Hehe. In all fairness, I have a small stable of level 50 heroes and villains, but this one AT has just always been painful for me to play.
I decided to slug it out (finally), because everyone kept saying one you hit 32 it gets much better. (everyone was right). I think the highest I ever got a controller before this was 18.

I've only got 3 50's and the first one was a Mind/FF Controller. I swore I'd never level another Controller again! As of yesterday, I now have a 34 Ill/Kin who is quite fun to play now that he has his pet. PA was less than what i expected, but they did make life much easier at 18. I'm looking forward to 38 and fulcrum shift. 
After my 6th lvl 50 controller, I swore I wouldn't level up another................
Oh who am I kidding, my plant/kin is 44 and I'm already trying to figure out what controller I want to make next.

It's funny how some ATs really just 'fit' how a person likes to play. I have a friend that has a half dozen level 50 controllers, and at least half of my 50s are either Brutes or Scrappers.
I think in my heart of hearts, I just really love the SMASH!

And we controllers just really love to.... uh... snap our fingers and make a bunch of people completely freeze in their tracks??? I dunno, I guess we just love the control we have over the battlefield. We are power-hungry mofos.

I really think it just comes down to play style. With my tankers and scrappers, getting a controller to 50 was hard for me. i dont know how many i've deleted either so I share your pain.

My 50 Ill/Kin is closing in on perma-PA and is my solo AV hunter. And was the first controller I managed to get out of the 20s! But now I'm hooked...

Ill/Kin has no way to help PA do more damage, since you can't buff it; PA is pretty nasty when you have debuffs.

After 5 years of playing this game, and at least a half dozen attempts at playing a controller and scrapping it, I *finally* got a controller to level 32.
My fire/rad now has fire monkeys. They're a bit spastic but they really add to my damage, especially now that they're all slotted up at level 34!
