was a plant/rad troller, Botany Boy R.

I think Rieze should try to prove that sig line...
No nukes, no Shivans, just scrappers.
[/ QUOTE ]
I was thinking the same thing. The problem is that for it to be done, certain types of scrappers would have to be needed. I don't want this to be about powersets. Just want to grab 8 scrappers and run. Although, no temp powers no inspirations would be great indeed.

Xenos was on that one too.....and yes its lots of fun having a low hp no actual mez protection toon survive fairly well

Im impressed myself. but i had a feeling we could do it. the funny part is, some people I know that run STFs on a regular would of had a heart attack if the team did some of the stuff we did. from spawning sands while still underground thus casing the massive ambushes. to dropping two AVs while still being chased by the security chief ambushes. and fighting GW in melee!! That right there was the highlight of the whole thing for me. ITF was a little funner. But this drops all the talk about how you "need" certain ATs to do certain things. like you need range for GW and you need a tank paired with an empath for LR. you need debuffs to hit mako when he has elude up. (well, we did have two tactics running lol) The truth is all you "need" is to know what the hell you are doing. I wish we had it on video.

Wait... I'm not use to this teaming thing... you're saying massive ambushes are bad???
Me, I didn't know what was ambushes and what wasn't. I was just happy to have targets. Often I wouldn't even know we were fighting an AV until my tab key would land on something purple.
I do think that taking down Ghost Widow in melee was kind of the highlight. I think it helped that we had three Maneuvers and two Grant Covers going to buff everyone's defense and make it difficult for her to land her heal or her death hold.

That's actually normal. Note I don't disagree that it's lame.
If a repair man is left somewhere, he'll go repair other (dead) towers. It doesn't happen a lot, but I've seen it happen on normal STFs, usually when something happens to the main LR aggro holder and he starts rampaging on the rest of the party. If a spawn of repairmen gets through in the chaos, it seems some of them can go looking for other things to fix.

Tactics: Start with OwtS, Wedding Band and 3 Lucks. Run up to LR and start attacking, AAO will keep his attention and interrupt his pet spawns. Keep a supply of Lucks, oranges and greens. It helps if some peeps are brave enough to get near you to drop more inspires on you.
I did have the last part of it recorded...
But that was kinda boring with just LR left and 8 scrappers on top of him...
I'll record it every mish next time though

Not too far off of my normal tactics when I'm tanking him with CMA; purples to maintain 75% def until the red tower dies, then my normal def & res are enough while the other 3 towers go down. If LR gets lucky it's Dull Pain or green candy, no emp required.
If the fight goes long I may have to call for some more purple & green munchies but I typically try and have 10 purples, med-large, and at least 4 med-large greens at the start, that almost always sees me thru the dangerous part while the red tower's up. I can survive him with the blue buffing him almost indefinitely as long as he's not hitting for double damage. With a Shield you'd simply keep the 75% def active until the blue tower died as well as the red.

We got the no temp powers part covered. Now we gotta work on getting 121 less defeats. About 15 of those were mine. About 10 of them were one shots. Honestly, at one point it looked totaly doable. The problem is that it will require specific types of sets and powers and being extra extra careful. *Looks around at fellow scrappers* Really? I'm not saying it can't be done. It just wouldn't be fun.
