Shield/SS/Pyre if you have the Inf to softcap + get some nice recharge + some nice recovery.
Shield/Fire/Pyre being a bit cheaper to build and still move through stuff fast.
I did a mids build shield/wm and it seemed ...kinda...squishie...55% melee defnese...am I just reading that wrong?
i took a fire/ice when plant came to controllers and p.l'd it to 50 in 28 hours..so they are as fast.
fire/kin lvlin faster is a myth started by people who cant hold the old farmers jock..
fire/fire is the best since issue 2...but any can and do ok. shied/ss is ok as well..
the problem i have with my kin is the amount of resets involved..tanks can do dreck ( yeah i know some kinds do dreck but they cant do it as quick as i can)
dreck = more spawns and higher xp then demons or praeitorians.
this ='s more xp and less resets and plus freaks can self rez which ='s more xp in your pocket.
course ive only been pling with fire tanks since issue 2..so what do i know :P
this isnt saying fire/kins arent good cause they are..but you have more tolerance when your in the big dreck mish with afk'ers cause they can come back in better time then a bm mish or demon mish..and i think weve all had that issue before
less resets and more rezzed freaks = more xp and more influence...

The softcap for defense is 45%. Anything over that only serves to cushion against def debuffs. Soft-capped, a paper bag would be fairly sturdy, so your tanker should be more than capable.
They ALL float down here. When you're down here with us, you'll float too!

I have a fire/fire tank...Id like to see a good build for one. I seem to die alot unless iM facing pure fire damge mobs

Ask coldmed nicely for his build. I consider fire/ to be the squishiest (cause it is), but he turned it into a juggernaut.
Of course, its insanely expensive.
50 Tanks: Invul/ss, Fire/ice/fire, Ice/em, Stone/fire
WP/Stone, dark/dark, shld/mace
50 Other: WS, SS/dark/sc brute, BS/Regen/WM scrpr, fire/fire/force blaster, rad/kin corr, mind/rad ctrl, ill/storm cntrl
wish i could use mids but its not updated...could show you it but the vault was never made
so id have to write it all out

Back before Fire/Kins were the rage ,my ole Fire/Ice Tank combined with Dead Scanner mish was a sight to behold. Even after all the nerfs Burn/ED/Global Defense I was still herding Battle Maiden mobs 2-8man spawns and laying waste.
Not going to down Fire/Kins though, cause the right map/mobs/some support can lay waste faster than anything I've seen. Short of the ole Blaster Inferno next to a fully pulled map of Ninja flopping on a Ice Slick.
Fire/SS/Pyre A great solo combo.

SD/Fire/Pyre I think may kill the fastest and not be too squishy doing it.
SD/SS/Pyre but be prepared to spend a lot to cover the endurance [censored] this build is.
First of all...bite me...is it exploiting the system to wanna farm my other toons? Is it exploiting the system to wanna farm to make cash for all the god aweful expensive purple sets and IOs?

So..is there such a beast now as a tanker that can solo farm? I mean solo farm well...NOT as fast as a fire/kin...but Im wonder. I get kilt lots on my fire/kin (translation...I dont play a fire/kin well ) and I love tanks...
So just wonder what people think
