There is nothing wrong with a male roleplaying a female, just like there is nothing wrong with a female roleplaying a male, or a male roleplaying a neuter, or a female roleplaying a transvestite, or a male roleplaying a cat, etc.

Lets say War Admiral is correct in his assumption that the two players he mentioned were in fact male. Also assuming that they denied being male, and not just showed up as girl toons, and acted as such, is lying, not role playing.
These two things are not the same.
War Admiral, you have every right to be exclusive in your SG. You want to know the person, and feel they are your friend, and friends are honest(Again, I'm assuming they denied being male). What they did then, was not role playing. I hope that you will be able to seperate that idea, from role playing in your mind.

I won't ask you to repeat them. And I actually do agree there are certain things - ways of phrasing stuff, points of view - that can betray a person's biological sex. There's plenty of verbal cues.
Having said that, though...
The most filthy-minded individual I know is a lesbian woman. She's got a mouth to match. She's one of the few people who can shock me.
Let me put it this way. I was in the Army. She talks more about sex, in more graphic detail, than all of my Army buddies. And that's saying something.
And yes, I know she's really female, because I've known her since we were four years old.

Things were said that just dont come out of females mouths, even in a RPing enviroment. That's just the bottom line. Things were said to myself, my girlfriend, and my other SG members what were totally unacceptable and really crossed the line. It really was some disgusting crap.
Again, that said, I have my opinions about RPers. If that makes you think less of me, so be it. I can live with that. I'm sure a lot of people think the exact same way I do and have had similar experiences. You've prolly pounced on them just like you have me. Thats fine, I didnt expect anything less.

Funny thing. You pretty well described me there. From Alabama and am told I play females very well. Not that I try that hard, but I think that's the thing: most guys try TOO hard to play females.

Except that we do see the difference and others have told him that there's still no reason for it. As others have said, yes it's wrong to lead people to believe that you are something you aren't, but in a regular RP scenario, that's the whole point. Notice I said "in a regular RP scenario" meaning that this was an abnormal situation. I agree that what they did was wrong, but you can't hate on guys that RP as girls just because of these two people.
Oh yeah, and the sky is usually a light blue here on Earth. Maybe if you got out more, you'd know that. If you aren't living on the same planet as us, well, that explains a lot.

I agree that it's completely unacceptable to use such language when it's clearly making other people uncomfortable. That's just rude and inconsiderate.
But I'm telling you, it's not proof positive that these folks are really men. I'm speaking personally here, but of my best friends, the ones who really freak me out are the women.
There are, quite honestly, some acts and subjects I'd never have thought of until they told me about it, and probably be a saner person today if I didn't know.
Now, yes, chances are that someone who's being...lewd and crude on the Internet - yeah, they're probably a guy. I agree. That's most likely.
But it's not a certainty. 'course, I've tried to say that a few times and it's probably pointless, so I guess this is just one final IBTL.
