This would be amazingly helpful. But sadly there would still be people out there who would refuse to learn or understand what it was for and find new ways to misunderstand your intent anyway.

Online forms of satire/irony are notoriously tricky, but using emoticons, conventions like [sarcasm] and [/sarcasm] etc rather than the content of one's writing to convey the intent seems to me like cheating.

Yeah thats right.. a font made just for sarcasm. THat way everyone will know when not to take something seriously. It would save a lot of people, including Devs a lot of grief!!
