RP Conventions for In-Game Items
lol, I call them "Skittles"
I just say something like "let me help you.". Smelling salts or something similar for wakies.
I'm only ladylike when compared to my sister.
You can refer to Inspirations as "combat drugs or chems, stimpacks or meds"
I may disagree with what you say, but I will defend to the death your right to say it.

I don't RP while leveling/teaming, so I don't have to worry about it. That, or I just disregard certain things. I think it's lame when people say "I'm feeling LUCKY!" before using a purple. And no amount of justification would explain away all the immersion-breaking things in the game, so I just don't worry about it.
Dispari has more than enough credability, and certainly doesn't need to borrow any from you.

Enhancements are easy enough since they all represent either devices, training techniques, chemical serums or magical artifacts you're using to make yourself stronger. I suppose the hardest one to accept are techniques but I'd just assume you're finding some sort of training manual or whatnot.

I don't RP much, but when I do, I really like to stay in character.
How do you offer, or pass around enhancements, inspirations, salvage and recipes to your group or team members and still stay in character?
I tend to refer to inspirations as "candy" anyways.

I don't like trying to RP metagame concepts.
Salvage seems like it does exist exact as it is in game and can be referred to by name.
Inspirations don't have a physical reality. They're Inspirations... that is the comic book moment of the hero digging deep down to tap into a greater potential. They therefore do not exist in an rp context for me. I don't mention them. I just drag and drop them onto others who can use them with no fanfare. I'd rather someone say "((need blues))" than say "Does anyone have any BLUE CANDY?". WTF? Who's bringing up CANDY during a fight? Get lost creep!
Yeah, comic book heroes don't beg for their favorite food during combat, right?

Well, on my barbarian, i go over to a defeated enemy, /hump it, then give a "potion" to my teammate.

Personally, I don't treat them as -items- but more concepts of what they represent. When passing the inspirations around, I don't RP that. I just do it. The "item" is game mechanic.

What, did you never play Diablo? (Or was it Diablo 2?)

Diablo 2. Diablo just had potions pop out of orifices when enemies died.

Your right, plus I recall actually wandering around terrain, Diablo just had you going underground.
