Does look pretty cool. Though other than the swords, can't you fake most of that with current costume options?
All things considered, I think there is less of a need for a full "anime pack" and just simply a need for a few more costume pieces here and there. Since there were martial arts heroes even in older comics it wouldn't be horribly out of place--it would just need some fine tuning so it would be decently stylish.

I think instead of an explicit anime expansion, it'd just be better to find cool/interesting individual costume pieces and ask Jay to add them to the game, in Jay's costume request thread. There's lots of neat individual pieces that could be suggested... and just because the suggestion's origin is anime, doesn't make them intrinsicly 'anime' pieces.

This. Just because it seems inherent to a specific style of art, doesn't mean it's limited to that specific style alone. Especially in the realm of comic-books. Anime art stylings are just as wide and varied as Western art stylings, after all, and sometimes the two sort of blend together (whether by purpose or design - see also: Teen Titans or Avatar: The Last Airbender, or even Megas XLR [Seriously. Megas pretty well summed up and parodied the entire 'giant robot' thing while doing a fairly good job of Westernizing it for the most part, except specifically when they were making fun of it]).
Honestly, I'd like to see more large-esque glove/boot options (sort of like the Enforcer and Large Robotic pieces - both of which give sort of an anime-esque feel, as does the Vanguard and their Talsorian weapons) of more varied sizes. 
Would LOVE an anime expansion or booster pack!!

I guess anime costume parts would be cool, but I'd rather have a toon look like Vega or M. Bison. That way, I can make binds like "YEEEAAAOOOW! CHIKOW!", or "This place shall become your grave!"
I'd say M. Bison (if going by the US release names) could already be done easily with the Justice boots and a bunch of red. Vega (again, US names) could probably mostly be done, but sans the cloth around his waist, and maybe a different looking mask.
