Bacon tempura
Although i would suggest using cold soda water for the tempura batter . . . .
I've heard of using vodka instead of water for tempura batter. It evaporates faster than water, thus giving you extra crispy tempura. I haven't tried it yet, though.. so this could just be a vicious rumor.

perhaps my oven is lame but it took more than twenty minutes at 400 to get my bacon crispy. It takes me five to get the same results in my microwave..
